Osteria D' Assisi
We had a great time for a family of 3 at this relaxed Italian food gem. So far, one of our best servers in Santa Fe, she brought great energy to the table. The food was perfect and easy for a family who didn't want to go hard core fine dining. It was certainly a romantic place for couples. The wine selection was well thought out and versatile for those who want to go a little farther. Ask for "Gabriella" she was outstanding and made the dining experience exceptional!
Our first time there, we enjoyed the service and the food was great. We will be back again.
Great food, great atmosphere, and great service! I highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent Valentines Day special menu. Food was delicious and better prices than most other venues of equal quality.
We eat here a few times every year and have never been disappointed. This visit was also very good, but the service was a little slow compared our last few visits. The food was great as always. Overall it was a very pleasant meal.
We come here often. Service is always great. Wine selection awesome and food good, probably the best Italian you will get in the SW.
Great food. Plenty of it. Prefixes menu for Valentine's day. Great choices. The lamb shank was very tender. Not cheap at $65/PP but everything was lovely. One of the better restaurants in Santa Fe.
The best best place to have a great dinner and enjoy a evening best friendly staff in Santa Fe
Had a wonderful time. Staff was great and the food was tops. Bit noisy, but not excessive.
We usually love this restaurant but tonight was not that great. Service was incredibly slow and food was tasteless. Might be the last time for us.
The best staff ever always have a great great time
We celebrated a birthday and everything was perfect. The food was excellent and we were seated in a relatively quiet place. As requested. Everybody was happy, especially the birthday girl. Love the neighborhood feel of this place!
I always think I’ll have a better meal here than I do, because it feels so good to be there. The $18 tortellini appetizer was gloppy and ridiculous. The veal and mushroom ravioli dish was delicious. The veal Marsala was greasy, poorly seasoned, tough—and expensive. Better Italian a block away at I’ll Piato or Andiamo a few blocks away.
very pleasant surroundings and good service. Isaac was very attentive. My main dish, carpaccio, was stuck to the plate--likely had been in the fridge for hours. Our seafood pasta was drowned in a thin white sauce. Wine was good. my creme brûlée was cloying and sticky; also cold. Not great food, pretty high prices. Folks in the bar at 5:30 seemed to be having a good time.
The most friendly staff around
Disappointing brunch. 2 out of 5 dishes for our table were lousy. The eggplant Parmesan was clearly from the night before, it wasn’t even heated all the way through. My lasagna also had a cool center. When we told the waitress about the eggplant Parmesan she didn’t respond, just took the plate away. Won’t be going back.
Love the live entertainment and level of service! The food was also amazing.
Excellent food and service! Pietro, the owner, was an extra special treat! He comes to your table and is so gracious.
Lovely atmosphere and great food and wine! Waiter wS delightful! The place is cozy and quiet so easy to visit with table mates.
Our first time back in about 6 months and after the meal we asked ourselves why did we wait so long to go back. Everything was great: the food, the service, the room. While not cheap it is worth every penny to eat here.
Me and my husband just moved to New Mexico from New Jersey about 6 months ago. In New Jersey, it’s not hard to find a great Italian place. I booked a reservation for Osteria for my birthday because of the great reviews it got and honestly I’m tired of all the New Mexican food. Osteria exceeded my expectations! My husband got clams and muscles to start (his first time getting seafood in NM) and he said it was amazing. He got the veal and mushroom raviolis for dinner and I got the chicken parm with lemon garlic pasta. Both dishes were so so good and they were the perfect portions. The thing that made me the happiest was the tiramisu. Oh my god was it delicious. Overall I would highly suggest coming here. I’m so happy that I picked this place for my birthday dinner.
We ate early and were not bothered to rush. Good food and good service.
We loved the restaurant in every regard. Food was very good. We’ve already made ou next reservation.
Thank you, Simona, for taking care of us again! And congratulations on your US citizenship!
Wonderful Champagne and Oysters, branzino and pasta!!
I was treated to lunch here by a friend, and this was my first visit to Osteria D'Assisi. I loved the cozy adobe with warm golden walls, and the quiet atmosphere that permitted easy conversation. Our server was attentive and helpful. My friend wanted something she'd seen on the online menu that was not on the day's menu, and the kitchen made it for her specially. My margherita pizza was in the Neapolitan style and was tasty and generous with the basil, though the crust was a little bit tougher than that tender ideal. My side salad was OK, nothing special, and contained some rotted bits of lettuce that, at home, I am careful to sort out of my mixed-greens boxes. I really loved the room, and will go back for lunch in the future.
One of us has dietary restrictions, and the server and kitchen staff worked creatively on addressing those with no fuss. The cocktails and wine were excellent too.
Love this local favorite!! The Italian cuisine is made w/ the freshest ingredients. Wait staff is friendly & professional.
My pasta dish did not mention cream as an ingredient, and as such, it was a bit heavy for my taste. My dad raved about the Osso Buco though.
We were very impressed with our experience from Mae our server to the delicious food. It was our first time there and we look forward to going back.
Food was top-of-the-line even their pizzas were great. Atmosphere wonderful wine selection great had a problem with the bill and waiter but manager made it all right. Very positive and good experience
Wonderful evening eating wonderful food. Easy to talk with others at the table. A thoroughly lovely evening.
We came on a bitter cold night with just the older members of our family. The younger ones opted to stay and have pizza at the hotel. They later regretted it!
What a fabulous nite! The service was impeccable, the food magnificent, and the night, a memorable event! Thank you for our great Italian experience in a Chile loving city!
Our waiter was exceptional and I’m sorry we can’t remember his name, but he made a great impression on all of us. Please add him to our critique, if it’s going to be printed!!!
Great start to our New Year!
Friends from Alabama!
What a fun evening! Impeccable service, wonderful special soup (seafood bisque) and all the entrees were very much enjoyed. Bustling happy atmosphere on New Year's Day too.
We have celebrated New Years three times here and enjoyed it always. Pietro and his brother always want to make people happy. The live music and New Years festivities are nice and just a short walk to Plaza if you can brave the cold on NYE.
Paid $130 per person for a three course menu, that would cost on a normal day not more then 60.
Food was good, but was disappointed by the value. Had better experiences the year before.
Fish was over cooked and price was far too high for the quality of the meal. New Year’s Eve fixed price. Poor value.
When you pay over $100 for a meal with drinks for two people, you don't expect to be bombarded with noisy children and babbling women that sound like hens in a henhouse throughout your dining experience. The food is fairly good, but the whole place is done in hardwood floors and the tables are close together so if you want a pleasant ambiance, go somewhere else.
Just a wonderful meal with family.
We were in Santa Fe enjoying a break between Christmas and New Years. Through Open Table found this restaurant.
Very wonderful experience, great food and service. We enjoyed appetizers before our meal and cocktails and vino.
Very extensive wine list, to satisfy all price points and taste preferences.
Highly recommend and we’ll return next time we’re in Santa Fe.
