Osteria Avanti Ratings and Reviews
Was surprised at how great this dining experience was! I live in an area with lots of great restaurants but this was one of best meals we have ever had. Kim, our waitress was so pleasant and knowledgeable about all of the dishes and wine selections. Great place with great staff!
It was a nice evening. We were greeted immediately, and sat at the bar. The drinks were well made. We were seated timely. Service was slow but pleasant and polite. Food was also just good, nothing special. The ambience was very nice, quiet. We actually had conversations at the table and could hear without yelling.
The drive out was beautiful and well worth it.
We sat at the bar for dinner due to the fact we thoroughly enjoyed the bartender Sean’s pairings and recommendations. We enjoyed one evening of cocktails and appetizers. And the next evening dinner and drinks.
The only negative I have is that I can’t bring a gallon of the mushroom risotto home.
First time . Wife's birthday. I enjoy spicy food and this fit the bill; would have been too spicy for some (ie., nacho lovers, but hold the jalepeños please). Wine recommendation was an EXCELLENT call for my particular dish. Wife's food was outstanding also. Swordfish (which I do not like, but after a bite, I would order myself next time), and her wine also fit the bill. A little pricey, but the walk around the property before and then the meal made for a very nice evening.
Really over rated and believe me there are much better restaurants close by. For example, Gracie's is about a 3 minute walk up the street and blows this place away in ALL regards. That includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Gracie's isn't fancy; just terrific.
We were in Lititz for a memorial service, and I was looking for a restaurant where we could get together with a few family members. Open Table is always my go-to app, and I found Osteria Avanti. We were absolutely delighted with its quaint location and wonderful ambiance. All 7 of us enjoyed our meals from the salads through desert. We will definitely return the next time we're back in the area.
Stayed at hotel and dined there on Friday and Saturday evening. Weddings were taking place elsewhere on the property so it was not busy at all. Server was friendly and very knowledgable. Was unable to decide between two different wines, so she let me taste each one. Food was creative and tasty. Liked that they offer small plates as an option. Martinis were outstanding. Will definitely return!
We are staying at Leola Village for our anniversary and naturally had to try one of the restaurants on the property. We were very excited. It was a Wednesday evening and there wasn't a soul in the place. It was like that for the rest of the evening. Our server was attentive and friendly! We started with a cheese plate which we believe could have been jazzed up. It was simple sliced cheese and meats on a plate. I had a Caesar salad before my meal that was small and simple where as my husband had the meatball sliders to which he loved! We both had mojitos for drinks and they were the best mojitos we ever had! The mint was so fresh so it made the drink much more refreshing. I had the carbonara for dinner and my husband had the swordfish. He loved his fish and the vegetable risotto whereas my carbonara left me wanting something more. We decided that dessert might work and our waitress was kind enough to suggest her favorite walnut cake with blood orange gelato and it was superb!!! Overall, our meal was good and it was very worth the price! It was a nice evening out!
Nice, cozy atmosphere for a special occasion. Since the restaurant it not large, parties should not exceed 4 people. We were having a nice dinner conversation & enjoying our meal until a party of 8 was seated right next to us- too close- literally within arms reach of us. They were very loud, boisterous & complained about whatever package they had for their meal. It was nothing short of obnoxious & I felt sorry for the poor waitress that was left to handle them. We skipped dessert because of this & paid the bill in cash so we could get out of there. Overall, we enjoyed our visit -the food was delicious & the portions very generous. Worth the trip to Leola.
My friends and I had a lovely dinner here on Thursday evening, after a drink at the bar. Food was excellent. Several of us had the filet mignon, very tender and properly cooked. Beef tips were also a big hit, as was the pasta. Service is well-paced and friendly. Restaurant is small and cozy, beautifully decorated in Italian decor. We also had a wonderful breakfast here the next morning. They were testing their menu breakfast so we had an opportunity to try it instead of the buffet. Highly recommended. The buffet, though, is also very good. Nice selections and delicious.
This was a wonderful experience of their Italian food. However, I was a bit surprised at the limited "Italian" selections on the menu being it was an Osteria. That said, my husband & I went for the pasta. He selected the penne with pork cheek (guanciale) ragu with a dusting of dark chocolate. The quanciale ragu was wonderfully rich and the light dusting of chocolate created a very, very slight end sweet taste. It was absolutely delicious. I have orechietti with pesto sauce, sausage and small bit of red chili flakes. I LOVE pesto and this was THE BEST I've ever tasted. Make sure you toss the pasta with the sauce to ensure the heat of the meal blends it all together. I don't know what is in this pesto but it was stupendous. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. It is small, so make a reservation. We can't wait to go there again---we hear the french fries are to die for!
Food was good, however the pork chops with a date/orange/garlic pesto glaze while cooked perfectly tasted only of orange. I have a fairly discerning pallet and still was unable to taste the chop or any of the advertised flavors. The caramelized brussel sprouts with spicy Italian sausage were fantastic. The trio of gelati are house made and taste it.
We had Christmas Dinner Here. Friends highly recommended it, and stayed at the inn and ate here before. We were so glad they suggested this place. Exceptional in every way. The décor was beautiful, fireplace was on, table were not too close to each other, felt elegant but not stuffy. Casual and dressy work together at same time. Amanda, the server, was amazing - vibrant, cheerful, friendly and very accommodating. The chef and their preparations were quite amazing. We both had the filet mignon, and it was perfectly done, and presented in a great plate presentation, veggies were fresh and perfectly cooked. The pastry chef also did an quite amazing job. Homemade pastries and homemade gelato. Expect to pay (a bit pricey) but well worth the expense for the perfect experience. Easily one of the top 5 fine dining experiences we have ever had anywhere. Worth the drive.
