Wonderful find. Upstairs loft is quieter and less hectic atmosphere. Food was delicious. Great spot for a pre show meal as well.

Standby off Times Square with Venetian dishes mixed with traditional Italian fare (pasta e fagioli). Prices reasonable, but not cheap. Wine list is not extensive but has decent choices Service is professional. Dishes we liked: baby octopus, calf liver, pork tenderloin

The midtown west location is excellent for a pre-theatre dinner or for out of-towners staying in the Times Square area. The menu was varied, with quality ingredients and an emphasis on quality rather than volume.

My husband and I came here for dinner before seeing the Lion King. The restaurant itself is very cute, though I could see how it could be uncomfortably crowded during peak dinner times (we went at 4:30). They actually have to pull out the tables for you to sit down and they're very close together. Our server was not overly friendly and did not even give us his name, though the service in general was very quick which is nice if you're in a rush to see a show. The food was average, nothing spectacular. I had the salmon/goat cheese ravioli and had higher expectations. We thought the prices were pretty reasonable, however doubt that we would ever return.

The food was well prepared and our service was prompt but not intrusive. The atmosphere was lively but not overwhelming. A lovely dinner and good wine before a show

We had a delicious dinner at the bar before a theater performance. The wine was excellent as was the food. We thoroughly enjoyed. Didn’t feel rushed and made it on time to the play.

A friend and I enjoyed a relaxing pre-theater dinner in a comfortable corner table. My spinach and ricotta ravioli in sage butter sauce was yummy. And my friend enjoyed an appetizer of calamari and shrimp as an entree. Very good and plenty to eat. The restaurant is cozy and warm, and we were just across the street from the theater.

Tasty food for being in NYC but really expensive: 105 $/pp fix menu with two courses + 11 $/glass of medium quality wine + 7 $/ bottled water+ 3,75 $ espresso (it could be offered, at least!!!)+ mandatory 20% of gratuity!!!! Are you kidding me??? In Italy, these prices are typical of Michelin star restaurants, exceptional quality restaurant that can not be compared with this one!

My husband and I took 3 teenage boys to New York for a few days. We all enjoyed our pre-theater dinner at Osteria al doge. Food was good; two of the boys devoured their lasagna followed by dessert. Service was efficient and pleasant. My husband an I had dined there in October upon recommendation of the hotel concierge and decided to have one of our dinners on this trip.

We enjoyed Osteria Al Doge. Food was delicious and it had a beautiful holiday ambiance. The lemon chicken was very tasty and the tagliatelle bolognese was also delicious. The lemon tart dessert that we ordered was out of this world. Service was impeccable as there was always someone there to help with a request. We will come again.

I always love eating at Osteria al Doge, don't get as much chance as I'd like. The food is always top notch and not too expensive. A great authentic NYC dining experience for out-of-towners who want to avoid both "touristy" and "ritzy" and just enjoy a real meal.
