The food was good and the service attentive.
What I did not like was the night of illness afterwards: avoid the risotto!

Had an early dinner reservation after “Sound of Music’. I casually mentioned to our server, Earl, that we hadn’t been there in a long time but remembered a special dish. Next thing we know, the chef was at our table asking if he could create a special pasta. After the delicious appetizers of calamari and veal meatballs, out came the pasta, cauliflower & kale dish with a crunchy breadcrumb topping. Made me float into the air!! Great experience! Can’t wait to go back.

My wife and I ate there for her birthday before seeing a show in the Theatre District. The service was great, our waiter was always at our table at the right time. We probably asked dumb questions about the menu, and acted like novices ordering wine, but he was very courteous and helpful. He even deftly handled his response when we told him which show we were seeing. The food was good and served in a timely manner. We were able to leave our car with valet until after the show which was nice. It is certainly walkable to the district if you want to skip on the cab ride.

We loved it! Our server Matt was excellent. He really knew his red wines. The Pre Fixe menu was amazing. So Much food for the price. The fish, beef and short ribs were all superb. The carrots were beyond! Can’t wait to go back!

Nice Italian restaurant with good food and reasonable prices for the area. Attractive dining room. Service staff a bit overzealous in clearing tables to turn them. You get rushed if you want to take your time.

2nd time here, the sea bass was wonderful! Waiter was friendly and nice. Great piano player/singer. Will be definitely come back.

Maybe some of the best Italian I’ve ever had. Ingredients tasted fresh. Combining Italian with midwestern food supplies, great combination. The next time I’m in Chicago, I will definitely go back.

This is my new go to for delicious Italian. The roasted garlic in oil is amazing! The marinara sauce is very tasteful! Pasta and seafood done perfectly! The restaurant itself is so beautiful. The wait staff are very personable, they make you feel at home and never rush you at any point of the meal. Earl is my fav! Excellent experience and will definitely go back! Super impressed- I have told several friends already!! Plus its a Lettuce Restaurant! Bonus!

Great food. Good service. The Italian cuisine was very well done. The Black Old Fashioned was one of the best I’ve had. Highly recommend the restaurant and drink. Pizza there the next day was just as wonderful.

The Italian Dinner Party is a great value. The food is fresh, delicious and plentiful. All of the dishes were outstanding. My wife and I shared the Bring Me Wine option in which we were brought 4 different glasses of wine during the evening. Our waiter, Mark, was friendly and helpful, which made the evening even better. He recommended that we try our leftover risotto for breakfast topped with a poached egg, we took his advice and it was fabulous!

Amazing food!

Excellent authentic Italian cuisine. Celebrating our son’s 21st birthday with the Italian dinner party. Excellent wine list and plenty of options decided to bring our own to celebrate the special occasion only charge a $20 corkage fee. Highly recommend having been here multiple times in the last six months. Certainly look forward to our next visit and will stop in once again.

This restaurant is loud. And the push a lot of tables into a very small area. It’s not romantic at all.

All of our food was delicious!! The service was great. Oh and the warm bread with olive oil and garlic for starters is AMAZING!

This restaurant was incredibly busy the night I ate there. The waiter was very nice but he had his hands full hence 4 stars. The food was terrific. Everything was superb and served in perfect portions. They don't lie when they say they have great desserts too. The ricotta cheesecake is worth the calories. I'll be returning.

we had to wait 40 min for our table to be set up. we were seated at 9:10 even tho our reservation was at 8:30. server was not very attentive throughout dinner. poor experience.

Brought our in laws who were experiencing Chicago for the first time. Our server, Chris, was very knowledgeable, polite, confident, and personable. The wait staff was also very attentive as we never had a water glass go empty. The food was wonderful, as usual.

This restaurant is fantastic! During the week, our reservation went from nine people to 12 people to 10 people and, at the last minute, back to 12 people. We were flexible and willing to break up the party or to keep it at 10 if they could not accommodate the extra two people. They were so gracious to get us set up and in on time. The food was extraordinary, as usual. The chef was extremely attentive to one guest who had a severe food allergy. And the server was really great (I wish I could remember his name). Overall, 5 stars and can’t wait to go back.

We had a family dinner before going to see Hamilton. The 4 of us all LOVED our entrees. My husband and son both had the short ribs, my daughter the risotto special and I had the scallop special. Everything was delicious. Our server was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional.

Felt like the server was unhappy with us not choosing the prix fixe. Otherwise the experience was great, the food was amazing and they paid attention to the special notes that I made when I reserved.

We were there for Valentine's Day and had a wonderful meal and nice romantic table! We were in a corner by several candles so it was a very nice setting away from all the hustle and bustle of the restaurant given the holiday. Food was wonderful, better than what we've had before! We frequent this restaurant especially for special occasions and get the "dinner party" package all the time. This is probably the best meal we had at the restaurant! They normally do a great job and its always a great value but 2/14 was exceptional. However, I just loved my scallops and gnocchi on 2/14! Hats off to the Chef for such a wonderful job given the volume they were getting that night for V-day! I loved the nice touch of the single rose that they gave to all the ladies coming in that night - thank you! We look forward to having many more meals here in the future!

Earl was a fantastic server! He was attentive, high energy and one of the best servers we’ve had in a long time.

He is an all-star!
