Osteria D' Assisi
This was our first visit but will not be the last. Everything was excellent. All 5 stars.
Best lasagna anywhere and our waiter David is the best!
We took family members who were visiting to this restaurant and we all enjoyed our meal, the service, and the restaurant. The evening was a success and we will return and do recommend this restaurant to others.
Great meal. We had appetizers and pizza. The beef carpaccio was great. Very fresh and tasty as were the grilled artichokes. Also had a pizza which was perfectly cooked with a thin crust. Will be back.
Great food, wine and service.
Fabulous food and incredible service from Vincent. I see another visit in my future.
The food was very good. I started with the tomato and basil soup and for my entré, a special of the day, ciopono. It was pretty good, but was late in coming. The waiter blamed the expediter. First the soup was long in coming. That would have been bearable on its own, but then the entrés were at least 15 minutes after the soup was gone. When I asked the waiter to check on our entrés he said that it was late because of the soup - it had to be fired again. To his defense, he did comp a glass of wine and said he would have comped the dessert had we ordered any.
William was an excellent wait staff. He is as friendly, efficient and gracious. Food was prepared beautifully and tasted great.
Our party of 4 had a great experience. The location is great. Drinks, food, and dessert were all excellent. I would recommend this place and return when back in Santa Fe.
We ate outside so there was some road noise. Wait staff was not as available as I would have expected at a restaurant at this level.
Fantastic food! Very happy we visited. Our waitress got slammed with new tables all at once, one of which was quite demanding. She did a terrific job!
Special occasion service excellent food very tasty especially veal ravioli and gniocchi. Love this place never disappoints.
Mediocre food- no value factor at all. Sitting outside and there is the rubbish smell too. Artichokes were inedible- tough and cold. Pizza was ok
But nothing that separates this place from other restaurants
Very good food and service. Very reasonable wine prices for quality wine. Would definitely go back.
Four of us had a delightful dinner. A great bottle of French rose, followed by Faux Gras and then the main course, elk steaks prepared really well. Our waiters were extremely nice.
Delicious food, great service. I had lobster ravioli and it was perfect.
Wonderful service and food.
My husband and I go eat at Osteria every time we are in Santa Fe, love it and would highly recommended it!
The salad was good. The server touted a new item on the menu rack of lamb which was average. The drinks were good but overpriced. The dessert was excellent. The coffee was hot and strong. The service by William was a bit slow but very pleasant.
We stop here every time we are in Santa Fe. Excellent!
Delicious meal, cozy atmosphere, delightful service, nice price tag, would definitely return.
Five of us and the hostess was friendly and courteous. We had to wait a bit for our table to be set up, no big deal as we got to catch of glimpse of Shirley MacLaine as she came in for dinner. Our waiter was the perfect combination of helpful and friendly and gave good suggestions. Food was great and we had a little hiccup with one of the orders and they took care of the issue right away and the chef sent dessert as an apology which we thought was a very nice gesture.
We love having dinner at Osteria. Great food at fair prices and a popular locals destination. The caramel gelato is delicious.
I had never been to Osteria D'Assisi before. I had made a reservation at another Santa Fe restaurant that was cancelled due to some fire damage. I then made a reservation at Osteria. It is a convenient setting, a bit away from the crowds of the Plaza area. There are inside and outdoor tables. I noticed several interesting special of the board by the entrance. (I had already seem several interesting dishes on the restaurant's website.) It was a busy Saturday evening, but never seemed crowded or rushed. The service was attentive. My starter salad was very good and I ordered the soft shelled crab special. It came with two good-sized and meaty crabs and a side of pasta with vegetables. The crabs were perfectly prepared and the pasta was abundant and delicious. A nice espresso with the piano music completed a very nice evening.
It was my husband's birthday and I noted that on the Open Table website. Restaurant personnel typically wish the guest a happy birthday and sometimes put a candle on a course. Nothing.
My husband's seafood pasta was not fresh and he didn't finish it. My lamb ragu was tasty, but I nearly broke a tooth on a bone that should not have been there. The chef's response, via the server, was "sorry!"
As we were leaving, no one acknowledged our departure.
Not the best dining experience.
Wow! Osteria is usually very good. But this time they were great! I had the saltimbocca and it was one of the best I’ve had. The special stuffed pasta and shrimp was the choice of three in our party and they loved it. The mushroom soup was top notch as were the Caesar salads. Attentive service and knowledgeable staff added to the evenings success. A little too lively in the room we were in, but most liked it the way it was. Fun evening.
It was a prom date. It was so amazing. The waiter was so friendly to me and my boy. It made us feel welcomed and cared for. The live music was amazing. The food was so so amazing and delicious. Keep it up
Lovely dining experience, would definitely recommend. Authentic Italian pasta, home made, delicious! Owners originally from Lake Como, glad they came to Santa Fe with their cuisine.
Celebrating our birthdays with a good friend was delightful. Lovely, delicious pasta, salad and gazpacho was perfect!
Puerto was an outstanding waiter and made the evening highly enjoyable. Food and service was great. Atmosphere was perfectly Santa Fe.
We had the lasagna and ravioli. Food was delicious and our waiter David provided great service.
Great food, great service, friendly staff and generous portions. The chicken parm with fresh pasta was great. My wife had the special pasta with mussels, shrimp, and fish. She loved it.
Great service , we received table in location we requested - appreciated
Lovely location for Easter Sunday lunch.
We have always enjoyed Osteria D’ Osteria, however, on this night Osteria did not have their act together. Table was only partially set with a tray left on one seat and silverware missing at one place. Pizza delivered was not the one ordered. Violinist played too loud. Overall, a major disappointment.
We went for my mom’s 75th Birthday. The restaurant was hot. My son’s salad was barely dressed. No one in our party enjoyed their entree. Disappointing for sure.
Great Italian cuisine in the heart of Mexican and New Mexican restaurants. A great find
My wife and I decided to dine at Osteria D'Assisi while in Sante Fe and we had a mixed experience. After being seated our server provided us with the information on the specials of the evening. My wife decided to try the Halibut special which she said was amazing. I started with a mixed greens salad which was very fresh and the dressing was very light and very good. I decided to try the linguine with seafood and I've ordered that meal on many occasions at Italian restaurants as we've traveled throughout the country. When our server brought the meal it was somewhat disapponting as the home made linguine wasn't as good as I thought it should be.......it seemed to be a little tough and the garlic lemon white wine sauce had a different flavor than I anticipated. I found a bottle of Vermentino on the wine list which complemented our meals very well. After finishing our meals I thought I would have dessert which I don't often do. I do enjoy gelato and they had a vanilla gelato on the dessert menu which I ultimately ordered. When our server brought it the chef had drizzled chocolate all over it which completely ruined the dessert.........I am not a chocolate fan and had our server mentioned the dessert came with a chocolate drizzle I would have told him not to add it. I shared the dessert with my wife and fortunately she ate the gelato with the chocolate on it. I think we would go back to this restaurant the next time we're in Santa Fe but I would certainly order something different.
We had a party of 10 people. They were extremely accommodating and the service was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The food was great too!
