Osteria al Doge
Lovely tasteful food prepared with care. Caesar salad could have been bigger.
We had a very nice dinner at Osteria al Doge. Wonderful atmosphere. Good service. The food was very good. I had the Penne Formaggi. It was delicious.
We came for early dinner after a matinee our. Waiter Sean was wonderful we had pasta in lamb sauce and grilled fish it was heavenly we all had a glorious day and this restaurant was wonderful most enjoyable
Delicious pasta and dessert (tiramisu). Good wines served by glass. Good service and reasonable prices. Worth a visit!
Top notch service. Fresh made pasta. The tuna appetizer special was out of this world!!!
Excellent food and service at one of my favorite Manhattan restaurants.
OAD is my favorite NYC restaurant! It’s a cozy place that’s warm this jewel of an eatery won’t disappoint! Until next time OAD!
It was great. Food and service was perfect!
Delicious food and great service! Perfect before a show.
Service was efficient and pleasant, food was good, ambiance was "ok", overall a good pre=theater dining experience.
Had a very enjoyable post theatre early dinner. Food was very good, I enjoyed the salmon.
Always a delight
The food was just amazing. Delicoius and beautifully presented. Service was perfectly attentive and responsive. The atmosphere is also perfect. Stylish, soothing and artistic. And special and (to me) all important mention of the lighting. It was also perfect- high enough to see and read easily, but diffuse, with no spotlights/highhats glaring in my eyes. Thanks for a tasty and memorable dinner.
We love Osteria. The food, ambiance, and people are top notch. Highly recommend dinner there any day
Always a reliable and pleasant experience. Professional and friendly service.
Celebration of an incredible dining experience before going to a broadway show.
We were celebrating a birthday-the restaurant came to us highly recommended. The manager/owner instructed the hostess as to where to seat us. The table was at the rear of the dining room. There was so much traffic (waiters, busboys, kitchen staff); at one point a bag of garbage was dragged next to our table!
The waiter greeted us gave us the menu , and brought us the check! He never spoke to us at all! He brought my wine and it was intended for the table next to ours- I tasted it and realized it wasn’t mine - I told the waiter it wasn’t mine and that I’d tasted it-he gave it to the lady beside us! We had to tell her not to drink it!
When we left I told the manager/owner and his response was we should have told him about the table even though he sat us there!
I would never recommend this restaurant to anybody-even though the food was good.
Great food. Great Service. Love the Veal Scallapini
Excellent before theater choice
This is a wonderful restaurant, as attested to the fact that it was filled AFTER the theatre crowd had left. Although the fritto de mari was pretty standard, the pastas were excellent. The service was attentive and fast.
The restaurant was everything we expected! We sat in the loft area at a table for 2. Our waitress was both friendly and efficient. We relaxed having our cocktails and then enjoyed our main course of veal and mushroom. It was delicious! We ended our meal with coffee/ tea and delicious apple tarts and cinnamon gelato. We give it 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Dinner after a a show. Food, atmosphere and service was excellent!
Can’t wait to go back
The service was outstanding!
Excellent as always!
I love this restaurant.
I find the portions a bit on the small side.
Some of the sides that combm
Great service and great food. The lasagna is epic.
Attending a Broadway show
Nice Italian food and nice place with a very good service
Magnificent! Food, ambience, servers. The fegato a la Veneziana, in particular, was as good — and authentic — as the best places in Venice. And they know precisely how to get you to your Broadway show on time.
Great pasta. Great service.
The waiter even asked when our theater time was so the food could be out in time. Delicious. If you want a powerful Italian experience, this is the place.
The food is consistently excellent. The ambiance is pleasant. The service is decent, although sometimes a little abrupt...but that probably comes from having to get people out in time to go to the theater. An overall excellent restaurant.
After a matinee it was the perfect get away and meal. Seating was at 5:30 but we arrived earlier than expected and was seated right away. The service was fantastic and food was delicious. Be careful of course with the drinks, that's where they get you. Neat is more expensive than on the rocks and wow asked for a twist of lemon for an espresso and was charged $2. Yes, it is NY!!!!
This was my first dining experience at Osteria al Doge and it won't be my last. The food here is authentic Italian cuisine, meaning you'll feel at home with the savory flavors among their dishes. We had two Cesar salads, the lasagna and shrimp ravioli. The food was hearty and made me feel as if I was dining out in Italy. Emmanuel, our server, was friendly, helpful and so responsive--he knew we had a show to get to and kept us on schedule. His professional yet personable demeanor were quite charming--ask for him by name! Thank you for a wonderful meal between showings of HARRY POTTER! There's magic on Broadway and there's magic at Osteria al Doge!
My wife and I eat at Osteria al Doge every time we see a Broadway show. The restaurant is amazing, the food is always great and the service is right on. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
The atmosphere is beautiful, service is fantastic (their first question is always: "do you have a curtain time?") and the food is delicious. My favorites: spinach paparadelle with lamb ragu, shellfish in tomato broth. Love it and have brought many people here including my husband twice. Best place for pre-theatre!
Nice spot post theatre rush near Times Square. Service was wonderful, lovely surroundings, but food was just okay.
We went for an anniversary dinner at a friend's recommendation. They gave us a wonderful corner booth for seating. Our waiter (Massimo) was a delight and provided us with wonderful insights in the menu and his recommendations where spot on! We had beautifully done (and NOT over done) salads to start. We thoroughly enjoyed two of the specials for our mains- the wing fish special was unique and deliciously prepared. I had the paccheri pasta with shrimp and sauce that still makes me smile thinking about it. And how could you leave without trying to the chocolate mouse?
It was a great evening that we we will remember for years to come. Thanks to the wonderful people at Osteria al Doge for making so special!
