Celebrated our first anniversary here and had a great time. Food and drinks were excellent and our server was wonderful.
I realize it is during COVID times. The tables were spaced out nicely. It could have used a little music to buffer other tables conversations. Food could have been a little hotter, appetizers were lukewarm. Server did a nice job and was attentive. My husbands steak was undercooked, he asked for it to be cooked a little more. They chose to cook him a new steak, which kept me waiting with my food getting cold. The steak they sent out as a replacement was noticeably a lesser quality cut of meat. Which was a disappointment,
Menu wasn't what was online . Was told they were open on Sunday for breakfast and they weren't.
The food was not the greatest for what it should be for the cost.
I’ve had Chilean sea bass before but this time it was definitely not the buttery delicious fish I’m used to. Also it was served with the skin on. Just disappointed. I think it may have been sea bass but not Chilean. The filet mignon was done nicely.
Amazing experience. Truthfully the best pasta dish I have ever had. They accommodated my request in the dish like it was no big deal being it was made fresh. Cannot wait to go back!!
Very nice restaurant with outdoor dining. The burger and fresh cut fries were great. Beer cold.
The shrimp pasta was amazing. Atmosphere is amazing.
Of course we were seated outside and then the rain came. But the staff was unaffected. Consummate professionals. The meal was perfect and we just had fun.
We had reservations, but when we got there, no seats ! They asked us if we minded to sit in an overflow room which had no ambiance whatsoever. Being a Sunday night raining in that area it only made sense to stay and make the best of it. If that wasn’t bad enough , the menu was literally about 25% of what was represented on line. The only reason we went there was based on the menu displayed on website. No pasta dish! No bread! It was my wife’s 60th birthday. We could have made reservations at any number of places. They were very cavalier about everything. They should understand we came from hours away as part of a weekend getaway and for them to just change the menu and not reserve our table was very disappointing. Service sucked we waited 30 minutes for our check. Food we ate was tasty though
You have to look at the overall experience and so even though the food we did end up ordering was tasty I will never return. My apologies
We enjoyed very much our dinner-great atmosphere
Presentation was nice. The chicken platter was decent but while my tenderloin tips were ok the rice, peppers and mushrooms with that entree were both greasy and mushy. Beautiful setting. Also they were coping with Covid restrictions.
Food and drinks were very good. Expected a little more from the service but still did a fine job.
Another wonderful meal at Osteria Avanti! Ordered the Filet MR and it was cooked perfectly. Delicious - thank you!
Great place..excellent food! The staff was amazing
Service and food were excellent! I think this might be one of our new favorite restaurants.
I was the only one in the dining room which felt strange.
We had a great meal! The outdoor seating was lovely - but getting full - so we were seated in a quiet room at a window. We had the place to ourselves except our wonderful server. He made a great wine recommendation and was attentive without being disruptive. All of the food was just fabulous. It was so nice to be out for dinner again! We will definitely return.
Wonderful atmosphere. We ordered 2 steaks that ended up being way overdone, but the service was very good.
This place was nice and quiet even though it was the 4th of July holiday.
The ambiance can't be blamed on the restaurant since it was still in Yellow Phase (Phase 2). We were outside, which was nice and the music wasn't loud (in a good way). The food was very good (the brussel sprouts with bacon and the tenderloin tips with mushroom risotto were delicious and great). The main reason I wouldn't give them five stars is more due to the waitress who was serving our table. One time, she tried to give us something we hadn't ordered. Another time, she said something on the dessert menu that wasn't on the menu at all. There weren't that many people that were dining (I think at most 6 other people were dining around the same time my friend and I were) so there shouldn't have been that much confusion and at times what felt like a long wait for service.
If based on everything but the wait staff and price (a little pricey, but I kind of knew heading there it wouldn't be cheap), it would be a 5. But a four is definitely reasonable.
Food was fabulous!!! I got the tenderloin tips with mushroom risotto. I've never had risotto before but this was so good, I was very pleased with my food and the service was also wonderful. Great! Great! Great!
Great value in comfortable environment. Recommend for a good meal.
Excellent service, delicious food - I would definitely go back again and again.
My wife and I enjoyed our food. It was a romantic getaway.
We often go to Osteria Avanti for special family occasions. We were married at The Inn and typically experience top notch service and excellent food; however, we were disappointed this visit (my husband’s birthday). Hopefully this will not become their norm because they are truly a local gem.
Food was OKAY, but not up to expectations with the exception of the mussels which were very good. The risotto w/ tenderloin tips was a bit ‘gluey’, the tips were over-cooked despite requests for medium rare, and we were hard-rested to find anchovies in our Caesar salad.
My boyfriend and I have dined at Osteria Avanti three times now, and it NEVER disappoints! The food is always delicious, plentiful, and we never have to wait very long. The wait staff is fantastic and attentive. We truly love coming to the Inn and eating at Osteria Avanti! We will definitely be back!
We must have gone on an off night. Usually everything is great, but Sunday night left something to be desired. Our server didn't check in on us thru out our meal to see if we needed drink refills of wanted to add anything to our meal like dessert. The food was good however they were sold of of the Olives and Almonds appetizer, very upsetting. Hopefully the next time will be back to what we expect from them.
The food was very good, the service was slow (only one waiter during a holiday weekend), and the poor hostess was working her absolute hardest to be helpful. I'm not sure if they had just changed their name but all the signs had the name of a completely different restaurant, which was strange. I would definitely come back, and I totally recommend staying at the Inn as well (it was perfect)!
The service was awful! 1 server for 9 tables. Unacceptable! Would not come back!
What a great find! The entire experience was lovely. From the moment we stepped in to the welcoming ambiance, greeted by cordial, professional staff till our departure we enjoyed a culinary delight. We were so impressed that we are planning a return to the Leola inn to spend the night and experience Te.
My review is heavily influenced by the pricing and past experience. My wife and I have stayed at Inn at Leola a few times and we’ve dined at this restaurant maybe three times. But I think the restaurant’s style of food changed. Not really sure but it used to be Italian. In the past the restaurant was very good. This time: appetizers good, soup all but cold, steak very average, veggie not tasty. Dessert was good. The decor to me seems austere and monkish. Waiter was very good. We were seated by the somewhat drafty door even though many interior tables were free. Basically, if it was $30 a plate I would probably be ok. But at nearly $60 a plate I just expect a lot better.
The seating for us was really weird. We were expecting a cozy table for 2. My husband sat on a bench seat and I was on a chair which was higher than he was. Which was awkward for us My steak was to be medium rare with no blood , and it had a lot of blood coming out of it. It was still moving. Didn't feel the size of the seabass was worth what we paid. The portion was not huge. We had requested the older gentleman to be our server and that didn't happen. Was disappointed overall.
Morgan made us a perfect espresso martini and Alejandro was an amazing server! We had such a nice dinner and can’t wait to come back for another meal.
Excellent service and food at a very reasonable price. The atmosphere was great.
EVERYTHING was EXCELLENT!!! Alexander was the perfect server (as were his suggestions) and the food was delicious! A perfect birthday celebration was had! I will continue to patronize this WONDERFUL restaurant!!!
Food and atmosphere was very good, same as the previous time we were here. It is a very small and intimate space, maybe 10 small tables in total. One of the guests was extremely loud, everyone else could hear everything being said; plenty of eye rolls going around. Not the fault of the restaurant, I understand, and little that can be done. It is what can be great, and also a curse when in such an intimate setting.
Before we arrived, we looked online at the menu options. There was also a menu listed in the room at Leola Inn, so we also looked at the printed menu there, and there were differences between those 2 menus. When we arrived and saw the actual menu at the restaurant, it too was different than the other 2 we had seen. This restaurant needs to learn document control, and to maintain symmetry in what they have out there. Additionally, in the room it is stated that dining guests must wear a jacket. That was not stated anywhere else, and there were exactly zero guests wearing a jacket when we dined.
We appreciate your feedback and are glad you enjoyed most elements of the dining experience. We have two restaurants at the Inn, and both menus, as well as a room service menu, are available in our hotel rooms. One restaurant, TE, is only open on Fridays and Saturdays. It's available by reservation only, and that restaurant requires gentleman to wear jackets. Our restaurants require some decision making prior to your visit, but we like to have variety for your second and third stay.
Fiancee and I went here for NYE, our meal was exquisite! Service was 5 stars and the ambiance was delightful. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Lancaster County!
Loved our dinner there. The only issue I had was actually finding it! Service was the best and the food was amazing. You will enjoy a nice dinner there!
We took my mother in law for Christmas dinner. The menu was limited. They put us in a cold bright banquet hall which was a real let down after eating in the regular restaurant a couple years ago for Mother’s Day. The food was good but the ambiance was horrible.

Yes, you can generally book this restaurant by choosing the date, time and party size on OpenTable. Due to local restrictions, this restaurant may not be accepting reservations at the moment.
