Waitress was nice and honest but food preparation took an extremely long time, which was surprising because only one other group was dining at the same time as us. Food was good but not extraordinary, so it was not worth the long wait.

The rice in our sushi was super crunchy and felt almost uncooked. How a sushi restaurant can get their rice wrong is beyond me.

When we were seated at 7 pm on Saturday night ,the hostess informed us the main sushi chef did not show up so it would be over 30 minutes to get our sushi. There were hardly any tables seated at this time. We weren't in a hurry so this wasn't a problem. We decided to order some appetizers. My son was excited to introduce me to Shisito peppers but when he ordered them, they were out. This is 7:00 pm on a Sat night- not a good sign. We got some other appetizers and drinks. We enjoyed a leisurely time, but it was over an hour before the sushi arrived. I felt we should have been comped some aps or drinks or something for the long wait. There's a big choice around Harvard Square to dine so doubtful we'll be back.

For more than an hour from when we arrived we waited for our miso soup & were not informed that two usual chefs were both out and that one beginning chef was having to prepare food for a whole room of patrons. We were finally informed after about 90 minutes and thought that at this point things would start to move but it was almost another hour before we got our maki which turned out to not be good. The fish covering my maki did not seem fresh & was mushy They did give us another bowl of soup & some edamane for free, which was a nice gesture, but if we had been informed when we came in that this was the situation we would have just come back another time. The one positive service was the man filling up our water glasses. We will not return again.

We stopped in after attending an event at Harvard and upon our arrival, we were informed that the sushi chef didn't show so they were about 20 minutes slow on getting sushi orders out. Not being in a rush we felt that was fine...60 minutes later we still didn't have our food and we were told it would be another 15-20 minutes. I should stress that the Manager and the Server were very kind throughout the process but it seemed as if they could have better managed the situation. I have no idea if the sushi was good as we ended up leaving prior to its arrival but based on this experience, I would not return nor would I recommend it.

The last time I dined here, we hit Monday night 30% off deal, and that was a great surprise! This place is normally a little pricy, so the discount made the dinner much more reasonable. This Monday, our waitress was very standoffish and rude, but in the past we have had just fine service. We will continue to return for sushi treats!

Short staff that night. Waited on a side order for about 30 minutes and had to get up and find him. We were a party of four and they consolidated our order on one large plate. That made it hard to figure out who ordered what.

My boyfriend and I dined here on a snowy night. I saw that people had issues with the service, but we DID NOT. Our waiter was nice and attentive...even making drink recommendations. The food was fresh and good, and it came quickly. No complaints...only good things to say!

The food was good, yet pricey, and we had a great experience until the waitress started yelling at another fellow staff member. It was very rude and she did it multiple times while we were dining. All of the other staff members were very nice and accommodating but she was an embarrassment for the restaurant. I felt bad that they had to work with her. Good sushi though. Also the waitress made sure to remind us to tip on the whole bill, which we already knew to....obviously.

Tacky decor, average service, terrible drinks, and subpar food for the area. Went there to see a local musician, and decided to go early for pre-show dinner and drinks. This place was so bad I ended up leaving before the show started. Across the board, you can do better than this place by walking 2 blocks in any direction in the Square.

We went to O Sushi early on a Tuesday night for dinner. It was not crowded and yet the service was among the worst I have ever experienced. Our server named Amika literally had a frown on her face and barely spoke to us. She looked angry and was extremely unpleasant. To make matters worse the sushi we ordered was not good. Our son got one of the noodle dishes which was much better than the sushi. Overall terrible service which acted like we were inconveniencing them by eating there.

The sushi rolls fell apart, they tasted good but they werent wrapped tight enough and the rice kept falling off. Our appetizer came out after the meal was served. There was a mix up on our bill where two items we did not order were on our bill and we had to ask for it to be taken off. When we first got there we we're told they were having power problems and couldn't take cards so we had to walk and find an ATM for cash.

Came here for dinner riDICulously early because I was starving. Thanks to my OpenTable reservation, I was seated straight away at a high-top (as I'd requested) instead of being relegated to the sushi bar. From my vantage point, I could see the TV, the bar, the other diners, and people passing by the restaurant (it was still daylight outside). I ordered some Bishona sake, the TNT maki roll and the Hamachi Jade roll. Everything was delicious, although it was very off-putting to have three different wait staff ask me (with my mouth full!) if everything was ok! I was also a little disappointed that their sake/soju menu featured many items that they no longer had in stock (e.g. the O Sampler).
That being said, I had a lovely dinner for one. Finished with a scoop of green tea and lychee icecream, and left with a full belly and a happy wallet. Will come back again.

The food we ordered--assorted ngiri, soba noodles, shumai, shrimp and vegetable tempura--was excellent. It was expertly prepared, attractively presented and delicious. It arrived in a reasonable amount of time, though the restaurant was very busy. The problem was with the bar. I ordered a mixed drink which took about 25 minutes to come and was made wrong. My date ordered the same drink 10 minutes after I did and hers never arrived, despite our being told "the bartender is working on it now." We finished eating, cancelled the drink order and asked for the check. We did see other parties near us get bar orders in the mean time, which was annoying. My suggestion is to stick to soft drinks, sake, beer or wine, but not to order anything that takes a bartender's attention, even if you have all night.

The place is stylish, uncommon for Asian eateries plus the food is reasonably priced and the servings huge, which is a welcome combination in Harvard Square! The music and noise level was just right and the food was great.

We were seated by a very polite host at around 6:45, and left around 7:15 after no one showed up to take drink orders or drop off water. All of the wait staff seemed very busy and ignored us, avoiding eye contact in that way that busy wait staff learn to do. It was busy but not packed, there were probably 5 open tables. After 15 minutes of trying to get someone's attention without being rude, we figured we'd have a more enjoyable dinner elsewhere and we left.

Very good, fresh sushi, excellent service (they knew we had to get out quickly for a play and served us promptly) and a very convenient location. They did not have the reservation that I made through OpenTable. It was not a problem as we were early, so they were able to seat us, but it was disconcerting. Ambience and decor very casual and a tiny bit worn, I thought. Comfortable, though.

This was the second time we've eaten at Osushi and we've been pleased both times. We've only had their raw food, but the fish is very fresh and tasty. The noisy "background" music is *not* a plus. Why do so many restaurants decide it's a good idea to make it harder for their guests to converse?

The waiter pretty much served us everything at once; starters and main courses. The seafood pancake tasted funny as the pancake mix seem wasn't fully cooked. We had to take it home and pan fried it. The waiter didn't even bother to give us the dipping sauce to take home with the pancake. Kind of disappointed by this visit!

I did not realize this restaurant would have a TV broadcasting the World Cup, and we ended up showing up for our dinner reservation right around the final 30 minutes or so of a game. It was very loud but our waitress and the manager were very nice and moved us to a table outside. My one downside was initially (while the place was packed with people watching the game) it took a while for us to get water - about 45 minutes. But after the game died down everything came quickly, the staff was very nice and helpful and the food was amazing. Once the game was over and the crowd dispersed I was able to see the restaurant and it was beautiful. Another downside was it took about 30 minutes once we were done eating to pay.
