The mushroom quiche was the best thing ever!
Fabulous! The Plin are delicious! They burst with flavor and texture in your mouth. The panacotta was the perfect comfort dessert.
Fantastic experience. Friendly staff, great vibe, superb food , great wine choices. A unique place. Great for foodies.
A lovely neighborhood spot - small and intimate, though a bit noisy. But it gives off a nice, friendly vibe. All three of our dishes were well prepared, properly proportioned, i.e. not too big, and beautifully presented. I told the front of the house that we would like a birthday dessert for one in our party, and asked that it be added to the bill. The luscious donuts with creme anglais and raspberries was a real treat, and comped by the restaurant. What a nice gesture.
Delicious food. Great service. Authentic neighborhood gem.
Amazing meal from start to finish. Highly recommend ordering lots off the menu to share with a group. Some of the highlights include braised octopus, plin, spaghetti with ragu, beef Wellington, and the rabbit.
Everything was great as usual’
First time here. Great service and unique food.
Favorite restaurant in Chicago, easy. Great food, great drink, great people.
We had a few minor misses on the food but overall was still delicious as always. Osteria Langhe remains one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Chicago.
Amazing food and service. We've been several times and it's always just as good as the last.
The portions were appallingly small. Waitress should have pointed that out when we sat down and/or were ordering.
The food is delicious, and Aldo (the owner) is a great host. Highly recommended!
Excellent food, service, cocktails. I was intrigued by the vermouth flights, might have to check that out next time
No one does Northern Italian better!
I love the staff here. Everyone is so nice and they are all very attentive without being obnoxiously in your face! The food is excellent and the intimate setting is perfect for catching up with a friend or a date-night.
Fantastic food and wonderful service. We went for my husband's birthday and had an amazing dinner! The plin is not to be skipped!
This restaurant was my daughter's choice for her 30th birthday dinner with family and friends. Everything was wonderful. The food and service were excellent. My only negative comments was that it was a cold evening in February and I was a bit chilly as our table was near the door. My other comment was that there were not any salads on the menu that were leafy greens (lettuce, spinach, etc). While I recognize that this may be consistent with Northern Italian cuisine in the winter, I do wish there were some leafy greens available. The other dishes (pasta, steak, chicken, antipasti) were all wonderful. Thank you.
Best Italian food ever! All the misconceptions I had about Italian food has changed for me after having dinner at Osteria two days ago. The portion size and the taste were both perfect. Vegetarian options were few but they were awesome! I can only imagine how good the meat dishes are! Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for quality food! The occasion doesn’t matter just visit and have a good time!
My personal favorites were the salad with butternut squash if I remember correctly, crepe dish with oats and sauce and salmon dish with sunchokes and Brussel sprouts.
We love Osteria Langhe! The food is fantastic and the plin is hands down one of the best dishes in Chicago. We have always experienced great service, and we enjoyed the cocktail menu. Could not recommend this place more.
Top quality food, service, presentation. Staff knows how to take care of patrons. Well managed, thank you.
Food portion too small and too expensive. Needs to be downtown with more fancier bigger space to charge those prices.
The Plin was a melt in your mouth pasta! I do believe them when they told us that people have said the dish is Italy was not as good. The dishes were all excellent and good Piedmont wine selection - all from Italy. I wished we had not been rushed in the end to get to another function. It was good to savor the food and atmosphere. A bit cold facing the window in front though.
We ate here in the past and LOVED IT.
They sprung a prix fixe menu on us this time. Meal was MUCH more than we expected to pay. Disappointed
This place never disappoints! Make sure to get the plin!
I come here often. This place is exceptional. One Plin per guest is a good rule of thumb.
This place was a revelation! The octopus was delish, the buttered ravioli finger-licking good and the rabbit and roast pork loin were mouth watering. You won’t be disappointed!
Excellent service and a delicious meal! Seared scallops, grilled octopus and homemade pastas were the highlights for us.
Food is very good and although pricey the quality matches the price. Only critique is that the panna cotta dessert was too sweet. Otherwise, a great place and well worth going to.
The restaurant is a fantastic little Italian restaurant. Everything was fresh and felt like you were in a Taverna in Italy. The owner comes by and personally checks with each table that they are more than satisfied with their meal. Love it, will definitely go back
It was a good night. Service was attentive, not super friendly but no real complaints. Food was very good. Octopus, prim, and desserts were delicious. Risotto was good but for $34 it should be outstanding. Lively atmosphere and great wine list for people who know wine. We needed some help because most wines were ones we aren’t familiar with. Eat here, drink here. It was good.
Great experience! Second time and it was just as good as the first! Next time I’m ordering 2 Plin!!!
Food and wine were very good. Service was very friendly but
Everything we ordered was delicious. I can’t wait to go back.
Best ragu in chicago.
Fantastic experience top to bottom — and delivered during the polar vortex. Eager to return! Thank you!
I went there during restaurant week for my birthday. The staff were absolutely lovely. I recently sprained my ankle, and they were so helpful and accommodating. And most importantly the food was fantastic and very authentic. Don't go without getting the Plin (hand-pinched ravioli)--it is melt in your mouth delicious! Also a great wine and cocktail list with happy hour during the week.
Clue was very accommodating. We had to downsize our reservation and change the time at the last minute but they were able to seat us though it seemed to be a busy evening. My daughter, on whose recommendation we chose Clue, had told us that the gnocchi was exceptional. It was. My first experience with gnocchi was in Italy years ago and it blew me away. Since then nothing had ever come close till last night. Encountering truly good gnocchi is as if you are putting a miniature pillow in your mouth which when you smash it against your palate tastes of potato and the sauce it was sautéed in. The seasonal sauce which was a butter, squash and mushroom was also amazing. It’s that combination of mouth feel and taste that need to be there. I’m pretty sure it’s only accomplished when the gnocchi are freshly made. The other dishes we ordered, the radicchio salad, the duck confit and the miniature donuts were prepared with care and flare. The wine list was extensive and the service very friendly and attentive despite the busy evening. When we visit NY again we’ll definitely revisit Clue.
This place was a complete rip off. I enjoy shared plates but you get close to nothing on each one. For two people we ordered three dishes, two main dishes, and dessert and had to go get food after because when you order scallops, you get two. When you order tortellini you get five pieces. After a $180 bill, to be fair $54 was for a bottle of wine, we went out to get food two hours later.
Overall the food was fine but nothing really made me raise my eye brows in delight. My seat was freezing and I had to sit on my coat to keep warm. You can spend this amount of money at many other places and get a better and more filling meal.
Food is fantastic and portions were good. Definitely a popular place.
