Osteria Marzano

They have instituted a $20 pp cancellation fee of the cancellation occurs less than 24 hours from the reservation time. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel 4 hours before my reservation. I was informed i would be charged $80 for the cancellation. I wound up going so as to not be charged the $80. When I got there the restaurant was empty except for 1 table!

In addition, there was a 22% tip automatically added to the bill that I happened to catch prior to adding my usual 20%.

And they added a $3.00 “PPE fee” as well.

It’s going to be a long time if ever before I return.

The food was reasonably good, but not great. They forgot one of my desserts to take home. The chocolate cake was okay...kind of tasteless. Pasta a little over cooked.

The drinks were fabulous though.

We really enjoyed the social distancing and safety Osteria Marzano had available with the outdoor seating. I do feel like now is a good time to ensure you are spending more than usual on food and service to show your appreciation. The food was good as per usual, but the service was extraordinary.

Our first dining experience inside the "bubble"! Totally awesome - 4 of us enjoyed our dinners comfortably (Space heater!) and wait staff was very professional, courteous and attentive (especially when opening and closing the bubble!). Thanks Osteria for taking these steps during our pandemic. Finally - as always - food was Fantastic!!

We ate outdoors in a heated dome. It was very comfortable and the service was excellent.

The outdoor bubbles are wonderful, warm, and disinfected after each party. They keep everyone safer from COVID while providing good ambiance and noise reduction. The staff have always been on top of things, bringing more bread and checking up on refills. I’ve been there a few times both recently and before COVID and they’re handling things well. Everyone we’ve brought has enjoyed all the food ordered, apps, entrees, drinks and desserts. Highly recommend reserving the bubble in advance and enjoying a great meal here!

I'm writing this review about the fees:
If you have an issue with it, talk to a manager or your server. I agree that the fees aren't publicized as much as they could be, but our check stated very plainly that you can let them know that you would like that fee removed; if you feel so strongly about it that you're willing to write a scathing review about how you're "never going back," I invite you to take a look around at the sparse staff they're able to keep employed (and also convince to work during a pandemic) as they try to stay open, and to think of all of the restrictions that have been put on restaurants in this time.
Food was good, service was great. They addressed our Anniversary and hit all the marks you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber

We ate in an igloo. The only complaint we have is when making the reservation on open table there was no mention of the fee. They also charged a ppe fee that was also not mentioned. In these difficult times, we recognize costs are higher for businesses but it would be good to know in advance we basically had to pay 30 percent on top of the food. The food was very good. We will be back but not in an igloo.

The service and restaurant were great. However, the food was so bland and nothing had flavor it was definitely not worth my $150 bill. Won’t be returning here.

We were excited to be dining outdoors in a globe and the experience and the food were fine overall. A few things though: we waited about 10 minutes to be seated after our reservation time because they were heating up our globe. Then we waited another 15 minutes for our server to arrive and greet us with water. The rest of dinner was fine—service was spot on and the food was good. I do wish that we were informed about the 4% PPE fee and the 25% global dining service charge ahead of time. I’m happy to pay it as I know our restaurants are struggling. But I think patrons should be informed before the check arrives. I don’t recall reading about this when making the reservation or in the confirmation.

We had a beautiful evening. Caroline was our server and she did a superb job. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the ambience. Eating in the globe was so special. It made the evening feel very festive. The spaghetti neri was ecxcellent with a lot of lobster. My friends enjoyed the veal piccata, ravioli, and the amatricina. We also had the bruschetta which was so delicious. We will be back.

Excellent service and delicious food. Superb service, everything was outstanding. We were lucky to get one of the winter globes, it provided plenty of heat. The globes are cleaned and disinfected between guest. The ambience was terrific, we will definitely be going back. There is plenty of parking. Highly recommend this hidden gem.

The 3-4% "COVID-19" Fee annoyed us so much, we have considered not going back. One of the reasons we eat out so much is to support our local restaurants during the pandemic. And, you try to stick us with this BS fee? Says a lot about this place! We love you guys, but try to slip us this again and we're done.

The pesto was beyond oily . They don’t salt their pasta water/potato water. Globes were not as advertised.

I loved it there! It was a little on the pricier side (little higher than Olive Garden) and they have PPE charge (can opt. out of this) but overall worth it! The food was great and the portion was just right. The little bubbles are heated so it isn't as cold. It was a perfect time.

While the food was excellent and the service also was very good, the room itself was very noisy. I never found it to be so when we were seated outside near the bar.

Every year we go to Osteria Marzano for Feast of the 7 Fishes. The food did not disappoint. The service was very slow between courses. We were asked to be seated away from others due to COVID, but were still seated next to a large party of people who were definitely not all from the same household. Our reservation had to be moved inside due to the rain, so it definitely seemed the restaurant was pushing the limit of the 50% occupancy on this particular night. We love and support this restaurant, but this was not one of our better visits.

The service was extremely slow and no one explained why or offered an apology. We waited nearly an hour to eat. They brought us some bread but it was very cold. Also they put us in a small room and filled it with lots of people. It made us all very uncomfortable in light of Covid. The food was good but by the time we got it we were starving so maybe that’s why.

The Feast of The Seven Fishes was fabulous.

Our server, Jennifer, was amazing. The food and wine were excellent. We can’t wait to return.

We waited 15 minutes to get seated in one of the globes despite having a reservation. once seated the service was not bad and globe remained warm in 40 degrees with a heater. We had a nice dinner but was surprised by the added 4% for the PPE and 25% required tip and we had a party of 3. Not that we are against supporting the restaurant but they could've told us when we were making a reservation about the mandatory extra charges!

We really enjoyed going there, I had one little problwm. We also went there for my husband's birthday and at that time thete wasnt a 25% charge for eating in the igloo. I was disappointed in that

The outside dining in the bubble is amazing and the service is still phenomenal!

It was our first visit. Interested primarily in safety, we were very satisfied with the outdoor heated igloo we had at an early dinner/late lunch. Seemed very safe and well thought through. Happy hour drinks were great. Food was quite good. Portions more than enough. We'll definitely come again.
