Osteria Italian Restaurant
Service & food were great !! Nice ambience too.
Our server Dakota was happy, helpful and on game . Food was yummy. We chose a few apps to start, lovely glass of blended red wine and yummy shrimp pasta. Staff was attentive & happy . We will be back, when in town again.
First time at Osteria. I found it to be a very enjoyable experience.
Osteria is our favorite Italian restaurant.
We recently had a holiday lunch with family. It was the first visit to Osteria for some.
We all enjoyed ourselves tremendously.
Waiter was knowledgeable and entertaining. Ambiance was just right for our celebration on a couples night. Food was mouth watering that your partners dish must be tasted or eaten by you as well! Was fun and will be back!
Awesome as always. This should be our “go to” place in GSO And it should be yours! Food, service, atmosphere, wine list and all of the extras are here. Look forward to returning again and again.
Our Christmas Eve Family dinner was outstanding as usual. Staff was friendly and service was great.
Excellent authentic Italian food with fresh hand-made pasta.
The level of the dishes in authenticity at Osteria is so high that we so want to be able to enjoy this restaurant, but the service is just never good. Often the wait staff makes you feel like they're doing you a favor by waiting on you, but this last visit was the worst. We were seated at our reservation time, but we received no menus. 13 minutes later we still had no menus, nor had anyone bothered to find out if we wanted a drink. We finally looked on our phones to see menus and the waitress appeared 5 minutes later (18 minutes after we sat down) with 2 menus for 4 people and to finally take a drink order. Things just got worse from there. I can understand if a restaurant is busy, but then it's important to acknowledge the issue and apologize for the inconvenience. The woman who waited on us hardly said a word and did not even attempt to explain the issues with the service. It was also strange because our table was in bright light, but the table next to us was in the dark. Osteria seems to do good business, but I think they take for granted they can treat patrons any which way and don't consider that service is an important part of the fine dining experience. So disappointing!
Osteria is always fantastic too to bottom! Definitely a favorite in Greensboro l!
Best food in Greensboro bar none! Appetizers, entrees, desserts all out of this world.
Food was very good and portions were generous. Not many in the restaurant at the time however we felt our waitress was not as attentive as she could have been. Will definitely be back
Lasagna is the best in Greensboro!
Average at best. Indifferet service. Half empty restaurant
Great to find good Italian in the area. Our table enjoyed 4 different salad offerings. All were creative, flavorful and fresh. We had lasagna, fra diavolo and the salmon pasta. All servings were generous and delicious. Service was impeccable. Will visit again.
We enjoyed our meal greatly. We shared appetizers : veal meatballs and the spinach ricotta crepes. Both delish.
Great food, intelligent, knowledgeable waitstaff, loved our meal as usual!
Delicious food. The service is excellent. The ambiance is cool, but it’s a bit of a loud restaurant. Great overall experience.
The quality of the ingredients was very good but the flavors were not there. The scallop appetizer was just two scallops and were fishy, as well as the seafood ravioli. The lasagna was tender but lacked salt to enhance the foavors. Our quest for a good Italian restaurant in Greensboro NC continues. The owner's other restaurant is very good though.
Outstanding and consistent upscale Italian cuisine at a price that is surprisingly affordable for the quality. Our "go to" for quality Italian in the region.
The menu, the food and the wine list are beautiful. Everything was exceptional. The only drawbacks were the noise - it was loud and not a very romantic or cozy setting. The tables absolutely needed table cloths and a candle or small centerpiece. The tabletops were worn and not well cared for. No artwork on the walls. The quality of the food was amazing, but for a highly recommended restaurant we were expecting more ambiance. We will go again because the menu was lovely and delicious. But I hope the owner pays attention to the entire dining experience.
Excellent food, good wine list, good overall selection of various Italian styles and dishes. A bit noisy due to small space with large number of patrons and hard floors and walls with nothing to deaden the sound.
Delicious food. Great ambience.
Terrific dinner as always
Best Italian in GSO. Pasta always fresh, ingredients wonderful, menu solid. Always a good vale with great food/service.
It is my second time to visit this restaurant within 2 weeks time. Food is wonderful and service is excellent. Will definitely visit again when next time in town.
VERY NICE FOR A SPECIAL EVENING OUT. ABLE TO MAKE CONVERSATION WITHOUT STRAINING.
Often out of wine you want then owner tries to up sell you. Cocktails not as good as it used to be. Restaurant is declining.
Phenomenal wine selection, service and food! Our server, Henry, was awesome!
Osteria is a hidden gem, the food is excellent and offer great selection We ordered four appetizers, soup and four main dishes to share for dinner and everything is excellent. Seafood is very fresh and we will definitely go back again.
We have eaten at Osteria a number of times for lunch and have really enjoyed it. So, we decided to try it for dinner. I thought the food was really good. We both had salads as appetizers. I had the homemade pasta and my husband had a fish entrée. Both were really tasty and the portions were appropriate. Interestingly, they only had Italian wines on the wine menu. So, it was neat to be able to try wines that I was not as familiar with. The only potential negative was that the lighting was rather bright where we were sat. I would have preferred a softer light.
Excellent service and the lunch menu has a variety of selections. I have never had anything at this restaurant that was not delicious and prepared so well. Will continue to return to this restaurant. Highly recommend!
We selected Osteria to celebrate our wedding anniversary (29th this year!) which has become a tradition for us over the past 3-5 years and as always, we are never disappointed. The food is simply outstanding and you cannot beat the homemade pastas! The Strozzapreti is one of my favorites and it always satisfies, a simple yet complex dish with great flavors! Great homemade rolls and the Chef's Choice salad is delicious and light. Others really enjoy the Fettuccini and it is quite delicious as well! We highly recommend Osteria for a great Italian dinner out!
Very personal attention, great menu. Overall wonderful vibe!
This was our first time dining at Osteria Italian. We found the food to be good and well seasoned. It took a long time for us to find someone to take our initial drink order and generally service was polite and slow. This is a small restaurant and was very noisy during our dinner. Our total bill, for two, was a little over $100 and there are several other restaurants in Greensboro and surrounding areas I would choose ahead of Osteria Italian that would be in the same price range for a meal.
I was quite disappointed. Most importantly, we did not feel welcome in the restaurant. We'd made 6:30 reservations via OpenTable on a Monday night for my birthday. It's a small restaurant, so upon entering, you basically walk right into the bar area. There was a bartender that hardly acknowledged me (5 total diners seated at the time). You get a better welcome at Moe's! Rolls were mildly stale and tepid. Meal was expensive for what was presented. 3 staff were around the bar when we left and not one said thank you for coming, goodbye, goodnight..... anything. We spent $146 for 2 and won't ever be going back.
Out of town guests.
I always enjoy coming to Osteria because it is more authentic Italian than most places, I am Italian and appreciate good Italian food.
Always a treat for us to share Osteria with them. Best ‘real Italian food in Greensboro.’ Fantastic wine list, (really) fresh food and marvelous desserts. A great restaurant.
The food is excellent. The lamb chops were delicious even though I ordered medium rare and they were closer to medium well. My companion’s salmon was cooked perfectly, also medium rare.
The only real negative I see is the down-in-the-dumps look of the exterior and the blankness of the interior. But maybe that’s the look they want. They seem to have plenty of business so maybe no one cares but me.
