Ssecond time dining at Osteria in past two months as we again had Broadway tickets. Again ordered the pasta special which this time was ravioli stuffed with swordfish, topped with rock shrimp & cherry tomatoes. fabulous. Great service, Good wines by the glass and VERY reasonable pour. I had skate wing special which was also delicious.
Cute little restaurant. Delicious food! Reasonably priced for location
Everything about Osteria al Doge was amazing! The host made sure we got a table upstairs like requested which was beautiful! The food was delicious from the appetizer to the dessert. A wonderful NYC experience!
Fabulous food, incredible service. We’ve been coming here for probably 15 years and it never disappoints!
Delicious food would definitely come back again! I had gluten free pasta and lamb and it was outstanding!
Celebrated our 6 months of marriage here!!! So romantic. Sat by the window. Food was amazing. Great place for pre-theater dinner.
The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. The food came super fast and was the perfect amount.
Very good food and nice ambiance. Great for pre-theater. I look forward to going back. Highly recommend
Everything was good. Nothing outstanding or spectacular for the price point. Wine was warm and again...ok. Doubt we’ll return for a second visit but overall was a decent pre-theatre meal.
Really good traditional Italian restaurant. We enjoyed a super nice meal with burats, pasta and pizza.
I frequently go to this restaurant and I am NEVER disappointed with the food, service and ambiance. Everything on their menu is amazingly delicious. I love it here and I tell everyone to check it out.
We saw Jagged Little Pill for my wife’s birthday and our son and daughter in law joined us for dinner. Special place! Wonderful atmosphere... food and service.
Steak very hard..lighting very dark couldn’t even see menu very pricey for very little amount of food
Great service, drinks, food, friendly, attentive.
Great place near Times Square. Food is consistently good. Have been going for years.
Service and food were amazing and they accommodated our every request. What a gem in the heart of Times Square!
Great food and decor and espectacular service. They really go out of their way to please you. I am definitely going back!
Great risotto with rucola, shrimp and tomato’s, perfectly made. My husband had a wonderful lasagna dish and lovely beet, goat cheese and rucola.
Consistently excellent and a favorite spot for us before theater.
It is always my boss's favorite place. She loves the food and it has been one of her go to places with gatherings for many many years. This time was no exception. Everything was great!!
Alex at the bar is phenomenal - every visit is fun and easy and we always get to the theatre in time
I love this place. Sitting upstairs is best. Quick kitchen great for pre-theater. Food comes to table tasty and hot. Dessert special heavenly and good coffee.
A good place to go with a friend where you can hear the conversation as well as enjoy the food and wine! The balcony in particular is a great location to have a leisurely meal with a good friend in an area where restaurants tend to be overly crowded, loud, and focused on moving you out rather than letting you enjoy being in. Average age is above millennial status, which is probably why it seems old world with a focus on conversation and relaxation..
One of my favorites. Always great food and great service. Drinks great too and very convenient to theater district and especially Town Hall
I hadn’t visited Osteria al Doge in many years. While I remembered the dining experience to be positive my partner and I were blown away by the quality of the food and preparation and the reasonable prices. Everything from the pasta special to the seafood main to the wonderful dessert was mouthwatering and first class. Service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommended if you’re in the Theater District.
Osteria al Doge is consistently good. The menu is great making it hard to decide what to order. Never disappointed.
We dined here the last time in NYC and had a good meal then as well as on this trip. I went just with a pasta dish this time and was not disappointed. My wife had a pasta dish also and wanted to add chicken to it but no dice. A little disappointing. It across from the Belasco Theatre so before or after the show it is nice but you better have a reservation. They will ask if you are trying to make a show so that you get a meal that will get you there on time.
The good was subpar overpriced tourist trap! They had to nerve to serve my friend Risotto that was actually American rice all watery what a joke! How about using Arborio rice next time !My veal was cut improperly against the grain like shoe leather. I would never eat her again terrible
Their pastas are a real treat! The food came out promptly, hot and delicious. Super place to go before the theatre or any time, for that matter.
Was ok . Did not accommodate diet preference.
Other food was just ok. Only went because near theater district. There are better places.
A very nice before or after theater dining establishment. A very friendly, warm atmosphere.
This restaurant is one of the coziest, prettiest places in the theater district and I am a native New Yorker. This past Friday was my 5th or 6th time dining there since I truly believe it is a gem to hit prior to a show. Food was great.
Excellent service, highly organized. Our server asked about our theatre time and accommodated accordingly.
Really loved our experience here. Great ambience, food, service. Our server Cynthia was super... professional, friendly, helpful. My linguini with seafood was excellent... The lasagna outstanding. Most memorable dessert... the chocolate mouse. Recommended by Cynthia, and it's what I'll come back for next time. Great job, everyone.
Perefect before show! Food was delicious and service was great!
Great place for preheater dinner Varied menu choices
Great! Amazing waiter and service...
Wantes a place with good food, nice atmosphere, and relatively quiet. Our hotel recommended this restaurant and it was the best. Would definitely go back there again.
We've been to this restaurant before, and was only too happy to come back to it prior to seeing a Broadway show. I have a family member headed to NYC for dinner and a show in honor of his wife's birthday, so of course I will advise him of this wonderful restaurant. This restaurant is a highly recommend!
I’ve been eating here for years — when in NYC and seeing a show. I’m sad to say that I think Osteria al Doge has lost its luster. It was fine but seems to be just coasting.
