Oswego Grill - Kruse Way
Since discovering the Grill, we have had pre-show dinners there multiple times (including a stop even in Wilsonville). Service, except for our particular server (but she also had a big table), was as usual very good. The manager makes it a point to talk with every diner which does not always happen even at some of the "finer" restaurants. My fried chicken was flavorful and tender. They substituted a side salad because I am not a coleslaw fan. On the other hand, my wife felt that her Oswego linguine lack taste, and her chicken was not that tender. She had a salad, with no choice of dressing. Whatever was the dressing had little taste, I even noted that with my side salad. It seemed to be just oil without any acid, e.g., vinegar.
As usual, and one of the reasons we continue to go, is the dessert, The donuts are truly a specialty - we might even get brave and try something different sometime.
I must commend the front-of-the-house for holding our reservation. We had to call to let the Grill know we were coming. 217 was a parking lot on Friday.
We will continue to come, but perhaps my wife will try some other dish besides the pasta.
I had the salmon asparagus risotto which was very good. My friend had a fish dish with mashed potatoes and a lot of fresh asparagus and she loved it too. I had made a reservation on Open Table and got there about 15 minutes early, They seated us right away and the overall service was outstanding. They greeted us warmly and our waitress was so outgoing and very attentive. We were there on a Friday night during happy hour so the place was packed and noisy. In summary, I’ll be going back again soon.
When seating a couple it's best to put them in a booth rather than in the middle of a bunch of families with noisy kids.
Great gluten free options. Absolutely the nicest servers out there. They work hard to make it perfect.
The food and service was amazing. Had to wait 30 minutes after our reservation and the parking is horrible (not much of it) but other than that it was great.
We’ve never had a miss at Oswego Grill and this time was no exception. The Salmon Risotto special was terrific and the stuffed chicken and sole entrees were as tasty as always. The quality of the service matched the meal as well for an all around great experience!
Oswego Grill was great! I was there for lunch with my mother, and the service was fantastic. Noise level was ideal, and the food was delicious.
The food was delicious. Thank you.
I made a reservation 2 days prior. My wife and I showed up right on time but still had to wait 20+ minutes to be seated. Our table was in an area that they just moved folks because of the cold air coming in from the outside. That was disappointing.
Other than that, our experience was pleasant. Food was alright, but don't think quite worth the price. My New York steak was cooked perfectly, but lacked flavor. Mashed potatoes were kind of bland. My wife had the chicken marsala and said chicken was a little tough.
I wouldn't have chosen to go to this restaurant but I received a gift certificate so we went. Most of us thought the food was great, but my son ordered the prime rib and he said it was horrible. I would have had him send it back if he would have told me but he didn't mention it until we were leaving. One of us had fish and chips and he LOVED it. Three of us had salmon. We upgrade to wild salmon for a few dollars more and it was outstanding. Honestly overall it was good but I can't give five stars because of the prime rib. The waitress was very good. We all commented on how attentive she was. At the end of our meal the manager came by our table to check on how we enjoyed our meal. It was a beautiful and fairly quiet restaurant and I would go here again. Just beware of the prime rib!
Food and service really good, however, our server forgot our appetizer. We didn't get charged for it though.
Good lunch option in LO, especially now that they actually take reservations.
We enjoyed dinner on the 27th, and were seated in a nice booth rather away from most of the happy and loud conversations in the central area as we requested. We ordered a Malbec that was not to our liking and they immediately replaced it with something we enjoyed. Our canadian guests were quite smitten with the restaurent, and we were so glad we recommended it. We all thought our entries were very good. The waiter was quite young/inexperienced, but did a very credible job.
We love coming here but the temp is often cold and the price is high. We can only come for special events.
Took my elderly parents there (98 and 97) and they were most accommodating. Great food and service!
We had a great dinner at Oswego Grill. The varied menu had options that appealed to everyone in our group and the quality of food was high. Service was especially good. We will definitely go back.
I ordered Meatloaf. Very salty. The rest was great
Disappointed in meal---trout was crispy with burnt edges and minimal sauce. Had this same entree meal a few months ago and it was delicious. The other meal of wild salmon was half-cooked. Felt like entire experience was rushed---our meal was served within 10 minutes of ordering and we hadn't even received our drinks yet!
Our server was new but we couldn’t tell. She was fantastic! We had people checking in on regular intervals. Appetizer was out quickly. Drinks were refilled regularly. Good flow. Great great experience. Definitely recommend the Lake O. location.
This restaurant had excellent food and the service was ideal, for a place that popular. I went for my 2 year anniversary and they surprised us with one of their famous banana splits, for free!
Will go again.
Always reliably good which is why this place is packed . The sirloin tips in cabernet sauce is my favorite!
Our waitress was great. The food was very good and cooked perfectly.
The service and the food was great, my fiance cant have dairy and they were very accommodating and made our experience great, the steaks were prepared excatly how we asked, it was a very good experience.
The restaurant was really busy as it was the weekend after Valentine’s Day, but with our reservation we were seated immediately. Our server greeted us promptly, and never left us unattended for too long. We did have a mix-up with drinks from the bar, but the manager personally fixed the problem for us. The food was INCREDIBLE, and we definitely plan on a return visit!!
One of the three orders was fish n' chips. The fish and fries were soggy (not crisp). Another order item was the chicken kale salad. It would have been better if the kale was combined with other greens (i.e., leaf or romaine lettuce and perhaps some other veggies (carrots, cucumber, celery, etc.), but still keeping kale as the main ingredient. The amount of kale was overwhelming. The chicken was good.
The sundaes were great--could have had a little less whipping cream.
We were celebrating Valentines And enjoyed our experience immensely! The food was fantastic and the service was great.
First time here ... made a lunch reservation and we arrived a little early. They had no issues taking us early and we were able to get a booth as well. Service was excellent, specials were presented. Food came quickly and was hot and tasty.
I have been to Oswego Grill many times, but this visit was by far the worse I have ever experienced. If this was the first time I had gone I probably would not go back. First, I ordered an entrée off the special menu, and then the waitress said, Oh sorry, I forgot we are out of that. We ordered a wedge salad and asked that it be chopped in the back, it came not chopped and we had to send it back. When it came back it was only chopped somewhat, we order it this way on almost every occasion. Then both of our entrees were poor. My fish was not cooked and my friends Rueben was cold. Needless to say, we did not have a good experience.
Moved to this area in October and this has become my go to place. Great food, Service, and Place.
Valentines, late night date. Great food and service. A white rose for the lady. Thank you OG!
Was a great experience.
First time attending and very impressed with the service and consideration
not sure how to answer noise level question but is was fine ie now noise issue
Wouldn’t usually complain about service being to fast but entree came out before having a chance to enjoy our salads
We have been regular customers since this restaurant opened. We have never been disappointed. The staff is very friendly and the food is great...both quality and consistency. Oswego Grill is our favorite restaurant.
Friendly greeting. Seated to our table right on time. Helpful, friendly, attentive waitress. Prompt service. Food cooked to perfection. All around outstanding meal and evening.
Great staff and food made for a wonderful valentine dinner.......
Busy, but good food and pretty good service. Would recommend for a lunch.
Our server was informative regarding our questions about the menu and continued to be attentive without disturbing our dinner. It was helpful to be able to make the reservation ahead of time on line.
I must say that it is crazy to have to produce more than 50 words in a review. One word should be just as acceptable. xxxxx xxxxxxxxx . xxxxxx
Oswego Grille has consistently excellent service, food quality and delightful menu. Three of us dined there for a business lunch, and the noise level was such that we almost decided to leave, and go somewhere that we could hear our own conversations. I'll visit again because I really like the restaurant, but I may be requesting a quiet table somehow.
Very good food. Competent and trained staff from the hostess to the waitress. Food was well prepared and tasty.
