AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME... EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT covers it all... in EVERY sense ❤️
Had a 330 reservation. Service was average as we may have come during a change in shifts. Had to ask for refills on drinks.
We have enjoyed this restaurant often in the past, but I feel the level of service has declined as well as the attention to detail. My mother and I ordered our filets medium and medium rare - both came out well done - not even pink inside! When one pays $44 for a steak, one would like to think it will be prepared properly. We told our server but she did nothing about it. We also asked to take some vegetables home with us but she neglected to put them in our take home bag.
I may rethink about dining here again given the distance we drive to get there.
Service was very slow.
Had a very enjoyable, delicious meal. Could not ask for better service or atmosphere. This was a wedding gift. Felt like a honeymoon.
We really enjoyed our meal! The flavors of the food were fabulous!
beautiful upscale restaurant in charming countryside. Leola is a very short drive from the tourist heart of Lancaster county. Interesting menu is a welcome relief from local fare.
Service was very good. There were two wedding receptions happening on the night of our visit; our experience was not impacted at all. Our food came out promptly, actually too promptly as our entree arrived seconds after salad course.
We shared a local cheese plate with pretzels, beautiful fresh fruits and mustard, a mixed green salad with shrimp, tomato, dates and mandarin orange and fresh pasta with cheeses and cracked pepper. My husband had a side of sautéed mushrooms and I ordered broccoli rabe with anchovies and garlic. Portions were large.
This is a gem and well worth the lovely drive if you’re visiting Intercourse area.
This is by far the finest restaurant in the area and once you enjoy its cuisine and exceptional staff and ambiance it will be among your favorites anywhere. The Chef is amazing, the menu is diverse and every item is made with love and excellence. The risottos are exquisite, the pastas prepared to perfection and entrees are mouth watering. Sit in a beautiful Tuscany influences room and be waited upon by those who real care about your experience.
Prices are terrific and I can assure you - you will not want to leave and you will be back again and again.
Wonderful time at a cozy restaurant with fantastic foods. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely be back.
They were renovating when we were there so limited seating but the food more than made up for it. From the appetizer to dessert everything was exceptional. We will definitely be returning.
The food is excellent as well as the atmosphere. Unfortunately both times I have made reservations they were messed up. But I will continue to go back for the food!
It was our first time there and it was a great meal. The food was delicious. We will return again.
This time around, disappointing. I ordered the chicken salad plate, that was served with fresh fruit, with the emphasis on "fresh." The strawberries were indeed fresh, but the pears were mushy and apparently from a can. The chicken salad was tasteless. I've had better chicken salad from a supermarket deli. We were not offered coffee nor dessert. There was no offer of a refill for a soda. It was only when the bill was brought that we asked if we could see a dessert menu. It was definitely overpriced for what we got. Most likely will not go back.
The food was wonderful! There was issues in the kitchen . The server that we started with left after taking our drink order. Never came back for 45 min. The later server who waited on us to the end of dinner did very well. Some of our servers we had. Need to be updated on personality and positive attitude towards customers. Especially having a rating as your hotel has.
Great food - the arancini, penne with beef-cheek rage and orecchiette with Italian sausage were amazing. Service was a little slow, but as long as you are relaxed, it’s not a problem.
Very cozy dining experience while eating in front of the fireplace. Our server Alisandro was excellent and very attentive. Our meals were amazing. Other than lag times between courses the night was exceptional.
Alessandro delivered stellar service & the food was fabulous, as always! The filet mignon was delicious & the beef cheek penne remains my favorite, paired with the Aglianico. Thx so much! We’ll return!
Ate at this hotel restaurant due to bad weather and did not feel like venturing out. So glad we did. Food and service outstanding.
Very inviting dining room with lovely decor. We were there at a less busy time so we could enjoy the quiet environment. Our server, Matt, was very prompt yet considerate of time we needed to order. Our entrees and dessert was excellent, and the decaf coffee brewed well.
Only complaint was the bread which neither of us liked. We are very familiar with Italian bread having visited Italy many times but this bread was very sour and way too salty.
I would definitely make reservations again as the overall experience was wonderful.
Great food and great service! Can’t wait to go back
Went for a dinner with friends. Great cocktails and wines. All of our entrees were exceptional.
It was a very disappointing experience- it took 35 minutes to get water and a bottle of wine - obviously short staffed with one server...
entrees also took a long time and were mediocre.
Nice bar and bartender though.
Valentines day dinner. At first we were seated in a very brightly lit room with a rocking table and in front of a huge mirror....upon requesting a new table we were taken to a more authentic Italian decor room with nice ambience.
I’ll never go back
Quite small but very cozy. The table by the fireplace was very nice. Our server was excellent. We enjoyed our entree but the asparagus and gelato were disappointing. Pricey.
lovely intimate spot with great drinks and creative dishes!
The bar/lounge area is just beautiful with a display of the history of the property. The restaurant itself has limited seating but was lovely and has enough space to not feel like you are on top of each other. The food as amazing. Fresh and tasty! I had the filet, it was cooked to perfection. Our server was excellent. Well informed, attentive and friendly. We will be back....
I went here for my 10 year anniversary. Loooved the atmosphere. Our waiter was fantastic as well.
We started with the lemon drop martini, the saint cocktail (can’t remember the exact name), and bruschetta. Then, for dinner, we had the tenderloin tips and fettuccine. For our second round of cocktails we had the Italian margarita and strawberry lemonade martini. Then we finished off with their cheesecake and chocolate torte.
I really loved all the drinks and the fettuccine (pictured) that I had for dinner. Literally one of the best meals I’ve ever had.
The menu we had was a bit different than the one online and had fewer cocktail options, so based on the menu they gave us, my boyfriend would have liked a few more cocktail options. However, he really enjoyed the bruschetta and tenderloin tips.
I wasn’t in love with the cheesecake, but if you’re a chocolate lover, the chocolate torte was made for you. Very rich.
I would definitely go here again. We had a great experience. Just beware some of the items are a bit pricey, but there’s enough variety that you don’t have to spend a ton of money if you don’t want to.
Our meals were delicious as always! Service was good and the Osteria Avanti ambience can’t be beat. Their wine selections are great but they are very high priced. Unfortunately they have done away with their house wines which were very good and a bit more affordable.
The restaurant had to modify our reservation shortly after we made it and I was grateful they were accommodating. Further, they sent free prosecco to make amends. Allesandro was lovely especially with one of our fellow diners who has Celiac disease. Along with 2 entrees and a dinner salad we ordered every side dish and were so pleased. But the risotto is the stuff dreams are made of!!!!! Would chef share the secret to why it is so good?
The service was outstanding and the waiter was phenomenal. He made the Birthday Celebration spectacular!
Nothing memorable about this restaurant at all. Food lacks any creativity. Wine is limited . Service is adequate.
I had read previous reviews about the restaurant having good food with a nice ambiance, but having poor service due to understaffing. I figured we'd give it a try since it was New Year's Eve and a few of my first choices were already booked. Plus I thought maybe it was just that particular day/evening. Well, it was exactly the case. We walked in and stood at the hostess stand for 10 mins while two bartenders waited on two men at the bar and two servers flew past carrying food. I would have left had it not been NYE and the idea of driving somewhere else with the possibility of not being able to get a table. Finally one of the servers asked if anyone had helped us. He then took us to a table, where we waited for water and bread. It was 30 mins after being seated that we were served our appetizer. It had taken so long I was afraid our food would come out before the appetizer. We finally decided to try to relax and just enjoy the ambiance (which we loved) and each others company. This helped as the total time we were there from being seated to paying for the bill was two hours. So if you're not in a hurry and don't mind watching the server do everything from seat guests to bus tables to check coats, this is a great dining spot. If you're too type A or in a hurry, steer clear.
Food was very good and our waitress was very nice and was constantly moving, however they seemed understaffed which caused us to not see our waitress and not have water for most of our meal. My husband ordered a side dish of Brussels sprouts that never came, although when we finally saw our waitress again (only because a man from another table who also had her, got up because he was waiting for water and the check and got super upset and went to find her), we were offered two free desserts to make up for it. They also had 90’s/2000’s club music playing in the background which didn’t really fit the ambiance.
Food was just so so salad not good main meal was very good
Hard to make,a reasonable assessment since it was Christmas. Despite a 5 pm reservation, no table ready, and appatently walk-ins were taking preference over reservations. We arrived 4:58 so no excuses for that. Very limited choices for entrees. Very noisy dining room. Next yr. we will opt for a more intimate and better organized venue with more variance in choices. Incidentally, identical menu to Christmas day 2017.
Exceptional service by Alex and
Exceptional food by the culinary team!
Absolutely love Osteri Avanti! Wish we lived closer - it would be a frequent haunt! Will look forward to the next time!
Delicious food. Staff aim to please and boy do they. Can be as quiet and intimate as you want or lively around the bar. Unique experience with exquisite food!!
