A new favorite place - best dining experience my wife & I have had in a while! Ambiance was trendy, music was hip w/ just the right volume to both enjoy & allow for easy conversation. Atmosphere very friendly - a mix of young & old & all having a good time. Our table had a view of the open kitchen and the most comfy chairs we’ve ever sat in at a restaurant. The walls were adorned with plenty of interesting original art.
We picked Out of the Fire because we were driving an hour to a show at the Avalon Theater (another great experience) and we wanted a nice dinner. The challenge: My wife and I are the Whole 30 diet; similar to Paleo except absolutely no sugar, dairy, or grains, and only meat that is preferably local & grass-fed (I know, good luck eating out!). We found Out of the Fire by searching OpenTable for “Paleo Easton.” We had prepared ourselves to just settle for a plain burger with no bun, but when we told our server about our restrictions she immediately “got it” and offered several menu options, some with modifications the chef could make and a few that were fine as-is.
Our salads were creative & very tasty. For entrees my wife chose the squid and I chose the steak. Both were fantastic! Artfully prepared, portioned just right and featured a full palette of unique flavors that perfectly complemented each other.
The cocktail, wine & craft brew menu looked great, but since on Whole30 there’s no alcohol we stayed with water. Feeling hopefully inspired by our experience so far, I dared to ask our server if they by chance had Kombucha (a healthy fermented tea drink allowed on Whole30). I was expecting a “What is that?” look, but she told us they have a new batch of a locally-prepared Kombucha brew! Wow! The perfect meal got even better (although I was surprised to see an alcohol sales tax on my bill for a tea sold in grocery stores with only trace amounts of alcohol).
Our alone at Out of the Fire was more than worth the drive over the bridge! Thank you!
Service here is fantastic. The food is always wonderful. We enjoy the pizza here. Our friends ordered the gluten free pizza and enjoyed it. The mezze platter appetizer was delicious and generously sized.
Great broccoli salad and mushroom pizza!
We have been dining at Out of The Fire for 14 years. It has always been our favorite restaurant in Easton. Over the years it has evolved and kept up with the trends in food and preparation but never takes it too far. Tonight Chef Chris and staff blew it out of the water. Spectacular dinner! Special salad, pappardelle with lamb ragu that would put the best Italian cooks to shame and a trout preparation that was masterful. And the key to all good restaurants is the staff. Wow....they are all great. The owner Amy is almost always present .... a clear sign of the overall commitment to a successful establishment with consistently great results.
Outstanding! Casual, but top notch in every respect as delectable dishes are offered up from the open hearth oven in the back. Attention to detail with emphasis on organic and locally sourced food/ Well worth a drive to enjoy this popular Easton, MD restaurant.
To sum up our experience: Even though we have wonderful restaurants in Delaware, we regularly make the two-hour round trip to Easton. Out of the Fire has, without question, the best gluten free pizza we've ever eaten. The choices are interesting and extensive and the wood-fired pizza is always cooked to perfection. Wine and beer choices are imaginative too.
Best that there is in central Easton. Hands on by owner. Welcoming atmosphere. Meals and ingredients are carefully planned and selected.
Great as usual, the special swordfish dinner was, well, special! Never disappointed.
Awesome, healthy, local food! Our favorite restaurant in Easton! Does gluten free very well!
Food and service are never a disappointment. They always try to accommodate requests and the best thing they have (you sometimes have to ask for it) is the kale caesar salad. The curry, sea scallops and specials are the best that you will find in Easton and the surrounding area.
What can I say? This is our favorite restaurant. The food is always innovative, creative, expertly prepared, delicious, fresh, local, and prepared by a chef that is eager to share any information requested regarding the ingredients. Chris, the chef, obviously loves what he does, and it's apparent from the first bite. Amy, the owner, is eager to bring in only the best, freshest, and locally sourced products. My wife and I love this restaurant.
Lovely food, wine and atmosphere, just right for a special lunch.
We are so lucky to have this great restaurant in town. Chris is a great chef. We can always find something special and unique prepared with care and passion. Wines are also great and the service is consistently wonderful.
Our favorite Easton restaurant! Every dish we’ve had there has been absolutely delicious and unique. We love it!
Great meal as usual, waitstaff exceptional and timed meal perfectly. The Mahi dinner special was delicious and the regular menu items as great as always. Can't go wrong here.
It was a date night for us, new to the area. We both had a pizza that we felt were a bit over priced. Both pizzas had okay taste but nothing to go back for. We were disappointed.
Have been to Out of The Fire several times and each time it continues to be a wonderful experience. The quality is consistent from time to time and I'm speaking of everything from the greeting upon arriving, the service and of course the food. I own a local B&B and I'm always being asked by my guests for recommendations. It's a tricky question because what I may think is great, someone else may not. But when it comes to Out of the Fire, I'm confident in recommending this establishment and all of my guests come back thanking me for such a great recommendation. This place is a "must" if you're in Easton for any reason.
What a wonderful date night! The staff continues to exceed our expectations from service to food. I feel that every effort is made to make our dining experience special. The sword entree with the tangy Mediterranean preparation was delicious! The portion size was perfect. Thank you for a special night, can’t wait to return!
As always, food was wonderful, service impeccable. Tables a little close together and can be difficult to converse, but food worth those minor annoyances.
We had a lovely meal and excellent service. Great value for the price. My only recommendation would be to improve the ambience in the main dining area. It is very cold and generic.
We went to Out of the Fire on a Friday afternoon for a friend’s 60th birthday celebration. Loved the ambience especially the original oil pastel artwork and the lounge seating area by the bar. The curtain at the front reception area is a great (and thoughtful) idea functions by as an awesome wind block in chilly weather. The food was delicious. We enjoyed both the Bianca and margarita pizza as well as the Thai green curry turkey burger that came with an awesome chutney. A terrific spot for a great lunch with truly special friends.
Excellent pizza and salad. Wait staff professional and friendly. Wines by the glass and bottle.
The food and service at Out of the Fire is always good and creative. The atmosphere is also warm and inviting. The owner, Amy, is very nice and moves around the dining room.
We frequently visit Out of the Fire whenever we can. The food is fantastic and the service, shout out to Heather, is always attentive and helpful. I fully recommend a meal here.
Delicious as usual. The mussels are plentiful and huge!
This tine we tried the Brussels sprouts and cauliflower appetizers, both very tasty.
Greeted and seated immediately. Attentive wait staff to take our beverage order and share specials. Enjoyed one of the featured wood grilled pizzas and Caesar salad. Excellent portion size and food quality. Nice wine selection as well. We loved it and will return.
Creative menu, beautifully prepared.
We were celebrating a birthday & anniversary with friends. We all commented how much we enjoyed the dinner. Not our first visit, but for some reason the scallops and mussels hit the spot.
The chocolate mousse dessert was delish along with the pistachio cake.
Let’s not forget the sangria too!
Out of the Fire is one of the best restaurants on the eastern shore. Amy Haines, owner and host holds court every night greeting her guests and visiting tables throughout the evening. It is an unfussy, warm, inviting Restaurant with great food. The chef is very creative and the ingredients are always fresh and well sourced from local farms. There is an ever changing display of artwork on the walls. Last night my husband had lamb pappardelle that was delicious. The pasta tasted home made and sauce was terrific. I had trout with a delicious cabbage bacon sauté . One of our guests had an interesting curry. It was a delicious and delightful evening!
Had special salad for lunch. Salad interesting, cucumbers, olives, fennel, black eyed peas with spring mix, tossed with citrus vinagarette, top with three way over cooked, flattened, peculiar oysters. Tomato soup delicious.
Dinner at Out of the Fire has been one of our favorite reservations to make. The food is consistently very good and the service scores the same. Always a must-stop for when we are traveling in the area.
Great as always!! Superb!!
Cozy, easy-to-converse atmosphere. Three in our group of six ordered the fire roasted trout dinner. Delicious!
This is a must place to eat and drink! The ambiance is warm and eclectic. The service is impeccable, and the hostess always greets you with a smile. The food is exquisitely presented and so unique and creative. We love the organic spirits and cuisine. The dishes are farm to table and seasonal. I love everything about this restaurant!
Out of the Fire is a well loved spot in Easton. Great, original cuisine, suitable for foodies. Organic and vegetarian selections are delicious. Great place to see and be seen. Warm, friendly service. A bit pricey but worth it.
We always enjoy eating at Out of the Fire and consider ourselves regulars. The food is delicious with "large enough" portions but not overly so. The wait staff is seasoned -we have always gotten great service. One of our favorite things to do there is order the Mezze platter as soon as we sit down, because it takes a while to prepare and it's very pleasant to share over a glass of wine while waiting for the rest of the meal to arrive. The pita is available gluten free as is the pizza-even though we don't have gluten allergies we usually order the gluten free option because it's so delicious.
Despite the distance from home, Out of the Fire has become one of our favorites. Among other things, their wood-fired, gluten free pizza is the best we've ever had. And, we continue to be impressed by the wine list. And, worth noting, this visit was on a night when winter storm warnings were in effect. But the gloomy forecast - reason for several restaurants to close early -
had no impact on the service or the food.
Everything was absolutely delicious. There was a slight mixup on our order and the manager was so gracious in ensuring that our experience was positive. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Out of the Fire to friends. We will definitely return.
Best place in town for quality food and a delicious meal.
Wonderful meal every time we cone here! The staff is excellent and knowledgeable of their menu and drink menu... Much appreciated the great wine suggestions! It is easy to take all friends and family here because there is something for everyone, our vegetarian friends, our organic farmer, our meat lovers and also those with interest in trying something new. The owner, Amy, card about her products, and serving her customers well. We return often because of this consistently high quality dinner.
