Made reservations well in advance of Mothers Day for four people for a high top. We arrived about 10 mins early and were told the table we reserved wasn’t available. What is the point of making a reservation if they don’t honor it? We were seated at a very uncomfortable table, as we are taller and kept bumping our knees on the tables extension tabs which we took the liberty of opening to make it more comfortable for ourselves. After being seated, we ordered drinks then noticed one of the parties seated at one of the high tops left. Not sure why we weren’t allowed to be seated there. Seems the hostess needs some additional training. Our waiter was attentive and the food although slow to come out was delicious. We do enjoy the food here but from now on will avoid dining here on busier days as it made our dining experience less enjoyable.

If only there were more stars I could rate the food! I think everyone at the table loved their meals. From the veal chop, to the fish , the pasta, and let's not forget about the crab cake starter. We had to wait a few minutes for our reservation but well worth the wait. If you have never been here, what are you waiting for? If you have, I know you are going back just like me.

Our server, Daniel, was outstanding. He has served us before and always provides helpful insights on specials. The Scallop Boat was excellent as usual

Though I live in the Northwest Suburbs, Osteria Ottimo is my restaurant of choice whenever I'm in the area. I’ve always had great food and service. Last night, I had their grilled Spanish octopus and asparagus, with crispy potatoes and pimentón aioli. It was the best octopus I've ever had. Their pasta portions are large and can be shared by two or three! Their pizzas are great, especially the wild mushroom pizza. They’re kid-friendly and have gluten-free options. Great value!
