Thoughtful, creative and delicious food. We are eager to go back.
Everything was great.
We enjoyed Out of the Fire. First, the service was great--attentive and careful. When a beer showed up late, it was comped immediately. Second, the mezze platter was fabulous and plenty for two to share. Fresh and good. We had the mozzarella and basil pizza--good but nothing to write home about. Thin crust, which was tasty. Maybe slightly overbaked--a bit of burn on the tomato sauce which was still tasty. I liked the decor, especially the decorative tiles around the windows. Parking was easy on a Th night. Can't say enough about the great quality service. We would definitely return and recommend. Our entire meal cost $40, including tip.
Always a winner. Because the menu changes based on what produce is available locally (owner Amy Haines is committed to the freshest, most conscientiously grown and harvested ingredients, there are often surprises on the menu. Last night’s surprise - scallop ceviche. Oh. My. Simply amazing. Hoping it’s around all summer!
I thought this restaurant was so refreshing! I was from out of town and this place was very exciting. Different and delicious. I ordered mussels and they were divine, in a tomato broth and piled high. I also had the most delicious garlic rosemary (guessing) bread before the meal. The menu is unique, trendy and honestly delicious. Definitely fit for foodies and someone wanting something satisfying and exciting.
The food was absolutely terrific. The menu was eclectic and interesting. I'd highly recommend this restaurant. The front portion of the restaurant could be a little warmer and have more intimate lighting, but the rear of the restaurant is cozier.
We have made this one of our favorite stops. The food is always very good
Loved it! Some offerings fancier than they needed to be - but everything delicious! Great service and atmosphere.
We have been coming to Out of the Fire for years. It's our "go-to" restaurant b/c of the high quality & excellent preparation of food, much of it locally-sourced. The mussels always are wonderful - very plump. I brought some home w/ the sauce to serve over pasta. The scallop ceviche was almost too pretty to eat.
Our party of 4 included a couple who we've taken before, but they were happy to return. We started the evening w/ a very fine Chablis. Everyone was happy with the meal, start to creme brulee finish.
Thank you very much!
It would appear Out of the Fire does not work well with OpenTable. When using OpenTable, it showed only seating available for 5:30 pm and 8:00pm on a Saturday night. We selected the 5:30 seating and when we left at 7:00pm, the place was half full. Obviously Out of the Fire holds back tables from OpenTable for walk-ins. I would recommend skipping OpenTable and calling directly for a reservation.
This is our favorite restaurant in Talbot County, MD!!
Ordered the Brisket Sandwich, which was fabulous and looking to order it again. Everything was exceptional, as usual. Unfortunate that we’re not closer.
Always a great experience! The food is incredibly fresh and expertly prepared. The specials reflect what’s in season on the local produce market and they go out of their way to support local farms. A good choice any day.
Always a favorite. Food inventive. Wines obscure. Will accommodate special requests. I will go back again and again.
A first class restaurant. We are never disappointed. Interesting delicious food served by always pleasant and knowledgeable staff. Friendly and attentive owner.
Family dinner with assorted tastes makes this restaurant a very good option, with very good pizza as well as a pretty sophisticated menu. Service was not only pleasant but knowledgeable about the food and wine. Often the farm to table mantra is a bit much but here it works really well.
Excellent food (seasonal specials) and friendly service. We have frequented this restaurant many times and have never been disappointed.
The menu offerings are always creative and always good. The service is excellent. The ambience is lovely and it's quiet. One of my favorite places to go.
We live in DC but spend a lot of time on the Eastern Shore. Out of the Fire has been and continues to be one of our favorite restaurants - period. The food is excellent (thank you Chef Chris), the service is attentive and the owner/manager Amy is always welcoming. . We have been going to Out of the Fire for at least a dozen years now and have ever never been disappointed in the least.
Nothing short of phenomenal! The servers are kind, gracious and knowledgeable. AND the food......just outstanding from start to finish. Ramps, PEI mussels, pizza, and the forever favorite, the Smoked Potatoes. Spread the word. This is a stellar restaurant.
The "Meze" was outstanding and meal in itself for two. We had a bottle of Tarima Hills Spanish red which was a great bargain for a fine wine. The Calabrese pizza was spicy and had great crust. Service was outstanding. This spot is a must in Easton
Wonderful service always great food one of our favorite places to take special people!
Thank you for another great meal!
This is just a great place. The food is always excellent, there is good variety on the menu including entrees and small plates and you feel comfortable dressed up or down.
A new favorite place - best dining experience my wife & I have had in a while! Ambiance was trendy, music was hip w/ just the right volume to both enjoy & allow for easy conversation. Atmosphere very friendly - a mix of young & old & all having a good time. Our table had a view of the open kitchen and the most comfy chairs we’ve ever sat in at a restaurant. The walls were adorned with plenty of interesting original art.
We picked Out of the Fire because we were driving an hour to a show at the Avalon Theater (another great experience) and we wanted a nice dinner. The challenge: My wife and I are the Whole 30 diet; similar to Paleo except absolutely no sugar, dairy, or grains, and only meat that is preferably local & grass-fed (I know, good luck eating out!). We found Out of the Fire by searching OpenTable for “Paleo Easton.” We had prepared ourselves to just settle for a plain burger with no bun, but when we told our server about our restrictions she immediately “got it” and offered several menu options, some with modifications the chef could make and a few that were fine as-is.
Our salads were creative & very tasty. For entrees my wife chose the squid and I chose the steak. Both were fantastic! Artfully prepared, portioned just right and featured a full palette of unique flavors that perfectly complemented each other.
The cocktail, wine & craft brew menu looked great, but since on Whole30 there’s no alcohol we stayed with water. Feeling hopefully inspired by our experience so far, I dared to ask our server if they by chance had Kombucha (a healthy fermented tea drink allowed on Whole30). I was expecting a “What is that?” look, but she told us they have a new batch of a locally-prepared Kombucha brew! Wow! The perfect meal got even better (although I was surprised to see an alcohol sales tax on my bill for a tea sold in grocery stores with only trace amounts of alcohol).
Our alone at Out of the Fire was more than worth the drive over the bridge! Thank you!
Service here is fantastic. The food is always wonderful. We enjoy the pizza here. Our friends ordered the gluten free pizza and enjoyed it. The mezze platter appetizer was delicious and generously sized.
Great broccoli salad and mushroom pizza!
We have been dining at Out of The Fire for 14 years. It has always been our favorite restaurant in Easton. Over the years it has evolved and kept up with the trends in food and preparation but never takes it too far. Tonight Chef Chris and staff blew it out of the water. Spectacular dinner! Special salad, pappardelle with lamb ragu that would put the best Italian cooks to shame and a trout preparation that was masterful. And the key to all good restaurants is the staff. Wow....they are all great. The owner Amy is almost always present .... a clear sign of the overall commitment to a successful establishment with consistently great results.
Outstanding! Casual, but top notch in every respect as delectable dishes are offered up from the open hearth oven in the back. Attention to detail with emphasis on organic and locally sourced food/ Well worth a drive to enjoy this popular Easton, MD restaurant.
To sum up our experience: Even though we have wonderful restaurants in Delaware, we regularly make the two-hour round trip to Easton. Out of the Fire has, without question, the best gluten free pizza we've ever eaten. The choices are interesting and extensive and the wood-fired pizza is always cooked to perfection. Wine and beer choices are imaginative too.
Best that there is in central Easton. Hands on by owner. Welcoming atmosphere. Meals and ingredients are carefully planned and selected.
Great as usual, the special swordfish dinner was, well, special! Never disappointed.
Awesome, healthy, local food! Our favorite restaurant in Easton! Does gluten free very well!
Food and service are never a disappointment. They always try to accommodate requests and the best thing they have (you sometimes have to ask for it) is the kale caesar salad. The curry, sea scallops and specials are the best that you will find in Easton and the surrounding area.
What can I say? This is our favorite restaurant. The food is always innovative, creative, expertly prepared, delicious, fresh, local, and prepared by a chef that is eager to share any information requested regarding the ingredients. Chris, the chef, obviously loves what he does, and it's apparent from the first bite. Amy, the owner, is eager to bring in only the best, freshest, and locally sourced products. My wife and I love this restaurant.
Lovely food, wine and atmosphere, just right for a special lunch.
We are so lucky to have this great restaurant in town. Chris is a great chef. We can always find something special and unique prepared with care and passion. Wines are also great and the service is consistently wonderful.
Our favorite Easton restaurant! Every dish we’ve had there has been absolutely delicious and unique. We love it!
Great meal as usual, waitstaff exceptional and timed meal perfectly. The Mahi dinner special was delicious and the regular menu items as great as always. Can't go wrong here.
It was a date night for us, new to the area. We both had a pizza that we felt were a bit over priced. Both pizzas had okay taste but nothing to go back for. We were disappointed.
