Osteria al Doge
Food was very good but noise level may it difficult to enjoy the meal.
Very good in every way. I would have given it overall five stars except that for the expense it should have been absolutely perfect.
Great food excellent service!
Excellent Italian food and terrific service! Convenient not only to Times Square but also to your Broadway Show.
We were visiting NYC and looking for a pre-theatre dinner. I found Osteria al Doge on YELP and figured it gave some great options for our group of six which included "the picky eater", the "dairy free" and "grain free" guests. There was something for everyone and the restaurant was so accommodating with our dietary restrictions and allergies. Full bar, great ambiance and the food was absolutely delicious. I had grilled octopus which was the best we've had since e were in Italy a few years ago and Sea bass which was cooked to perfection! The waiter stuck to our schedule to make sure we made our show on time! Great option in the city with so many choices, we'll be back again next time we're in town!
Before theater dinner. All good
We had a fabulous dinner at Osteria al Doge on Tuesday night. The waiter could not have been more attentive and was very familiar with the menu. The support staff were amazing. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. Highly recommend.
Team holiday celebration
Our waiter was wonderful - we were appropriately seated as we had a celebrity guest with us and were treated with respect and good humor
Service and food was excellent.
They will expedite service if you need to get to the theater or take your time if you're so inclined.
Always a great experience at Osteria Al Doge. It’s my go to spot in the theater district. Everyone I bring to Osteria Al Doge always loves it.
Sixth visit and does not disappoint. Food delicious and service was outstanding. Such a pretty place with a great cozy feel. A gem in the theatre district.
Consistently excellent all-around. It's been our go-to for years for a reason.
Wonderful experience. Food was very fresh and tasted wonderfully homemade. (The salmon ravioli was awesome!) Right off the bat, after being seated, we were asked if we were trying to make a show that night. (We were and the service was relaxed but prompt). After I wrote in the reservation that it was my daughter’s birthday, our waiter brought out her dessert with a candle on it and proceeded to sing “happy birthday” to her in a nice carrying voice. She was a bit embarassed, but beaming. Overall, a great place to eat and we will certainly be back in the future.
The food was very good, but the last minute announcement that the kitchen was closing early ( I realize that it was a holiday and I don’t begrudge letting the staff off early), made the meal feel very rushed. Had I known, when booking the reservation, that they were closing early, I would have made other arrangements.
I did receive a call beforehand, but at that point, booking another restaurant was very difficult.
A unique steak restaurant in which the *entire* staff sincerely cares about your dining experience. The steak (we had the filet mignon and rib eye) was outstanding, cooked to perfection, with the side dishes also beyond delicious. The wait staff was incredibly attentive but not overbearing. Being able to watch the chefs cook steaks in brick ovens was so cool. Do not pass up the NY Cheesecake for dessert. It was superb, made on the premises. You'll drop a pretty penny here but it was worth it for a special dinner.
Absolutely nice choice of new year's eve. Unforgettable moment at NY. Food were all delicious, kind servers, exciting etmosphere of the holliday :)
Outstanding service and food. The specials were very good out and while different complimented other items on the menu as well. Ambiance was very nice and intimate
Waiter forgot our order. Had to choke down main course in five minutes in order to make the theater. Something was off with the seafood and became sick to our stomach later that evening
Great selection of foods. Prompt and friendly service. Perfect location for going to a Show.
Great Italian near Theater District. The lasagna and ricotta/spinach ravioli were the best I’ve ever tasted. I’d go back just for that lasagna. Pretty place, but not fancy. The desserts were just ok. I really liked it.
food was delicious - calamari, pasta and salad . good pre-theatre.
Perfect pre-theatre spot!
Excellent food and service!
Throughly enjoyed our meal and then service and the people there.
Came to New York for the holiday weekend and had reservations booked for months for what I have been told is an outstanding restaurant in NYC. They had a water pipe break. Now I understand these things happen but there was no notice that they were closed until I walked up to the front door and a sign was on the gate. Also the man I asked to confirm if they were in fact closed at the front door was rude and chased me out of the restaurant. Very disappointed in how I was treated and I had been truly looking forward to this for months. My mom and I were left stranded with no place to eat Thursday night.
We have been to Osteria before and we are usually pleased. We had two pasta dishes and they were both good. We ordered the Mista Salad which was $12 so assumed, but asked if it was enough to split. We were told that it was, but it really was barely enough for one person. Also, a glass of red wine was $14. I know it’s NYC, but that’s a little much. So, we enjoyed our meal, but two pasta dishes, one shared salad and one glass of wine took us over $100 with tip.
Excellent friendly service. Food promptly delivered.
The Buffalo Mozzarella w prosciutto app was fantastic.
Wonderful dinner experience as always. Consistently excellent food and service.
Friendly service, good food, amazing wine! Steps away from Times Square
Meal was delicious. Our server Yullia was very nice and attentive. The cappuccino at the end of the meal was one of the best I’ve had.
Excellent service, food was tasty and great presentation , overall was a great experience I would recommend to everyone
I was concerned about a Christmas Eve dinner in the Times Square area. Osteria al Doge was an oasis in the vulgar desert that is Times Square. The food was sensational, the service impeccable, and the ambience very much in the Christmas spirit. As a life-long New Yorker this was a revelation. We will return for more superb dining in this gem of a restaurant.
Beautifully decorated for the holidays. Excellent staff. The food was the best I have had in New York. This will be a place we will add to our list of places to always visit.
I come here every time I’m in NYC (& that’s a lot). Never disappoints!
My family and I went there for lunch the margarita pizza was great....ihad the grilled vegatamle which was delicious...ithought the orechistto pasta with cheese and sausage was way too vjersy
Tables were a little too close together. Everything else outstanding.
It’s been around forever and has the formula down Good homemade pasta, more fish than typical NYC Italian, it’s enjoyable but otherwise not inspiring. Tables very close together as you’d expect in Theater District. Efficient service; you’ll make your show. Skip dessert.
Great place and really good food.
We had a wonderful meal and will be back soon.
