Though food is good, for some reason the place is not appealing at all. Very few people, just ok service. I think it´s easy to get something similiar in Sausalito with a better vibe.
The live piano is really nice and the meals is delicious
Found this restaurant on line and wanted to try it.
Reviews were excellent and the food was very good
Good prices too. But I thought the tiny place could use a
little redecorating to make it a more vibrant environment.
Off the beaten path but a good meal.
Waitress was busy ... she was rough around the edges... a bit brusque.
Food quality was inconsistent which was the reason for the 3 stars. The bread was good, starters of soup and salad good; crab ravioli - pasta great, crab meat itself salty. entrees - one was good but the scallop dish was disappointing. 4 scallops on a bed of greens. scallops pretty standard. the problem was parts of the greens were very salty - as if the chef had taken a pinch of salt and sprinkled directly over the greens, so where the salt landed was the salty mouthful!
lastly, we ordered what we thought were lemon cookies. what arrived was ONE smaller than the size of a quarter cookie. probably because it looked so pathetic on the plate, another one by half inch lemon tasting covered toffee/caramel? (which we didn't like) item was on the plate. it cost $6! overall prices on the high side.
Early Valentine's Day dinner - it did not disappoint. Appreciated the live music and that we were in a room that we could still have a quiet romantic dinner.
I've eaten here for brunch many times but never went for dinner. It was wonderful! Great food, wine and service. Excellent jazz music. Its a quaint, cozy place. Its our new favorite. Will return again and again.
Overpriced. The food is not authentic Italian food. The rice I had was way too spicy and not cooked like a proper arborio rice, it was missing the correct mantecatura. Grains were disconnected. My husband had a pasta dish and he was also very unsatisfied with the cooking of the pasta, it tasted like wine instead of vongole, seems like the wine was not evaporated correctly from the pan.
Sehr laut, eine Unterhaltung ist kaum möglich. Live-Band zusätzlich laut.
Love it more every time we go. Welcoming atmosphere with the best food, service and entertainment. Can't say enough good things.
Best little local Bistro. Full of atmosphere. Food is delicious. Service is over the top. Music is always fantastic!
Elena and the staff were so attentive and it was obvious they knew the locals and took care of them. Really amazing ambiance and live music.
This restaurant is our Sausalito favorite. Their live music is delightful but don't think you'll be able to have dinner table conversation easily if you're eating in the bar. Food was fresh and well seasoned with CA cuisine take on the Italian fare. In the summer, we love to sit outside and enjoy the ambiance of Caledonia Street.
Dinner was delicious, service was excellent. Each of us enjoyed different meals Added value was singer doing jazz standards. LIghting was romantic and pleasant.. Lovely evening.
romantic, local sausalito crowd, wonderful live jazz and blues music on weekends! Great service
I felt like I was in a intimate New York City jazz club! It was a very, very enjoyable experience with good food, wine, and company. The ambiance had a good vibe, and it looked like all of the patrons were enjoying themselves too - lots of smiles, hugs, and kisses! Tis the season!!!
we love this place. Good food , service and friendly patrons. music and conversation with other patrons. this is a special place.
We loved sitting at the bar, listening to live jazz in the cozy dining room, chatting with the excellent bartender and eating some delicious appetizers and pasta. We'll be back!
The energy in here is always spectacular!! I love that they are always buying local produce & have the best specials. Per usual-my food was delicious.
Came here for a dinner with a friend on a Tuesday night at 6. We had a table in the back room so we could talk. But this is not the place to talk as the music / room acoustics are always loud. Fun spot to listen to live music and have a glass of wine though. Food wise - the meal was average for the price. Burrata was served too cold for my taste and arugula was limp; linguini and clams were average and the shrimp appetizer was drowned in heavy tomato sauce. And the service wasn’t great for such a small space. We asked that each dish be served one at a time. The linguini came way too fast and when we asked our server to hold off, the plate returned cold so we had to send it back. Our wine glasses sat empty for over 10 mins despite twice asking for a refill. Been here twice before and had a better experience so maybe just an off night, but overall I always come away feeling the food could be better given the price, and it’s hard to have a conversation.
I've been to Osteria Divino before and enjoyed music, food, vibe. This time the service was slow and somewhat insolent, they were out of the generic wine we wished to order, and I couldn't hear the person next to me. My pesto gnocci was very good, and I might go back for lunch but definitely not for dinner.
Friendly, accommodating staff, eager to please, excellent food, lovely ambience, beautiful music. What more could one want in a dining experience?
Wonderful meal off the tourist track. We went for a romantic dinner and were delighted with the live music duo playing in the corner. Authentic, yet creative Italian cuisine.
Fabulous food, charm, and live music makes this a must visit restaurant.
Dinner was just fine. Service was little to none, but the atmosphere was nice.
This is worth the walk to one block off of Bridgeway where most of the eateries are touristy. We had the freshest salads, one seafood loaded with shrimp, calamari, mussels and clams, the other with freshly grilled chicken breast. We shared a bowl of minestrone which was fresh and more than enough for two. The most memorable part of the meal was the focaccia brought to the table. Thin and crispy, wonderful! They have an extensive panini menu and I can only imagine how good those are based on the focaccia I tasted. Yum.
Osteria Divino is one of the best restaurants... excellent food, drinks, service, atmosphere, music. The food was AMAZING!!!!!!
Lovely spot. Breakfast was excellent. Clearly a favorite of locals. Norley's were outstanding and we appreciated the fresh sides.
Delicious food served by a friendly staff in an unpretentious atmosphere.
Great value for the money. Taste like authentic italian food. The lasagne was delicious and the waitress was very nice.
My wife and I came here on our date night this past Sunday. There was a three-piece jazz band playing, so the atmosphere was noisy, but fun. We were immediately seated and attended to by multiple servers, and the service was great! The food was really good, and we would both highly recommend this restaurant!
A gem tucked away on Caledonia, try to sit at the bar for the best seat in the house for the music and the staff always entertaining.
Enormously creative Italian sleeper two blocks north of the Sausalito tourist strip. Amazing what Elena and her team produce form a tiny kitchen, bright fresh ingredients and irepressible energy.
Intimate environment, attentive staff and delicious food.
Unexpected live music was the icing on the cake.
The food was pretty tasty but the service was EXTREMELY slow. We got there for dinner, 2 of us, at 7 and didn't leave until well after 9. Every time we needed something we had to flag service crew down because they never checked back in with us.
Great food and dessert. My carpaccio and squid ink gnocchi were execellent. I think they have the best pena cotta. Music is slight too loud for me but I have a great time
Outstanding authentic Italian food.
Good service and subdued surroundings do not make up for a lack of distinction in the food. A good chef and a more aggressive Italian flavor would really help.
Maybe the restaurant wants only local customers? The other tables got quick service and bread. I got very slow service and no bread. I would've asked for it, but I didn't notice that others had got it until I had finished my meal. I did think it was odd that I had what looked like a bread plate. I think they might've forgotten to dress my salad, too. The menu said "balsamic dressing," but it tasted like bare lettuce. For these reasons, I wouldn't go back to the restaurant or recommend it. However, the food is very fresh.
