We are closest to the Springfield Metro Station (Blue line). There is a shuttle that runs between the metro station and Metro Park (our development), Monday through Friday, every 15 minutes. The closest bus stop to the restaurant is the one in front of the "6363 building," on Walker lane.

The food was fantastic as always, but the service was lacking a bit. OM has been my go-to for Italian for the past two years and I've been there 10+ times usually with a party of 5 or more. This time was for my girlfriends 30th birthday, which I noted in two different places on the reservation. She is also part of OM's mailing list and she received an email for a free birthday dessert.
Sadly there was no mention of the occasion by the hostess or our server until our party mentioned it, and even then no Happy Birthday. After our meal she mentioned the free dessert email and showed the waiter, but we were told he'd have to check because the email wasn't printed. Ultimately the offer was honored, but its disappointing that it was even a slight issue.
We still love OM and will be back soon. The food is amazing and we highly recommend it. This was just an opportunity to comment on how service could be improved in the future, especially for patrons who are celebrating a special event.
I have been to Osteria Marzano many times, and just Love it! But the little things they do it's what sets them apart it apart. The last time I was there, I called ahead because my husband is in an orthopedic boot. They were very accommodating, and that made all the difference.
Place looked nice. They had a DJ playing music too loud. Nobody dancing so not sure what the point was. Caprese salad was very nice. Pizza was ok, not Neapolitan and certainly not as appetizing as pictured. Service was ok to start, but server kind of disappeared later on. Paid cash as I didn’t want to wait another 15 minutes for him to return with card.
We were there with a friend who had to carbo load for the Marine Corps Marathon. In solidarity we all had pasta. They were four of us altogether. And we all raved about the pasta! From the spinach stuffed ravioli with walnut sauce to the macaroni and cheese with candied bacon, all got rave reviews. Can’t wait to go back and try something other than pasta. I’m sure it’s fabulous.
Nice selection of wine by glass, including Nebbiolo and Sangiovese blend. Delicious house salad. Even the small can be shared. Also enjoyed Orato fish and Snapper/spinach ravioli. A bit pricey for the location in the middle of no where . Will return if in area.
My wife and I eat here periodically. Most of the time when we have guests from out of town staying in Northern Virginia we recommend meeting to have lunch or dinner here. We have never had a negative experience. We are picky eaters normally in restaurants; at Marzano's we eat with gusto because we know the food is of high quality (onsite made noodles) and is prepared imaginatively and well. As of the meal we had with friends for this review, one of our guests said that the meatball in the spaghetti and meatball dish was the best he has ever eaten in his life (he is 74). Another guest of ours now makes it his default location for business lunches after taking him there.
One or our favorites for a special night out -- all the better that it is relatively close! Had a delightful server who assisted with the extensive menu. Delicious dinner! Great house-made pasta! Fish another special favorite. Delicious salads...didn't make it as far as dessert.
We were two couples. Had Milos as our server - he was fabulous! Wonderful sense of humor and terrific service. Food was very good. My eggplant could have been a little warmer, but very tasty. They ran out of the seafood special for our one friend but came up with a substitute that he loved.
Only negative was the noise level. Not sure what can be done, but they need something to absorb the sound.
A lovely gem tucked away in a business park--who knew! The service was great and food really delicious. We both started with salads then shared the burrata special followed by pasta. I was impressed with how much our server knew about the wine list. We will be back!
Restaurant Week dinner was excellent. Pesto served with focaccia was good, made from parsley instead of basil? The farro salad with baby kale, candied walnuts, crumbled Gorgonzola, golden raisins, finely chopped tomatoes and cucumber and vinaigrette was delicious, as was the entrée of boneless beef short ribs with red wine sauce, fine polenta and topped with fried onion rings that were well-drained and not greasy. The tiramisu was nicely spiked and worthy of its name. Don't know if MSG was used in the entrée's sauce, but I was thirsty, etc. after the lovely meal.
This was not our first trip to Marzano's. In the past the food has been very good, but the experience even better. The service tends to be excellent. This time the food was the best ever. I still think the fresh pasta and various primi courses are slightly better than the entrees, but it's a quibble. All are first rate.
Enjoyed a wonderful meal. She had "the most tender short ribs" she has ever tasted. I had a marvelous piece of moist and tender salmon with luscious fingerling spuds. We had a terrific bottle of Lock and Key Meritage to enhance our meal. Desert as usual was great. We will gladly return for another evening out on the town. Kudos to all involved with our evening.
This was my third visit -- once for lunch and twice for dinner. I had the tonno -- tuna with a vegetable risotto. The tuna was done rare, as I like, and the risotto was absolutely Delicious. My date had one of the raviolis and I think he was very pleased as well. There was no rush and we stayed chatting for nearly 4 hours, closing the place down.
My husband and I love Osteria Marzano, and we just celebrated our anniversary there. I highly recommend this place for a great Italian meal! The chef really takes thought into the ingredients of each meal and you can tell because each one is absolutely delicious!
First visit to this restaurant at 5pm on a Saturday night. The bar was busy but not the dining area. The first thing I noticed in being walked to our table was a sticky floor. We asked to be seated nearer the window rather than the row of seats behind the bar. They were accommodating. There were only one other pair of diners and a private party in a separate room. Everyone else was at the bar.
We had a three course meal - the meatball appetizer was terrific. My husband ordered a cheese ravioli in a cream sauce and I had the chicken piccata with green beans and side of spaghetti. His meal was quite good and my chicken was also good with a flavorful sauce. The green beans were very crunchy - too al dente for my taste. It was a generous portion so I ended up taking half the chicken and the GB home. We ordered the creme brûlée for dessert. I think it may have been the best creme brûlée I have ever had. It tasted very fresh with a wonderful vanilla flavor.
The restaurant is rather small and I can imagine it would get loud at busy times. The service was friendly and efficient. My husband ordered a mixed drink and also a Grand Marnier with dessert. The total check was $78 including tax but before tip.
I would definitely return. They have a pizza oven and we saw a steady stream of pizzas being served. They also have what looks like a great Sunday brunch menu.
Parking is free and plentiful as they are in an office park.
Ok the setup in a corporate park is not the ideal unless you like free parking with a thousand spaces like I do. Food was great, service was just right, and the prices were more than fair. I had the asparagus with poached egg, veal, and the desserts (afogato and mousse) were delicious.
