   We reserved a table for 12. It was way too cramped, having two place settings in an area of 22 inches. The female, dark haired, heavy set manager was called. She was arrogant, divisive, and totally rude. The very good waiter saved the day, arranging the adjacent table once the customers had left. The food was mediocre, but the manager sealed the occasion by her nastiness. I doubt that our monthly group will meet there again in the near future. She needs retraining. Shame on this restaurant group for hiring such a shrew.

   Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Consistently one of my favorite dining spots in Wilmington.

   Made reservations a week in advance. Stated was for birthday celebration. Seating was in a main thoroughfare. No acknowledge of birthday. Poor customer service for price.

   We (2) dropped in for an unhurried dinner after arriving in town after a long day in the car. Osteria Cicchetti is n accessible large, central storefront in an upscale strip mall. We were promptly seated, the staff were all pleasant people; we had an enthusiastic young waitress and plenty of wait staff. We were seated in the huge main room with a view of kitchen. There is also a big side room plus a large and loud bar area. The atmosphere is lively with limited lighting. They offer a full wine list, the appetizers and menu are nearly exhaustive and Italian - this is a place to languish with friends, although costs add up. Our drinks, calamari, and the veal and fish entrees were very good and service was attentive. We had no complaints. We are still in the exploratory stages of our move to near Wilmington, so everything is a new experiment. We had a bit more travel after the meal, so we limited our time, alcohol and food volumes. However, recycling back to Osteria is quite likely.

   Server kept referring to me as her friend. Food was nothing special veal was tough clam sauce tasted like lemon. Entrees came out while we were still eating our appitzers had to send them back and our server did not know that we sent them back.

    Our waitress never smiled the whole hour and 1/2 we were there. The Caesar dressing tasted like mayonnaise. When we walked in, we smelled the wonderful smell of garlic, but the food didn't have much taste at all. Our reservation was perfectly honored, though.
