We went for a birthday celebration because the birthday girl wanted pasta. The pasta there is so amazing! The penne dish was perfect for the teen birthday girl and the other dishes were also great. They brought her a scoop of ice cream with a candle on the side without a lot of fuss, no singing or anything- which was exactly right. That vanilla gelato was so good and rich it should be criminal. Would definitely dine here again!
This used to be one of my favorite places. But our visit on 10/17 was sub-par. The menu was VERY limited. The service was OK, but a little slow. That was not a big problem because all restaurant staff are running shorthanded these days. But the ambiance was not good at all - kinda like a ghostyard.
Sorry -- I'll try again in about a year...
We got the Italian dinner, and instead of bringing everything out in stages, they brought it out almost all at once, which I didn’t like. This was a birthday dinner, and they did nothing special, like past restaurants I’ve been too. Food was okay, just nothing special. Would not go back.
We have dined here many many times and always have had a great experience. Last night was our anniversary (we actually had our first date here). When I made the reservation I assumed it would be in the main finding hall, instead it was in the little room off of the hotel lobby. Had I known there was a wedding going on in the main room I would not have made the reservation and waited maybe the following week going there. Because of the special event in the main dining room our main course took over an hour, service was slow. The waitress was very nice and we can tell overworked. It was not quite the meal we had hoped for. Again, had someone called us when they saw on the reservation we were celebrating our anniversary Anniversary let us know the situation. We would had changed days
Mom’s in town
Waiter was exceptionally rude and unprofessional. He didn’t check on me until it was time to collect my money. I waited 10 minutes for parmigiana and the pizza was cold. Will never return
Chicken was chewy for chicken parmigiana . Chicken Marsala came on the bone and dark meat and it is not stated on menu. Asked for pasta with out Parmesan cheese on top but she brought out pasta that had the cheese mixed in. Waitress did not listen. Sent it back. She did not even ask if wanted to order anything else. Left without eating.
Our server, a young blonde woman, was incredible!!
Good basic Italian fare, generous portions and relaxing ambiance!
Lovely, accommodating, friendly staff. Delicious wine choices. Before 6 pm half off price on pizza & some very good wines.
Roasted garlic / balsamic with bread. Amazingly good!
Penne with chicken and a cream red sauce. Fantastic flavor!
We loved! Just expecting a little more portion-wise for the chicken entrees. Otherwise fantastic food, service, and ambiance!
Good food and good service! The ambiance is nice. Good for business meals.
Food was absolutely delicious! Flavors were incredible and we loved it everything we had. Wish we were seated in here main dining room rather than the bar area as we had a reservation but that is really my only issue.
Absolutely loved it!
Amazing across the board! Happily planning private events through their wonderful events coordinator, Allison.
Service and food were spectacular. If dining here, DEFINITELY try their vanilla gelato--it is simply sublime!
Friendly and Fun experience in Chicago's River North
Wonderful meal! The Heirloom tomato menu was outstanding and the service was great! What a great night!
The food was fantastic. Best Caprese salad I ever had! We sat outdoors which was lovely but traffic was extremely loud. We inside was cozy, but the weather was nice so we sat out.
This is my new Italian Spot! Excellent Food! RPM Italian has lost its place in my rotation.
The chicken scaloppine was not thin slices as advertised but an overcooked piece of chicken that was slightly burned. Salads were fine and there was a good wine list.Gelato was excellent.
Great service and the panzanella salad is back and worth the trip just for that.
My daughter, husband and I truly enjoyed our dining experience as usual. Wonderful food, great service, all the time! We feel at home whenever we come here! Thank you very much!
The restaurant was cute. Great location and not too busy for a Saturday night (we had to push our reservation back 45 mins and they easily accommodated). The service was good but the food took forever to come out. However, the server DID explain that they often have food staggered because they have two kitchens and certain plates were prepared differently. The food was ok but I would say it's a must-have for a Chicago visit.
Appetizers of calamari and ciabatta were excellent. Main course of cavatelli Parmesan sauce was bland, penne with chicken in tomato sauce was dry but flavor was okay. There was a large party on the opposite side of the patio that might have effected slow service and food quality. Date of dinner was August 28, 2021.
Great service and food! The outdoor patio had the perfect ambience for a night out.
Waitress was fantastic
Place is great, a little packed, but having only one bathroom with only one toilet is weird.
Recommend dining inside, outdoor patio is not really worth the experience. Pizzas are wonderful, prepared perfectly, lovely salads.
An excellent evening, service pleasantly surprised and enjoyed our date night.
The food and service were delicious. Definitely a go to spot
