Super expensive and not worth it! Service wasn’t amazing either
And St Joseph’s Day pasta and pastry.
Great service, delicious food. Enjoyed a great Sunday night meal. Love the complimentary sides served with the fresh bread.
The food experience was decent. I had fresh pasta with shrimp and lobster special The place
For food, I’d give this restaurant 5 stars. The food was well cooked and well plated, adding to the overall ambiance of the restaurant.
The only issue I have is between the restaurant and their reservation staff. I informed the woman I spoke with on their reservation line, and in my opentable reservation, that I was coming in for a 50th birthday. When I walked to check in, the hostess said something along the lines of “thank you for coming to celebrate your day.” The waiter was not told of our conversation, and when we ordered dessert there was no fanfare or candle or anything. I was so disheartened at the fact that we weren’t placed as a priority, as there was another birthday in the room and we were just left as a normal dessert order. We wouldn’t have ordered desserts had we known there would be no celebration. The reason we specified in the reservation that we were coming for such a milestone birthday was so we would get some kind of fanfare, which we would have been happy to pay for. Communication is key, and when I told the server he was apologetic but nothing was done post that. There was no offer to incentivize us fo return, and honestly based on the service vs the amount of money I spent I’m not sure if it was worth it.
The service was great and I had the best swordfish steak I've ever eaten, hands down. The restaurant is pretty but it's way too loud. If you're a foodie who requires NO conversation, this is the place.
The place is too noisy and too expensive! ... and the food was average.
Pomgranate Martini is a keeper. Food was good, not overly spiced (which is a common mistake). Food is a bit pricey! Yes, I will visit again.
Food ,service, and drinks were very good. Great long list of specials, which my husband and I both chose from. Our server Matt was great. Our table was a little too close for comfort to the ones next to us so it was a bit distracting when trying to enjoy a nice night out. Would definitely recommend the fish specials (though a little pricey at $42 per plate) , but pass on dessert. We ordered the zeppolis which were a complete disappointment- were hard as a rock and we didnt even eat them. Despite that I would definitely choose this spot again for a nice meal out.
All of our dishes were extremely salty and it was so loud difficult to hear conversations. It was very expensive so was expecting better. The dessert was delicious though.
I like to go here because I crave the food I need to try new things but am so hooked on my same order because it taste excellent. I highly recommend trying Ostaria for a nice atmosphere and cool place to go
Excellent dinner with family at Osteria. Ridiculously good meatball apps, calimari, lobster lasagna, steak, pasta etc. Service was impeccable. This is a great restaurant with fair prices for outstanding food.
We had a great experience all three times we have eaten here. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. We will be back for sure!
Excellent dining ........
Waiter was asked for chicken scarpariello, only dark meat. Received white meat. When waiter was asked why I wasn’t consulted before order was placed, waiter shrugged his shoulders and said that chef would’t Do dark meat only. Should have advised before placing order. Waiter not attentive to meal service and guest satisfaction to meal, wine service, etc. Was too busy hustling his tables to show any concern. Was in room to be used for music and bottle service after 9:30 pm. Rear doors were opened as staff tore down tables and band set up. It was cold and noisy, but no one was concerned how it impacted our table for four. Bill was $300. We should have been approached with some concern about our dining experience, but management and staff were too busy getting set for the next round of suckers!
Everything was outstanding from appetizer to dinner and dessert. Great service!
Went here for B-day party dinner for daughter and her cousins, nine people in total. Everyone found the food and service to be great. Would highly recommend this restaurant to all. My only ding on value was the $12 charge for a Tanquery and tonic and the $12 Tito's and club. But... that won't stop me from returning as my overall experience and that of the others was great!
First time having eating at this restaurant and overall we were pleased, and would recommend to others
I had the pounder pork . It was very good and would recommend it. Wanted to take leftover home. When I got home I founderstand they had cut it off the bone. I really wanted the bone.
When I eat here I crave a few things on the menu if you like fish the bronzino is the best I ever had. The artichoke appetizer is amaZing and available any time of the year. I like to change up my salads depending on what I am in the mood for every salad has its own unique taste. It's one of the only places where I know what I want before I arrive.
We have enjoyed our last few meals there but pricey.
Our dinner was delicious . Food spectacular especially the shrimp and calamari . I had the pappadela with mushrooms and others the sea bass and the gnocchi. No complaints and the Nutella pizza for dessert was a great thing to share.
Had a family dinner here celebrating our twin. The atmosphere was energetic the moment we walked in. Had cocktails at the bar and enjoyed conversation with the family as well at the staff and other patrons. Was seated at a spacious table for nine. Started with appetizers that included the usual favorites and some special things you don't always see on the menu. My favorites were the fried artichokes and the stuffed peppers. Dinner selections also included a wide array of choices but not overwhelming. Pasta is all fresh which I loved. Service was great. We spent several hours and did not feel rushed at all. Went through a few bottles of wine, dessert and coffee. Price was great. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone who enjoys Italian food. Will be back soon.
Very nice experience- the wait staff was very attentive and the food was very good.
Always amazing food, impeccable service and great atmosphere. You can come her for an Italian feast, top of the line angus beef, or a glass of wine and an artisan pizza. Never disappoints !
I hadn't been to Osteria in over a year, but I needed a special occasion restaurant very close to Freehold. The food was the best it's ever been, the service was cheerful, and the anniversary couple and their special guests were very happy.
We enjoyed our first visit to Osteria Cucina and will definitely return. Portions were ample, service was great, and the quality of the food was tasty and fresh.
We went there because we had a gift card to use. The place is very nice inside. Reminds me of a restaurant in NYC. Tables are a little too close together & it's pretty noisy. My major complaint is regarding the cost of the Porterhouse Steak for 2. It was one of the specials but our waiter did tell us that it cost $110. Ok so we went with it. I have to say it was good but definitely not worth $110. Way over priced. Also, I ordered the polenta as an appetizer. It was so soupy I had to use a spoon to eat it. Very tasty but also very soupy. I have never had polenta like that before. We ended up spending $200 and that's without dessert. All in all, it's a good restaurant but way overpriced for the area
I had not been back here for over 3 years but on the recommendation of a friend I tried it again. Simply I was disappointed. The menu is extensive and perhaps this is the issue. I kept it simple with the squid for an appetizer and the really simple spaghetti with olive oil and pepper. The squid was ok as it should have been a bit softer but I was confused in why it was served with mashed potatoes. The simple pasta was all pepper and more pepper and too dry. It was no where near how the dish is served in Tuscany. If you want ok you will have no problem.
Price was right but the food did not live up to the expectations. Food was dry and not hot. pasta was dry did not have enough of sauce. Had to ask for additional sauce and they only brought a little cup for three people to share.
Our party of six family members chose to sit outdoors on a beautiful Sunday afternoon - big mistake because we couldn't hear each other over the loud music. I asked the waiter twice to please lower the volume to no avail. The waiter kept referring to my 16 year old daughter as "babe" or "beautiful" - again annoying and took away from our experience. The food was good to very good except for the over priced steak. That cut of steak is no where near a $75 value. It is a $35 value, no more. Overall - with all the choices of restaurants in the area we will not return to Osteria.
Love special nights at Osteria Cucina. We sat outside where there was live music and had an amazing steak, that pizza that you can't beat and some wine. It was just lovely. We love the pasta there too but you can get an unforgettable steak here. One of my favorite places for a summer night meal.
Great place to have small family birthday parties and enjoy food at the same time.
Food and service were good but nothing special and not at all worth the price.
Excellent dining experience all around the polenta appetizer was outstanding . The specials were one better than the other . Will definitely return and reccomend
Service was poor but the owner provided us with a gift card and assured us that next time we come in service would be good.
The other tables around us were provided with decent service but this particular waiter did not provide the service we have had in the past. It was disappointing because the food is very good and the place is on the more expensive side.
Excellent Italian food and amazing steaks. Service is great as well.
Food is always exceptional even if not having steak. Girls had lobster gnocchi and we had Porterhouse for 2. the Nutella and cannolli cream zeppolis are a must for dessert.
