Food was excellent our favourite was the carne cruda. Relaxing atmosphere and great service.

The hype did not warrant the experience. Very disappointed in both the service , which was condescending, and the food which was far from exceptional. We had the prosciutto followed by the ravolet and stopped. The meat portions looked enormous, more for 4 or 6 people rather than 2. We don’t all travel in a pack!

Osteria Savio Volpe has earned its reputation as one of Canada's top restaurants! The homemade pasta was exquisite, but the service gets even higher marks. The staff were attentive and engaging without ever being intrusive. Their genuine enthusiasm inspired me to try several things I normally wouldn't, mostly with great success!

Had been trying to go for a long time and eventually went at 515pm on a weekday to celebrate a 50th birthday and the food was so darn good! We had a ton of fun too. Highly recommend the place despite that you have to book weeks/months ahead.

Have been to Savio Volpe twice now. Each time has been amazing. The wait staff work as a team to ensure all of your needs are met. The food is outstanding! Prices are on the higher end but both times we had enough leftovers for another meal. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Everything was beyond our expectations! The food was amazing (we did the tasting menue) which allowed you to try various dishes. The steak and stuffed ravioli was delicious. We both agreed the tasting menu was a great deal. Our server was attentive, funny and went above and beyond. A Birthday card was already sitting on the table when we arrived which I thought was a sweet touch plus they snuck an extra dessert on the table which we appreciated! We can’t wait to come back from Calgary and try this place again. We will defiantly be recommending this place to all our friends and family in Vancouver.

This is our go to place for ourselves, and for guests from out of town, normally I would give a 5 star, however service was a little disappointing. Our server was too rushed, we started getting food even prior to our wine and drinks orders... that’s a faux pas...also server would drop food, quickly rattle off what it was and we sat there looking at each other like “ what did she say “ also failed to tell chef one guest at our table was a Celiac and dropped off 2 pastas for
Our table, we ordered family style, and brought nothing for our friend with Celiac. I called over another server who quickly remedied that. This is one of our favourite restaurants, however this time service was diasapointing.

We enjoyed a beautiful meal with great service in celebration of a couple birthdays! It was a family style meal where we allowed our server and the chef to choose our meal for the evening. We had a wonderful time and the casual ambience was unexpected. We would definitely go again!

Went out for dinner with friends, total of four on a Monday evening, and the place was busy. The staff are attentive, and service oriented. We were celebrating a birthday, and we were well taken care of. The featured salad was refreshing, the pastas were light, and flavourful. The featured prime rib was nothing special, and the cauliflower side was on the spicy side, but the outstanding dishes for me were the salads and pastas. The dishes aren't that pretty to look at, and a little on the smaller side, especially considering dining is family style. We enjoyed dinner, and would definitely come back, it is hard to get reservations at 6:00 pm though, must book well in advance.

Wonderful food, wine and service. A great way to celebrate our anniversary. And a generous greeting with the Prosecco from the restaurant... as a gift.. to begin.

Our server was amazing. Friendly, casual, knowledgeable...just like the restaurant. There's obviously a culture that supports the staff and the vision of the chef.

The only drawback is the noise. . At 5, it was fine,...it's always terrific to have a restaurant where it feels active, festive and urban...but by 7 it was so loud that is was overwhelming and hard to hear your partner across the table.

That said... we'll definitely be back

We were blown away by everything at this restaurant the food, the atmosphere, the service is outstanding! Rarely do you get all three of these elements in one place. Every item we ordered was amazing, flavorful and filling. This was our first time and we will back for more! They made my husbands birthday special and he was impressed!

Noisy and loud Hipster crowd and foodie lovers. Food is wonderful Italian preparations. Waitress was knowledgeable and very helpful. Not 4 star service, more like casual eatery. Prices are expensive.

I requested to go to this place to celebrate my birthday. I had pasta back in Italy and I have been looking for an Italian restaurant with good pasta in Vancouver for a long time. Ordered 2 pastas and both were very tasty. Garlic bread, Kale salad, Tortelli, Orecchiette, Cannoli for dessert, a beer and 4 Americano and it was just $35 per person with tips. It wasn't pricey at all as some as comment. Ambiance was a bit noisy but acceptable. Service was excellent. I will definitely return. Remember to make reservations, it's a very busy restaurant.

We arrived a few minutes early and were promptly seated. The servers were nice but don't appear to be very knowledgeable about the menu and were not able to make proper recommendations leaving us deeply disappointed with the experience. We ordered tagliatelle, spring salmon, chicoria and dry aged top sirloin. We also tried ordering the fried zucchini flowers but they were all out.

When we tried ordering one main dish for each person, the server made a comment that made it appear that it was too much for the table. Our food came one by one with large waiting times in between. First came the pasta which we found to be quite a small portion. Next the dry aged top sirloin which, by itself was good, but doesn't come with any kind of side dish or carbohydrate. The server should have recommended that we order a garlic bread or something else. It was also medium rare - which we like - but any proper restaurant should ask how the customer wants it cooked or at least inform them how it's cooked. Next came the salmon which we had to return because it was still raw in the middle. There were no apologies, only an explanation that that's how they cooked it. Again, they should mention or ask. Not wanting to waste the night, we ordered all the desserts which is what's best on their menu for the price.

We had a meal designed just for us - a la familia - and it was worth every penny! There are quite a few foods that, between the 4 in our group, we don't eat. Savio Volpe made it easy for us to enjoy every course, and did we ever get bang for the buck! Excellent value. 2 plates served for each of four courses, plus some sides with our mains, and the dishes ranged from very good to outstanding. Mariah was our main contact/hostess - her attentive care made the evening exceptional. We found the restaurant rather noisy, which can make for a great vibe - we prefer dining in a quieter atmosphere, but we'd return in a heartbeat despite the din. Absolutely worth it!

First, let me start with a comment that the food here is outstanding and I should stay it is fairly priced compared to other options in Vancouver. The pasta is simply amazing, and the interior decor is very inviting. The ambiance is a bit on the louder side and is definitely not a place for you to spend more than 2 hours with friends / families. I was here with two other friends and truly enjoyed the food. The only negative thing I experienced is the service. There were two girls at the front desk when I arrived and they simply look uninterested to help you. It was not a great experience. The server for our table is also not interested in helping, she brushed over the special features and didn't provide a service level expected from place that produces such great food. Overall, I'd still recommend to visit here for the food, though I wish the service is better.

Service was wonderful and attentive. We ordered the chef’s menu which was good but a bit too spaced. From 5:30 when they took our order to 20 to 8 when we rushed out to try to catch a 8 o’clock play leaving a mostly uneaten dessert behind, the pacing was off. Food was plentiful and mostly good. Could have done without kale salad and did not have much of an opportunity to try the desserts. The price for the chef’s table was very reasonable.

Always love the food. Our server was good and knowledgeable. Felt slightly rushed a few times (even though we dined in 1.25 hours). He motioned to take our appetizer plate before it was done so I shoveled the last few bits in while he stood there. I figured he was only doing it because our mains must have been on the way. Yet, we still waited 15 minutes for our mains after being rushed. We sat at the counter which I love as you can watch some prep and drinks being prepared. However on this particular evening it seemed one of the bartenders was very flustered... bumping into me twice as she passed me. Neither of these service flaws would stop me from recommending this restaurant as the food is always amazing and the service tends to be exceptional. However, when you typically offer exceptional service, flaws like this stand out much more.

Food and service Outstanding but nearly lost my hearing because the acoustics in the restaurant had no ceiling sound baffles whatsoever which would to help increase speech intelligibility and music clarity. Instead we spent the whole dinner shouting across to each other repeatedly 'What? Could you repeat that?!" You get the idea...
If I go back, I will bring my ear plugs and hopefully by then, have learned how to read lips & sign language...
