As usual, a Delicious Friday Date Night Din-Din! Elegant and perfectly prepared Prime Burger. Aioli with the Fish and Chips was bang-on garlicky good. Garlic Spinach side excellent.
Fantastic dinner with friends.
This is the first resteraunt in the DC area we have found that serves authentic Italian cuisine. We lived in Italy for almost 3 years and miss the amazing food, this was the first resteraunt which did not disappoint, the polipo alla brace was very well prepared.
Good dinner, but very loud
We always enjoy this out of the way spot since it has reliably good food...not to mention free parking!
A bit more reasonable cost and we'd come more often.
The waitstaff is very professional and polite, always checking in for status and delivering food promptly. The food itself is fantastic and rivals many downtown DC restaurants. It’s fresh and always steaming hot, the bucatini unbeatable.
Had a very nice dinner experience. Good wine and great food.
We had an excellent dinner! We like to go out on Fri the 13th since we were married on a Fri the 13th. I probably should have asked to move but were seated inside by the bar and TVs versus the window view. Food was excellent!!
We were seated next to a group of seven very loud and shrill people who completed ruined the evening. The acoustics (low ceiling) didn't help the matter. The hostess needs to be better attuned to who's seated where.
I visited OM because they were hosting an Italian Grand Prix Viewing Party like they do every year. The turn out this year was fantastic! The front of the restaurant was adorned with some beautiful Italian cars. Inside, there was excitement in the air as we were all ready to cheer on Scuderia Ferrari and Alfa Romeo to victory. But, the best part was the delicious Italian buffet that was served. I never miss an opportunity to visit Osteria Marzano!
We went Osteria Marzano recently for a family birthday. The food was excellent, well served, and our waiter was pleasant and attentive. We had an appetizer (one salad, one soup), and drinks. Dinner was excellent: short rib and noodles, served piping hot, and very tasty. The serving is quite large, and we enjoyed it a second night. The lasagna was also excellent.
It looked like quite a few professionals from the local business park area were at the bar for a Friday evening drink -- the main area was quite noisy
We asked for q quiet table and were offered a table in the "quiet" room; it was quieter, unfortunately the table next to us was not. We listened to their conversation until their meals arrived -- then it was quiet...
There is also seating outside. It was a very pleasant night, and would probably have been quieter outside.
Bottom line: this is an excellent restaurant good, for a special evening or just a night out. We've been her over a period of several years and found the food and service consistently excellent. But it can be noisy.
I fear they have lost their "mojo". They used to deliver exceptional service and food. Our recent visits have been good but not great. So while we will go back, and would suggest to a friend, it is with proper expectations of a good not great experience. They may be suffering from staff turnover as I did not recognize anyone working there and I used to know most of the staff. Tough business for sure.
This restaurant that we used to absolutely love and work hard to get a reservation in has become a cheap type of restaurant/club with a terrible DJ and really inadequate service. So sad.
We aren't regulars but we go to Marzano frequently. This was not our best visit. Service was great. Our serverwas attentive and nice.Went during happy hour so expected some noise. Happy hr appetizers were good but the caprese salad i had was not good. The tomatoes were mealy and the cheese was old. My wife's salad was average and a small portion size, definitely expected more for the price we paid. The general menu is getting old, a bit tired and expensive. Marzano used to be good food at a good price. Now its average food at
Inflated costs. Likely won't be returning.
Quiet place for weekday lunch. Polite, friendly staff.
The service was exceptional. We were greeted with welcoming host and hostesses. Our waitress was attentive and busying serving all the customers.
The food was delicious and very enjoyable.
One of the best Italian restaurants in the DMV!!
The food and service were excellent as usual, not as noisy as our last visit. But; this is not the place to come to if you want a quiet dinner experience.
Our server was great but it took sooooooooo long for our main to come out. Ordered short ribs and sea bass. Everything was good. The server and management were excellent. They let us sit in a private room, otherwise it was extremely loud there.
Excellent as always. The food was superb and we all appreciated that the waitress made sure to ask if anyone had any food allergies.
The windows in the dining room were VERY dirty. The music was pumped into the dining room too loudly. Food was good, but overpriced. Doubt we’ll be coming back.
The food was delicious but could have been seasoned a little better to add more flavor. I went during restaurant week so I could have a three course meal for $22. The value for it was great. I had a salad for the first course, chicken Parmesan for the second, and cannolis for the third. The service and value was excellent. Will definitely come back again.
The restaurant was a little hard to find, but once we got there the venue was gorgeous! The food however wasn't exactly seasoned how we were expecting. The appetizers were good, but service was extremely slow even though the restaurant wasn't crowded.
Delicious appetizers, pasta, and dessert. We went for restaurant week, and are happy we did.
We have been to Osteria Marzano several times. Good service and food.
Something has changed at Marzano's. Disappointing day.We went for restaurant week. The food was great but the service was lacking. Seated immediately but then the slowdown. Our server eventually arrived. The salad and her soup came fairly quickly. Then we waited over 20 minutes for the entrees. About a 5 minute wiat for dessert. And another wait for the check even though I had previously requested the check. We are discussing if and when we will return.
Exceptional dining, attentive staff, comfortable surroundings.
Delicious per usual—our favorite neighborhood
The atmosphere is nice, contemporary but it’s a loud atmosphere. Food was fantastic , service was par at best. We ended up clearing our own plates after the appetizers were done and we had to constantly ask for refills on drinks. Our server was not very attentive. Maybe it was because they had already put a 20% gratuity on our bill for a party of6. I would return for the quality of the food which was delicious.
We were a group of 4. Two of us had the fish&chips special and one the braziney special and another fish dish. The food was well presented, plentiful and delicious. We also had salads and the small ones are great for two to share.
We’ve been coming here for. Any years and one complaint is the loud bar area which is in the middle, you may get lucky and sit in the back room. Also the service can be slow and clean up not always great as they left most of the dirty utansils in the table.
Great place to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries.
It was our Anniversary—Marzano spoiled us !!!!
Terrific evening ! 😍😍
Lovely evening. We love the Sunday wine discount.
Hidden gem in an office complex in Springfield. The food here is every bit as good as in Italy. We had the lamb ragout pappardelle and pizza, both of which were fantastic. We've been once before, and it was also excellent. That time, I ordered the branzino. Can't wait to go back!
It was just ok. I was expecting great, but have had better, especially for the price. My linguini and clams was ok, but not great. The cream brûlée seemed pre-made and right out of a refrigerator. In any case, I didn’t leave with feeling “I gotta go back here,” and probably won’t.
We were seated in the enclosed dining room. The glass wall and doors were filthy. I felt like I was in a construction site where they had finished the work, but not cleaned the windows. It was distracting from the moment we sat down and unfortunately set the mood for the restaurant.
Food and service excellent—
Enjoyed a fun evening !
Food is delicious with authentic Italian cooking. Service is outstanding. Will I return? Absolutely!
Terrific as usual—our favorite neighborhood restaurant !
Excellent service and excellent food. The chef came to our table to toss the homemade spaghetti in the Grana Pandano cheese wheel. Amazing dish. Both couples in our group shared an entree and they graciously split the servings for us. Waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive. We ordered wine by the bottle and never had to pour a drop. Our waitress was on it! Highly recommend for wonderful Italian dining experience.
