Ovelia Psistaria Bar Ratings and Reviews
The food was delicious! Given all the small plates we were able to try so many things (4 small plates) and then share two entrees (for 4 people) and cover a lot of the menu. Everything was very fresh and so good. I would highly recommend this place, especially in nice weather when the walls to the outside street are open.
I can't rave enough about this place. I've visited about 4 times in the past 3 weeks lol
The grilled cheese gluten free waffle is so amazing so the grilled buffalo calamari.
The fiesta sandwich is terrific. Great mimosas and the lemonade is worth every cent of the $8 that is
I absolutely love this place. The lemonade is amazing and so refreshing. The grilled Calamari buffalo or not is a must try. I love the chicken pita sandwich. Greek salad with figs!! Who would've thought it would be so delicious. Everyone is so friendly to our dogs. A truly unique menu and a treiffic meal everytime!!
The place is really nice and situated in a good intersection. Not all of the girls that served were doing their job well.We were left for an hour without being ask if we need anything or water etc but she took a great care of other couple that was sitting next to us..maybe they looked richer lol
As for food...Grilled octopus one of the best we had!!!Nice place to sit outdoors and have a nice glass of Retsina wine.Overal good, would recommend it
This place is fantastic. The lemonade is a not too sweet ultimate thirst quencher. I love the grilled cheese g/f waffle and my partner gets the chicken sandwich. I dream of the grilled calamari with pita, it's amazing! Best of all they welcome our dog at the outside tables.
Our second time at Ovelia and the meal was as delicious as the first time we went! Everyone enjoyed the appetizers (grilled octopus -the best! and beet salad with Greek yogurt, capers and walnuts-awesome!), entrees (whole branzino- delicate! and moussaka -amazing!) and desert (their homemade ice cream) out-of-this-world! I highly recommend it!
The restaurant had a fun, lively vibe, and the food was pretty good. It was nothing spectacular, but it also wasn't bad. It did take quite a while to get our food. The server was friendly, but very inattentive, and she gave us the wrong check at the end of our meal. We had to flag her down and point out the mistake.
Food was AMAZING! Try the fried feta cheese and buffalo calamari. I promise you'll love it. Lychee Bellini is great. Wish I could remember our server's name cause she was really good. I'm definitely coming back. I was there for brunch with two friends and they also loved the place.
Food was just OK this time around. Service was a bit spotty. My friend and I ordered 4 appetizers and a salad instead of main courses. Told the server to stagger the appetizers so they all did not come at once. She obviously did not listen because all 5 items were served together. Also was served a beer that was warm.
We ordered many of the restaurants vegetarian dishes to share & one pork chop dinner.
What we ordered:
Choice of three spreads: Kafteri, Tzatziki, & Hummus, served with pita. All of the spreads were tasty. The Kafteri, hot pepper spread, was the table's favorite.
Fakies Salad: loads of lentils, onions, & olives. Our table ordered 2 and enjoyed them.
Sides: Pantzaria & Patates Fournou
We were thrown off by the capers in the Pantzaria. As I bit into the walnut and beets it made my mouth salivate for more, then I bit the caper and the sour salty flavor just ruined it for me. One in our party really loved the combination.
The potatoes were well flavored.
Grilled Pork Chops were a bit over cooked and best eaten dunked in Tzatziki.
Overall we were satisfied with our ordering. We wouldn't order the pork Chops again.
Our waitress was nice, didn't pressure us to leave quickly and we sat & chatted for a bit.
