The food and service were delicious, as always. It was our 3rd time dining and we are never disappointed.
Excellent restaurant. We dined here while staying at the Inn that the restaurant is part of. Enjoyed our meal from start to finish. Reasonable prices. Quality food. Awesome service. Can’t say enough great things about it.
We got the calamari appetizer (sautéed, not fried) which was plenty to share and then some. Also the herbed focaccia bread brought to the table was delicious. We also tried the penne pasta dish - very good and hearty. We probably didn’t need to get entrees but we did - swordfish and the salmon. Both were fantastic. The gelato for dessert tasted more like an ice cream than gelato but it was still very good nonetheless. We would definitely recommend and return!
The only issue was water dripping on me during dinner from the air unit.
LOVED IT... What a gem we found. Wife and I were out and about and she suggested we tried and boy am I glad we did. If there were six stars for Osteria Avanti I would have scored it that high. Wonderful food and even better service from Alessandro (Sorry I probably butchered the spelling), We will go back for sure.
The food was a bit too salty, but besides that everything was amazing even the waitress was on point looked a little overwhelmed she was the only only until another person helped. I would highly recommend this place and definitely come back again
This was the second time we dined at this restaurant. We brought friends along with us. Everyone enjoyed their meal. It is not you typical Italian restaurant. They have some very good dishes to choose from. We enjoyed the mussels and antipasto. The salmon dish was excellent, as was the filet mignon and rigatoni dish. The service as always was outstanding. Just be prepared to wait a little bit as everything is made fresh. All I can say is bon appetit!!!
Excellent. Great food. Great ambiance. Great service. All 4 of us gave it 5 stars.
The atmosphere was a perfect backdrop for our anniversary dinner. The wait staff was attentive and gracious. However, we were disappointed with our entrees. They were good but definitely not outstanding.
Service was good, our waitress was very nice. Food left something to be desired, especially for the price. Meatball sliders were cold in the center and had too strong of a fennel taste. Gazpacho tasted like salsa and the pork chop was over cooked.
Lovely setting. Nice menu, not traditional Italian. Service was prompt but timing way off. We felt rushed. We ordered cocktails, a Caribbean Cosmo, excellent, and a perfect Vodka Gimlet. After a busy day with the grands we looked forward to relaxing with our drinks and visiting with each other. We didn’t get that time as our server came first to ask about the cocktails and then to take our order which included the wines chosen for dinner.
The wines came out immediately, before the second sip of the cocktails. I actually asked my white to sit in the refrigerator, husbands red could breathe.
Waiter leaves, we take one sip of our cocktais and the salads come out! My wine returns. Geeesh.
Husbands Caesar was swimming in dressing. My simple green salad had so much sugar in the vinaigrette I put it aside. We really aren’t that picky about salad, but these were inedible for us.
Husband’s beef tenderloin was over cooked and the super thick wine reduction was so intensely powerful, he scraped it from the plate.
I ordered a side of mushroom risotto and a “vegetable bundle.” The large portion of risotto was well prepared but I’m not a fan of truffle oil and that generous element was not mentioned on the menu. The veggie bundle was a pile of seemingly old and new asparagus and French beans. See picture.
This was our second and probably last visit, and yes, our after dinner aperitif arrived with coffee before our glass of wine was finished or removed. It was the fastest date night meal on books.
Birthday weekend, was awesome
Matt the bartender was great! He made great food recommendations and was a pleasure to talk to. Our waiter, allessandro, was a true gentleman, giving us great service and an overall amazing experience!
Lovely restaurant with delicious food, good wines and great service. The atmosphere was delightful and our waiter very attentive and obviously very proud of this lovely place. Adjacent to s beautiful inn which was a converted tobacco barn. Pasta was delicious and so were the lamb chops. Highly recommend it! My in-laws were so impressed they asked for a menu to take home to their neighbors.
We sat in a booth in the bar. Excellent atmosphere. Wine is very good and cold. Excellent food and service. Will be returning in the very near future for a special occasion
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME... EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT covers it all... in EVERY sense ❤️
Had a 330 reservation. Service was average as we may have come during a change in shifts. Had to ask for refills on drinks.
We have enjoyed this restaurant often in the past, but I feel the level of service has declined as well as the attention to detail. My mother and I ordered our filets medium and medium rare - both came out well done - not even pink inside! When one pays $44 for a steak, one would like to think it will be prepared properly. We told our server but she did nothing about it. We also asked to take some vegetables home with us but she neglected to put them in our take home bag.
I may rethink about dining here again given the distance we drive to get there.
Service was very slow.
Had a very enjoyable, delicious meal. Could not ask for better service or atmosphere. This was a wedding gift. Felt like a honeymoon.
We really enjoyed our meal! The flavors of the food were fabulous!
beautiful upscale restaurant in charming countryside. Leola is a very short drive from the tourist heart of Lancaster county. Interesting menu is a welcome relief from local fare.
Service was very good. There were two wedding receptions happening on the night of our visit; our experience was not impacted at all. Our food came out promptly, actually too promptly as our entree arrived seconds after salad course.
We shared a local cheese plate with pretzels, beautiful fresh fruits and mustard, a mixed green salad with shrimp, tomato, dates and mandarin orange and fresh pasta with cheeses and cracked pepper. My husband had a side of sautéed mushrooms and I ordered broccoli rabe with anchovies and garlic. Portions were large.
This is a gem and well worth the lovely drive if you’re visiting Intercourse area.
This is by far the finest restaurant in the area and once you enjoy its cuisine and exceptional staff and ambiance it will be among your favorites anywhere. The Chef is amazing, the menu is diverse and every item is made with love and excellence. The risottos are exquisite, the pastas prepared to perfection and entrees are mouth watering. Sit in a beautiful Tuscany influences room and be waited upon by those who real care about your experience.
Prices are terrific and I can assure you - you will not want to leave and you will be back again and again.
Wonderful time at a cozy restaurant with fantastic foods. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely be back.
They were renovating when we were there so limited seating but the food more than made up for it. From the appetizer to dessert everything was exceptional. We will definitely be returning.
The food is excellent as well as the atmosphere. Unfortunately both times I have made reservations they were messed up. But I will continue to go back for the food!
It was our first time there and it was a great meal. The food was delicious. We will return again.
This time around, disappointing. I ordered the chicken salad plate, that was served with fresh fruit, with the emphasis on "fresh." The strawberries were indeed fresh, but the pears were mushy and apparently from a can. The chicken salad was tasteless. I've had better chicken salad from a supermarket deli. We were not offered coffee nor dessert. There was no offer of a refill for a soda. It was only when the bill was brought that we asked if we could see a dessert menu. It was definitely overpriced for what we got. Most likely will not go back.
The food was wonderful! There was issues in the kitchen . The server that we started with left after taking our drink order. Never came back for 45 min. The later server who waited on us to the end of dinner did very well. Some of our servers we had. Need to be updated on personality and positive attitude towards customers. Especially having a rating as your hotel has.
Great food - the arancini, penne with beef-cheek rage and orecchiette with Italian sausage were amazing. Service was a little slow, but as long as you are relaxed, it’s not a problem.
Very cozy dining experience while eating in front of the fireplace. Our server Alisandro was excellent and very attentive. Our meals were amazing. Other than lag times between courses the night was exceptional.
Alessandro delivered stellar service & the food was fabulous, as always! The filet mignon was delicious & the beef cheek penne remains my favorite, paired with the Aglianico. Thx so much! We’ll return!
Ate at this hotel restaurant due to bad weather and did not feel like venturing out. So glad we did. Food and service outstanding.
Very inviting dining room with lovely decor. We were there at a less busy time so we could enjoy the quiet environment. Our server, Matt, was very prompt yet considerate of time we needed to order. Our entrees and dessert was excellent, and the decaf coffee brewed well.
Only complaint was the bread which neither of us liked. We are very familiar with Italian bread having visited Italy many times but this bread was very sour and way too salty.
I would definitely make reservations again as the overall experience was wonderful.
Great food and great service! Can’t wait to go back
Went for a dinner with friends. Great cocktails and wines. All of our entrees were exceptional.
It was a very disappointing experience- it took 35 minutes to get water and a bottle of wine - obviously short staffed with one server...
entrees also took a long time and were mediocre.
Nice bar and bartender though.
Valentines day dinner. At first we were seated in a very brightly lit room with a rocking table and in front of a huge mirror....upon requesting a new table we were taken to a more authentic Italian decor room with nice ambience.
I’ll never go back
Quite small but very cozy. The table by the fireplace was very nice. Our server was excellent. We enjoyed our entree but the asparagus and gelato were disappointing. Pricey.
