Perfect patio escape with amazing service and exceptional cuisine!!! Grateful for the experience. Thank you!!
The Calamari was outstanding!! The ambiance was breath taking. The service, impeccable. I had the Halibut and it was over salted. The time before, I had the lamb meatballs and they too were over salted.
I have been here many times and always enjoy the food the service the ambience; sometimes the noise level is high in the interior dining area but that’s because it’s so popular here.
I nonni is one of our favorites. Some of he dishes were absolutely spectacular but a couple were surprisingly just good. For a place that has consistently surpassed expectations across multiple visits and years of patronage, it is easy to chalk this up as an off night. It was still a nice night with the family.
In a nutshell, the food and drink were great and the service was unsatisfactory. I have been to two restaurants seated outside since pandemic reopening. This felt like Amateur Night, particularly compared to the other restaurant I have visited. Two complaints. First, no seating timing controls were in place and earlier arriving guests stayed at their tables for a long time. Result for us was being seated 50 minutes after our reservation with no explanation or apology. Second, no COVID procedures seemed to be in place, particularly compared to the other restaurant I had visited a coupl eof weeks earlier, where procedures were clear, felt safe and were being followed.
We've been repeat customer at I Nonni for years and were sad to hear the GM, Tom, left. We went again this weekend and the new GM Joseph was such a joy to meet. He has extensive experience in the restaurant industry and was very helpful in suggesting delicious drink pairing for our food. We look forward to returning for years to come. :)
As always I Nonni didn’t disappoint! It’s one of the Twin Cities’ gems!
iNonni consistently comes through with delicious, outside-of-the-norm dishes to tempt your palate. Their patio is a hidden gem, as well.
My first restaurant meal in four months!! Exceeded expectations. Nicely done with the social distancing and other measures. Patio is gorgeous and food excellent, as always.
The food was impeccably presented, the flavors well paired, the wine selection impressive, and the service the perfectly attentive.
The manager, Joe Pirri, made us feel like honored guests.
5 stars, and we look forward to coming back!
(The only recommendation would be to decrease the portion sizes so we could try more on the menu at once.)
We were delighted that I Nonni has kept its high standards despite the change in ownership. A terrific meal!
Started off with drinks and a prosciutto & arugula pizza, which was fantastic. Waited for a while after finishing the pizza before our waitress came to take our orders. Three of the four items ordered tasted overwhelmingly of red pepper, so much so that it drowned out all other flavors. Our waitress failed to refill our water throughout the meal.
Lovely patio with attentive staff, good wine menu and excellent appetizers and entrees made for a wonderful evening.
Glad to have this staple back open. While I normally reserve this eatery for very special occasions. It’s actually a great place for anytime you need to have some of the best Italian food in town. I’m sure Covid has changed the restaurant business. I’m very happy to spend my money supporting a locally owned place vs a national chain. they still bring their A game after reopening. New menu brought me a difficult decision and needed to make my bride promise a return visit in short order.
Too much salt in both entrees. No subtlety in the flavor profiles...just lots of salt.
Patio seating was lovely on a summer night. Service and food impeccable as always. A wonderful return to normalcy.
Food and service was phenomenal. Patio was beautiful.
With things opening up, they have done an outstanding job to comply with all the rules and regulations. You miss seeing the faces of your waitstaff, but all in all, a lovely evening. We were celebrating our anniversary and it did not disappoint.
It was great to get back to I Nonni after so many months without a restaurant meal. Same great food, cocktails, and service. Dining in their patio is always a pleasure.
It was wonderful to be back at I Nonni. It is one of our favorite restaurants! The food is wonderful and we love the patio.
Great food, great service, great patio. Fine wine and great cocktails.
Fantastic sitting on the patio. Great treat!
Always love this place
Service was prompt without disrupting the ambience or environment. Alyssa was a true professional, excellent, polite and extremely accommodating. Food was amazing with our Arancini to start maybe the highlight of our meal. Brussel sprouts, halibut and crab cakes all had multiple layers of flavor that complimented each other with every bite. Our palette was quite content and it capped off an amazing wedding anniversary. Thank you and well done!
We’ve going here for years, always top notch! Best beef carpaccio around!
The best experience. Our first restaurant after the shut down and it was amazing.
Excellent service and food.
One of our favorite places!!
Thank you for opening - I've missed restaurants more than anything.
Beautiful patio and great food!
Great food-especially if you like fish and pasta dishes.
We are used to eating inside and didn’t think the outside experience was as “fancy”. Our server was terrific. The server was great and made us feel special. Most entrees were usual caliber but some not as much for the cost.
Good food, maybe a little too loud, but nice atmosphere.
Our waiter was a too quiet to understand, and he was a little bit slow getting to us.
We came for dinner on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant was NOT busy whatsoever, except a bit busy in the bar.
Ambience, decor, food and beverage choices were all top notch for a special occasion dinner.
However, though server was initially attentive in checking with us, after our drink order, that attentiveness diminished significantly. It took a long time to receive our cocktails. We wanted to sit and talk and relax. She checked occasionally. After a while, we ordered a salad to split. Bread came and was wonderful. When the salad did arrive, we ordered a glass of wine each, then shortly ordered our entrees. Salad with beets was extraordinary! Entrees took an unusually long time. However, they were spectacular. Ordered more wine and a dessert TO GO.
Overall excellent A+. Server earned a C at best.
Our go to restaurant for all occasions. Recommend the beef short rib, so tender and flavorful. The knowledgeable staff will help pick out the perfect wine to match your dish and palette.
The food and service were outstanding! Was disappointed in the seating as the tables are so close together. You can hear everybody else’s conversations, not very intimate when you’re trying to be on a nice date with the husband.
Food was good but service was lacking for the overall cost I expect more. They seem to cater more to the regulars.
Service was subpar considering the cost and we were sat between two large groups so very loud.
Very good only could be better sitting outside on a nice summer day!
We've experienced extremely, fine dining in our lives. Tonights dining experience wasn't one of them. Lets begin where we were seated. It was cold. It was drafty. Lets review our food choices. I ordered the bistecca which was a N.Y. Strip steak. The first bite it tasted like fish. Remember I ordered a steak. I scraped what appeared to be some sort of sauce from it yet never once did it taste like steak. She ordered stuffed chicken that tasted like a hand full of salt. We were very disappointed. The point being once upon a year ago we had experienced such a lovely time only, to have tonight end our times ahead of any chance of return.Time for a new chef!
A great restaurant to have dinner with friends or family. The food is great.
Lively but not overpowering! Tommy is great with wine knowledge!
