Osteria D' Assisi
It was a prom date. It was so amazing. The waiter was so friendly to me and my boy. It made us feel welcomed and cared for. The live music was amazing. The food was so so amazing and delicious. Keep it up
Lovely dining experience, would definitely recommend. Authentic Italian pasta, home made, delicious! Owners originally from Lake Como, glad they came to Santa Fe with their cuisine.
Celebrating our birthdays with a good friend was delightful. Lovely, delicious pasta, salad and gazpacho was perfect!
Puerto was an outstanding waiter and made the evening highly enjoyable. Food and service was great. Atmosphere was perfectly Santa Fe.
We had the lasagna and ravioli. Food was delicious and our waiter David provided great service.
Great food, great service, friendly staff and generous portions. The chicken parm with fresh pasta was great. My wife had the special pasta with mussels, shrimp, and fish. She loved it.
Great service , we received table in location we requested - appreciated
Lovely location for Easter Sunday lunch.
We have always enjoyed Osteria D’ Osteria, however, on this night Osteria did not have their act together. Table was only partially set with a tray left on one seat and silverware missing at one place. Pizza delivered was not the one ordered. Violinist played too loud. Overall, a major disappointment.
We went for my mom’s 75th Birthday. The restaurant was hot. My son’s salad was barely dressed. No one in our party enjoyed their entree. Disappointing for sure.
Great Italian cuisine in the heart of Mexican and New Mexican restaurants. A great find
My wife and I decided to dine at Osteria D'Assisi while in Sante Fe and we had a mixed experience. After being seated our server provided us with the information on the specials of the evening. My wife decided to try the Halibut special which she said was amazing. I started with a mixed greens salad which was very fresh and the dressing was very light and very good. I decided to try the linguine with seafood and I've ordered that meal on many occasions at Italian restaurants as we've traveled throughout the country. When our server brought the meal it was somewhat disapponting as the home made linguine wasn't as good as I thought it should be.......it seemed to be a little tough and the garlic lemon white wine sauce had a different flavor than I anticipated. I found a bottle of Vermentino on the wine list which complemented our meals very well. After finishing our meals I thought I would have dessert which I don't often do. I do enjoy gelato and they had a vanilla gelato on the dessert menu which I ultimately ordered. When our server brought it the chef had drizzled chocolate all over it which completely ruined the dessert.........I am not a chocolate fan and had our server mentioned the dessert came with a chocolate drizzle I would have told him not to add it. I shared the dessert with my wife and fortunately she ate the gelato with the chocolate on it. I think we would go back to this restaurant the next time we're in Santa Fe but I would certainly order something different.
We had a party of 10 people. They were extremely accommodating and the service was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The food was great too!
Had our favorite waiter, Georgio, and he selected our wine which was excellent. Soup had to be sent back for reheating but was delicious. Great salad. Pasta as always superb.
I had their halibut special and it was one of the best meals I have had in recent memory. Outstanding!
Food was fresh and good size portions. We travel all over and this was very good. We would come back when in town again
Our group of three had a very pleasant experience at Osteria D' Assisi - the combination of the food, ambiance, service all contributed to a satisfying lunch. My order was the lunch special -- soup of the day (Gazpacho) and Fettuccine Carolina (1/2 portion) -- with coffee and Tiramisu for dessert. Delizioso!
Due to an illness I need to use a walker to move around. The entire staff was wonderfully accommodating, even opening a side door to shorten my walking distance. Add to that a delicious meal, in a charming setting and you have all the ingredients for a delightful dining experience.
Dinner tonight was not good. We usually love this restaurant so not sure if it was just an off night. The time between our starters
And entrees was way too long. Strangest thing ever. Entrees were smaller than usual. Branzino was suppose to have risotto and came with mashed potatoes. When asked he brought a cup of rice, not risotto??
Party of six and they automatically added 20 percent tip. We know why, because the whole evening was not up to par....
Normally a favorite of ours. Not so much anymore. Too many great restaurants in Santa Fe.
We have been to Italy many times (my daughter lives in Rome). The owner of this restaurant is from Lake Como. Perhaps in that section of Italy the food has little spice. We thought the food although authentic, was tasteless. we wont' be back. Ambiance is great. Lots of customers. We couldn't figure out why.
Friends in from out of town!
Food and service were wonderful. The noise level, from conversation, was pretty high, yes. But the restaurant was crowded, it was a Saturday night, everybody was talking and having a good time, and that's bound to happen on Saturday nights in good restaurants.
Great food. We had the Osso Bucco and the Saltimboccha. Superb. Pietro is one of a kind at service, makes you feel right at home and in Italy at the same time. Very nice wines selection to boot!
Best sea bass and raviolis. Loved our experience. Perfect night!
Best Italian Restaurant in Santa Fe. Consistently great food, service and atmosphere. In a city that puts on a lot of airs and can be snooty Osteria D’Assisi doesn’t and isn’t. Refined casual all the way.
I hope I spell his name correctly...Pietro was our server and he was fabulous! He was so much more than a server. We talked with him and learned a little about him and his home roots. We ordered a bottle of wine and then decided instead of asking his recommendations for an appetizer, salad, dinner and desert that he surprise us. It was absolutely amazing. I usually get the same ole pasta dishes when I dine Italian but we got our of our norm and had the best gnocchi for an appetizer then Cesar salad. For dinner I had what I thought was similar to schnitzel with fries which was delicious and my boyfriend had OSSO BUCO E RISOTTO. Both were FABULOUS! This was followed by cappuccino and pistachio ice cream. I never would’ve guessed I would be a fan of that flavor, but I was. We dined here on a recommendation for our quick 1-night get-a-way and now we will make this a regular dining spot, with Pietro of course, when we come to Santa Fe. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.
Osteria is one of our favorite Italian restaurants. The food is excellent and the varity is great. Homemade pastas, fresh fish, etc. are always the case. The two brothers that own the restaurant and incredible and Pietro, who loves to serve is always fun. He is also an excellent chef and usually makes some special appetizers to share with the diners. Don't miss this great dining experience.
Their prosciutto panino and beer battered fries were delicious! Server could’ve been more attentive but overall it’s a great choice for lunch.
Lasagna always perfect and with everything else service is always great I love osteria
Check ahead if you want the brunch menu. Even though they advertised it in the Santa Fe New Mexican, the cook and wait staff didn’t think it was available
Enjoyed a delicious meal. Nice fresh bread. No more brunch menu despite what the website shows. Food (main courses) took a bit longer to come to the table than what we expected.
We will be back.
My favorite place in Santa Fe! Food and service were wonderful
As always food was amazing. However, service was not what we are used to. Entrees were delayed. Second bottle of wine came after entrees were just finished. The check was brought without asking if we would like dessert. It felt like we were being rushed as if there was someone coming in after us...which wasn’t the case. Arianna was either preoccupied with other tables or new to the business. Very poor attentiveness to our table and just not the experience we have come to expect from one of our favorite restaurants.
We just left the restaurant- it was truly atrocious.
It was like a restaurant run by high school students- there was no manager or senior person that we could see.
The waitress served us the wrong appetizers and then we had to wait 25min. for the entrees and they were also incorrect! Then we waited another 15min. Truly it was crazy! The waitress was totally out to lunch - she kept apologizing and then ignoring the table. I actually had to get up from the table numerous times to ask for service, utensils, help clearing the table etc. It was like the staff had no training.
Also all the staff knew what was going on because we were sitting in the bar area and I could see and hear them.
The waitress never asked how anything was or if we wanted coffee or tea w dessert. Oh and even the dessert took forever.
And then the food! The shrimp pasta special was watery and the pasta undercooked. My partners Bronzino was tough, bony and inedible. All the food was very sub-par Italian- and that’s being kind. Unfortunately we were being treated by out of town guests and it was really embarrassing for everyone. This experience was absolutely awful.
I enjoy the food the staff every time I go very friendly place and food is wonderful
We have dined at Osteria D' Assisi many times and it has always been a great experience.
There needs to coordination between the restaurant and OpenTable. You accepted a reservation for lunch, but when we arrived there was a sign on the door saying they didn't open until dinner.
Have been to Osteria many times over the years. Recent visit had above average noise, slower than usual service for overpriced Italian food. Wine list is good. Restaurant Week menu is the best value, but we had to ask for it.
Always a pleasantly memorable meal is had at Osteria D' Assisi. Service was professionally rendered. Food was presented beautifully and was uniquely tasteful, as always. Thank you Osteria D' Assisi.
