Osteria Italian Restaurant
Chef Coucho knows what he is doing; great experience
Food is always great. Ambience nice but too many tables near kitchen, bar and front door. Noise level a bit much for those with hearing loss. Would still recommend and always enjoy my meal.
Our waitress was pleasant, but when she took our orders, she did not tell us about any of the specials. After we ordered, we heard her explaining them to another table and asked her to tell us about them. My wife asked if she could change her order, and, after checking with the kitchen, we were told she could. I stayed with my choice. When our dinners were served, my wife received her order, but I was served her canceled order, not what I had requested. So, the waitress took back both meals until my correct meal could be prepared. When she brought out our plates, mine was fresh and hot, but my wife's was lukewarm, having sat in the kitchen while my meal was prepared. The food was disappointing compared to other times we've been at the restaurant.
If you are looking for outstanding Tuscan-style cuisine, Osteria is always a home-run! The pork dishes are especially succulent, and the mushroom ravioli is unbelievable. Make sure to check out their little Italian pastry and coffee shop, Dolce Amoro, a few doors down afterward to top off the evening!
Food was fresh and expertly prepared, wait staff was very attentive and the food was delicious!
A good value for the money. Excellent menu . Food delicious. A little disappointed in the Tiramisu. I seemed not up to the standard of the main course. It seemed a bit dried out and tasted a little stale.
Absolutely excellent service and food! Our server Jan did a great job. We will be back.
Excellent lobster risotto and gnocchi! Never disappoints!
Great neighborhood gem : Diamond I'm the rough ..
Don't let the exterior fool you
our waitres was pleasant, timely and worked with me in gluten free requirements
The house made fresh pasta was absolutely amazing. Dustin our server was remarkable. He perfectly paired our wines with our dishes. The entire experience was absolutely outstanding.
Using OpenTable, I requested a table for two and asked that we have a quiet area. When we arrived we were seated at a tiny table against the wall in a large room that had a very large group of people eating together. The table was cramped and the crowd was noisy. We asked to be seated elsewhere but were told there were no other Tables. Since I had asked particularly for a quiet area I was surprised at their choice of tables. We left without eating. The waiter seemed unconcerned. It felt quite unfriendly.
The food was sensational; compliments to the chef. It was an excellent dining experience.
I was looking for a quick light yet out of the ordinary lunch between UNCG graduation ceremonies. Osteria met every expectation with a nice selection of delicious light Italian lunch offerings that were exquisitely prepared and served in a timely fashion.
Though my dish was quite good (Bronzino), our server appeared very uninterested in us and it really effected our evening.
Excellent food and service. Would recommend if you want authentic Italian food.
Food is wonderful. Pasta is always made fresh. Seafood Fra Diavolo is one of the best I have ever had!
My wife’s birthday. Fantastic food, drink and service. A perfect evening
Great food and service as always. We appreciated not feeling rushed and able to enjoy a relaxed dinner and evening.
Excellent service. Food was delicious. Chief went out of his way for our dietary needs. Really appreciated the extra.
noise level too loud. could use some more baffles or tapestry to quieten things down
Our waiter was overwhelmed with customer to serve and several times appeared to be annoyed with having to deal with us. He never smiled and acted stressed with what he had to handle.
The food was good but we were surprised when told you did not have amaretto or limoncello?
Lasagna is outstanding and the service is fabulous!
My only complaint was that the food was not hot - mostly lukewarm even asking for it to be heated up. The food here is wonderful. There are many options. I truly love this restaurant. Tables are nicely spaced. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Once again, the experience of dining at Osteria was wonderful. The food was delicious (mushroom risotto, shrimp & scallop over pasta, chocolate mousse) !! Always a great experience.
Absolutely fabulous! The food was perfectly prepared, the service was impeccable and the wine list is great!
Amazingly attentive service and great food
Thanks so much for your great service
Consistently excellent cuisine and service
Glad we tried it once but won't return. The space is adjacent two retail units that, no fault of theirs, is simply too hard to make into a nice restaurant environment. Even though there were only ~ 15 patrons on our side of the restaurant it was loud. Server was attentive and observant without being pushy. The food .... I had a seafood ravioli dish that tasted fine, which is exactly its problem ... it really didn't have anything unique to offer. My wife had one of the specials ... grouper with shrimp, squid, and salt (listed as a main ingredient because on purpose) . Because it was a "special" and not on the menu price was not disclosed. The check comes ... $20 for my dish, $38 for hers. Nice try guys.
Always excellent! I have never had anything less than a truly savory and delicious meal at Osteria!
Nice atmosphere, good service, and great food.
My wife's pasta was great . My special grouper was not good because the grouper itself was rubbery and could not have been fresh grouper as advertised ($38). Service was good . Seating was close but we knew that going in . Bar was loud but that didn't bother us . My fish dish was terrific , except for the fish !
The seafood at Osteria is always excellent. We had been seated for about 7 minutes before we were asked about drink service, and I was disappointed that a Manhattan was served without a maraschino cherry. A small thing, but details matter when one goes out. But this is a wonderful restaurant and I always look forward to dining here.
It was a quiet and small place. Wish it had outdoor sitting. Vegetarian food was not good at all.
Dinner was great, the space is poorly arranged and the lighting conditions pretty bad. I was dissatisfied with the dessert described as Italian Cheesecake and there are no words to describe what I was serve. It was unpalatable dessert...
We were visiting our daughter in Greensboro and went here for her birthday dinner. Based on reviews and pictures I thought it would be more special. It's fine but not very nice inside - showing some wear and tear - and not the shabby intentional kind. The restaurant is small and there was a large group so it was loud until they left. Not the restaurants fault, but not pleasant. My husband ordered pasta in a cream sauce, my daughter the ribeye and I had the lobster/shrimp pasta. The food was good, not great. My daughter's steak was way too salty and my dinner arrived at least 5 minutes after the other entrees arrived. They did comp us a dessert but not sure that was enough. I would not go back. If someone asked I wouldn't say "don't go" but I also wouldn't give it a glowing endorsement. It was just okay overall.
My friends got sick. The food was not too good😞. I not coming back!
Every time I have visited, I experience something new! Great restaurant, fantastic service and my fiance and I have decided to make your restaurant our monthly visit outing.. We have posted our entree on social media and received many inquiries, we were delighted to put your Restaurant out there and we boasted on the entire experience.
They have a Great ribeye steak with fingerling potatoes.Thats my favorite!
Great lunch with out of town friends who requested we return to Osteria!
