Always wanted to eat at this restaurant bc it was just down the street. The service was slow but friendly, nice wine list, fresh pasta but all in all, we were disappointed. We will give it another chance.
Loved the food. Server had great suggestions! We all loved the food!
Miguel was very attentive as was the owner of the restaurant! We wanted to sit outside and we did until it rained. A table was saved for us inside. We would definitely go again. The food was excellent and the portions were generous.
Great service. Both of our meals were wonderful. The parking lot owned by the restaurant made parking so easy.
The restaurant here is overpriced. Definitely, what I paid did not much what I got. Food was quite mediocre, Service meh.
Bad table, bad service
Really great place with friendly staff and excellent food. Will go back
Good restaurant. Good food. Average portion size. Service was fair at best.
We went here on a Monday night because most restaurants in Santa Fe were closed. The drinks were good and the staff were great and we had a pleasant patio table, but the food was overpriced and of poor quality. They served us warmed up stale bread for starters, followed by a Caesar salad with bitter lettuce (some of it with brown spots) that tasted like it came out of a bag. Our entrees consisted of a very rubbery, flavorless eggplant dish and a bowl of linguine topped with chicken, spinach, and sun-dried tomatoes cooked in jarred tomato sauce mixed with cream. We passed on eating the chicken.
Reservations were early, just after opening. Great service, all staff very attentive. Drinks and food was top notch, very enjoyable, fresh, and tasty. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to going again.
Service was great but food was a bit lack luster. Also we never got our appetizer.
While we understand that the pandemic has left businesses short of help, something should have been done, as there was no excuse for slow and disorganized service. They treated us with no regard. I would not recommend this establishment to any one.
Our waiter was very personable, but that could not overcome the very lengthy wait we had for our food. People who came in well after us were served before us, and we were basically ignored with the exception of getting our water refilled.
We had our usual lovely evening at Osteria D'Assisi with some friends. We were greeted at once and shown to our table and on the way were greeted by the owner. Joy was attentive, helpful, friendly, and professional. We even had a celebrity sighting. The food and wine were wonderful as always and we'll definitely be back.
Mundane food Chicken parm very ordinary. Noise level to high.Need some soft surfaces to absorb noise..Better choices in Santa Fe and better value
One of the best Italian meals we have had in New Mexico.
After three weeks on the road, this fine dining provided my wife and I a delightful ambiance with excellent choices. The Australian fish was amazing.
We love Osteria D'Assisi! Perfectly seasoned and prepared entrees along with amazing bread!
Osteria D'Assisi never disappoints and last night was no exception. Great food, quick and attentive service, lovely outdoor table. We always come back!
Staff did an excellent job despite shortages. Enjoyed the evening and would highly recommend.
The food is always great, and changes are made without hesitation. Very friendly and competent staff, including even the new trainee (Christian).
We were early for our reservation, however, we were seated immediately and given menus. After a few minutes, our waiter took our orders, however, the glasses of wine were not served until after the salad arrived. The caesar salad was not particularly fresh (a few brown leaves), and had an off flavor of plastic with a poor quality of dressing. Shortly after the salad arrived, we had to move our plates aside for the entrees. Consequently, our choice was to put the salad aside to eat the entrees while they were warm or attempt to juggle the salad plates and the entrees, trying to eat them at the same time. My husband's entree was good and up to former Osteria standards, however, my pasta Carolina was poorly conceived and prepared and may have been a purchased frozen and microwaved dish. We did not order desert because by then, the service was continuing to deteriorate; one table of people who had been there when we arrived were saying loudly, "Please, please, no more bread. Just bring us our food." We returned home, for drinkable glasses of wine and home made pie.
We recognize the difficulties and challenges for the restaurant during these times and we wish the management and staff the best. We will not be returning, however.
Always good and dependable.
Always consistent: good food and service. Back rooms dark and noisy from the kitchen; better to be seated in the light and airy front rooms or patio. Caesar salad needs some work with better lettuce and dressing. Not much choice on dessert. Still, consistently good meals overall.
Delicious pasta .. good service . I’m a local and it’s a legit Italian restaurant
Very expensive for the poor quality of food, very bad service and waiting for drinks, repeatedly had to ask for silverware, water, bread, etc.
Margarita was undrinkable, pizza was $20 and basically just a ridiculously thin cheese pizza. Won’t be back.
I absolutely love this place. Our waiter was Chris and he was hands down the best!
I'm leaving out one star because the food was luke warm instead of hot. We were sitting upstairs. So, this may be part of the problem. I could have complained to our waiter. But, he was very busy & I think that he may have had tables downstairs. So, I felt guilty about doing this. I love the restaurant. I love the upstairs as well as the downstairs. It was my first time dining upstairs. It was also my first time dining at Osteria 'd Assisi in several years. The food has always been very good & this time, there was no difference other than the temperature. I will return. Also: loved the wine & my partner's drink = a bourbon cocktail.
We always enjoy eating here. We met friends for dinner and each of us had a different menu item and all were very nice. It was a bit louder than usual this time but all due to guests. The menu has been expanded a bit which is most welcome. This remains one of our favorite restaurants.
The service was spot on!!!Every course was perfectly timed. Credit the waiter and his assistants.the food was excellent although the rolled eggplant main course could have been warmer. The rigatoni with sausage and eggplant was first class!!! It was a really good value. The waiter made the night. He was personable and on top of every course
Our waiter was slow getting back to us , so we were there a very long time. He was very nice, just overwhelmed.
Food was good.
Very nice. Sat outside. Beautiful evening. Server went to extreme lengths to find the mix for the drink we wanted!!! Food was very good also.
From the very friendly chat with the owner upon checking in through the last drop of the house limoncello …perfection. Enjoyed every bite!!!!!
My husband and I had a date night. We were not impressed with our server the back up service was better. Our server forgot our wine choice and didn’t check in enough to see if we wanted or needed anything farther. We understand that things are tough for restaurants at this time. A bit more training would benefit this server. Our dinner took 3 hours for a 2 top. The food was good, the risotto was a bit undercooked and the lobster was a bit over done. We enjoyed the atmosphere. May wait a bit before trying this restaurant again.
Terrible, We waited way too long 1-1/2 hours to get our meal.
What a sad dining experience! I was visiting Santa Fe for work and decided to book a reservation here and I really wish I had decided on someplace else. To start, it took over ten minutes for someone to come and take my order. I understand it can get busy but you don’t keep guests waiting that long. I ordered the Carbonara, which, is my go-to when I go
Chris was great! Took a little while to get main entree but overall great! In fairness they were one of very few restaurants open on Monday so they were very busy. The Democratic Governor had also just allowed New Mexico to reopen!
Made reservation online! Wife’s birthday! When made reservation it asked if there was a special occasion and I entered birthday! When we arrived they did not acknowledge that it was someone birthday. If you not going to acknowledge then don’t ask the question! Food was excellent! Service was excellent! Slightly overpriced.
