Not a great brunch selection and the prices so high for astoria $6 for tea and 19 for a piece of avacado toast with not much avacado would never go back.
Fantastic Easter Sunday meal. The food was outstanding and the service impeccable. Marshall is an amazing server who made our experience even better!
Service, and food was a 10.
Great place, enjoy the food, drinks, and atmosphere.
Yummy as always. Food is fresh and delicious. Best grilled octopus ever!
Absolutely love this place! Kid friendly and the menu is never the same! Always surprises me with something different and always delicious! Definitely a must go!
Truly am happy my friend, Angela, recommended Ovelia Psistaria Bar. Every single dish was tasty, cocktails were perfectly mixed, and staff was friendly and attentive. Looking forward to returning for sure.
The food is always outstanding. The atmosphere fun. However, on this occasion the service was worse than bad. It was non existent. Our server took our food and drink order and that was essentially the last time we saw her. No follow up. No inquiry if we needed anything further. Others had to pick up her slack to bring us a to go carton and our bill. It was very disappointing.
Food was far better than expected. Service was efficient but not overly attentive. Nobody ever came back to ask if we needed anything further to drink or eat during or nearing the end of the Mel
The prices have been raised significantly in 2019. It has become very expensive to eat here.
This is the place I always take guests when they come to Astoria. The entire menu is delicious, and we've tried almost all of it at this point.
I went to Ovelia for brunch. I got waffels with cheese ( it came with complimentary mimosa) - delicious. Good service and very European atmosphere .
Fresh, unique flavors in a contemporary, delightful setting coupled with first class service...
The food was absolutely amazing, each dish has its own special spin on it.
Everything was delicious and amazing! Excellent and friendly service too!
We had a fantastic meal and the service was great!!
Seat were extremely close I could hear both conversations from both sides of me and shoulders almost touching. Extremely uncomfortable especially on Valentine’s Day
The atmosphere was lovely a very well thought out and poised ambiance. We ordered a few small plates and a Greek salad. Everything was delicious. 10/10 would recommend for a date or intimate get together.
While there's certainly no shortage of Greek options in Astoria, Ovelia has always been one of the best options. Whether it's an entree or appetizer, dinner or brunch, or just drinks and mezzes, Ovelia never misses. The quality of the service and ambiance are right up there with the food. It's a great go-to for a date or a group.
I have been going here for years and it never disappoints! Great service and amazing food! Don’t miss their baklava pancakes !!!!
Good food, fast and friendly service. I would eat there again.
My go to Greek restaurant in Astoria. Very nice ambience, friendly staff, and delicious food!
Always a wonderful experience — I live in Astoria and take friends from out of town here. The Grilled feta cubes are always a big hit, and the inventive, delicious specials are always terrific. Really really nice staff too.
Good food and service
Overall a nice environment and nice experience.
Super expensive—one appetizer, two drinks, two entrees and a dessert was $150 with tip, easily one of the more expensive places I’ve ever eaten out at in Astoria (Nearly on par with Christo’s). If you’re willing to spend that kind of money then this place is great for a special occasion but I would never go back as a regular every day dining experience. The three dips with pita were good to start. The lamb dip I had was good but not worth the $25 in my opinion. The octopus (market price) was incredible.
Amazing food! Pitas are fresh. Small plates all delicious!
The atmosphere at Ovelia is always warm and welcoming. I love me some baklava pancakes every other month for brunch.
I have been eating at Ovelia for years and years and the food and service are consistently excellent. Great food and friendly service. Great happy hour and appetizers for when you just feel like sitting at the bar and hanging out a bit. It is my top go-to restaurant in Astoria.
Great place and great food. We had a great meal for Thanksgiving and we hope they keep this tradition of opening for Thanksgiving from now on. Amazing!!!
It was a delicious dinner! We had incredible service.
Wonderful meal on a Sunday night. House wine was on special for Happy Hour and was delicious. Dips were great, octopus the best I have had in a long time, and the salmon souvlaki was wonderful. Service was great, music was great. Time to become a regular!
Sunday evening dinner. Food was so good. One negative was it was very hot in the restaurant. Oddly warm night in October. That said the food was delicious! Great small plates so we got to share!!
Incredible food- I highly recommend the sesame honey feta cubes!
Good as always!
The waiter was not very attentive and my friends told him that we were there for my birthday and he brushed it off and only came back with the check after we had asked for it twice.
We had a wonderful meal for brunch at Ovelia! We ordered the trio of dips with pita as an appetizer and they were all delicious. Then one of us got eggs Florentine, which were poached eggs with hollandsise over slices of spinach filled pastry—beautiful and delicious! Another had baklava pancakes (incredible pancakes stacked with honey and nuts sprinkled over!), and another had the grilled chicken sandwich on bread that has feta baked into it. Everything was outstanding in flavor snd presentation. There were many items on the menu that appealed to all of us. Would highly recommend this place for brunch, and I would be interested to try their lunch and dinner menus also.
I N C R E D I B L E food. Had a wonderful table for 4 our front on a beautiful night. Great happy hour that went until 8pm (I think $5 house wine). We shared a couple of small plates. Winner of the night: Feta cubes. So incredible, melt in your mouth, sweet, salty, crispy, and creamy. Other dishes- 3 dips of (hummus, feta with peppers, and outstanding tzatziki), lamb meatballs, spanakopita, grilled shrimp, and zucchini chips. All were amazing, lamb was a bit dry though. Staff was very friendly, but we couldn’t get their attention for the last 20 minutes of our meal because it was so busy. Didn’t ruin the experience at all, highly recomend!
