Osteria 177 is the ultimate expression of an Italian tavern where the main attraction is imported delicacies of one-of-a-kind food and wine. Adorned by barreled wine, an Osteria would never lack the sought out local specialties, spices, cheeses, fish or meats. It was here that many people tried to alleviate life's stresses by numbering themselves with good food, good wine, and good company. The owner/chef of the Osteria would take the utmost pride in stocking these praised elements as the basis for mouthwatering meals, a delicious dance-for-all of the five senses. This is the basis for Osteria 177.

Had reservations for Sunday evening. Was seated up front looking out the front window. The food was excellent, the recommendation for wine as well and service was very attentive. The waiter knew what meal and wine recommendations to make. The food choices reminded us of our trips to Italy and as excellently prepared as if we were there.
Food was excellent, service as well- will definitely return.
We dined Friday evening 9/13 and when we arrived we were seated straight away. The restaurant was full and several patrons were turned away as to honor reservations. The meal was outstanding. We split a pasta in a boar ragu'. The pasta was homemade, fresh and seasoned perfectly. It melted in your mouth. For our main course my wife had the sea bass and I had the red snapper. Both were cooked to perfection. We'll be back.
Food was excellent. Carpaccio, Rigatoni with sausage and mushroom, and red snapper were all fantastic, very tasty.
It’s always a special treat to dine at the Osteria 177. The food and wait service are always top-notch.
Wonderful experience from beginning to end. Impeccable service you would expect from a high end restaurant. We had melon and prosciutto as an appetizer which was enough for two of us to share. Our main courses were sacchetti and the cioppino which were both excellent and generous. We shared panna cotta with berries for dessert. We will put it on our list to go back again soon.
This was the second visit for my group of four. The food was just as exceptional the second time as was the first. The baked oysters were amazing, Ceasar Salad was good. All the fish and pasta dishes were delicious. Good wine selection. They are expensive. But you get what you are paying for. High end and prepared just right with a very accommodating staff.
Waiter was excellent...food delicious!!
Love this place. Service, food, and drinks are fantastic!!!!
It is always an enjoyable experience when we dine at Osteria! Food is absolutely delicious and the service is always amazing!
Great food. Staff is excellent highly recommend this restaurant
Good was absolutely wonderful. Dmitri was an amazing server and sommelier!
Would appreciate a slight dress code, slobs in shorts and dirty t shirts are not warranted for such a nice restaurant
Excellent authentic Italian food and hospitality. Very warm, attractive atmosphere. A bit pricey but definitely worth it.
Overpriced. Some entrees were upwards of $55. Salads limp and unoriginal. Fish was over cooked. Service was fair. Will not return.
We are frequent diners here. Our waiter, Dimitri, is always helpful and professional. The Chilean sea bass was excellent along with the suggested wine.
All courses were delicious and prepared with excellent ingredients. The tartufo dessert was unusually good.
The Osso Bucco was awesome and Arturo brought back a recipe for Lasagna that his mom makes, my wife’s word was “awesome”. Osteria never disappoints.
Amazing place never disappointed, food is great Italian /Mediterranean /continental. Pricey but you get a great value for your money.
This was a very good experience. We look forward to returning to try more of the great menu.
Excellent food and service. I had the filet and my husband ordered the lamb chops - both were outstanding. Chris was very personable, attentive, and enhanced our dining experience. We will be back very soon.
Excellent service. Very knowledgeable waiter and passionate about the food. Wine list too expensive, few bottles under $100 for Italian reds. Ridiculous. Really interesting list of specials. Homemade pastas were also ridiculous- amazing! Had octopus carpaccio salad. Excellent experience overall.
Great venue. Friendly staff.
Our server was very personable and attentive offering great menu suggestions. A very enjoyable and delicious meal. The lemon drop martinis were fabulous.
Wonderful food and great service. The swordfish was spectacular. Service was as good as you could ask for and price was reasonable for the area. Highly recommended.
Hoping to have a leisurely dinner as we had lots of time before our show.
Timing of everything was perfect from appetizers thru dessert.
All four of us were pleased with our choices.
The specials that day were definitely special.
I took my Fiancé to Osteria177 for his Birthday and it was excellent! He had a Lobster dish and I had the Cioppino. I have been to Italy and the Cioppino at Osteria is comparable, if not better than those I’ve had in the past!!! We had a great time, excellent service, ambiance, food and wine!
Food was phenomenal. Our waiter had a large table of suits though and directed all his attention to them throughout the evening so service could definitely have been better if we had been given another server.
We had an amazing dinner. We have (had) our usual Monday spot. Now we have a rotation. The wine list was impressive. Our server, Dimitri was fabulous - attentive, professional, knowledgeable and fun. Food was just fantastic. Our new #1
A local gem on Main Street in Annapolis.
Excellent seafood and wine menus. The quality of the food and service were excellent.
Went to Osteria 177 with fellows runners for a pre-race dinner before the Annapolis Ten Mile run. Food was excellent, with numerous pasta selections. Server was well-informed on the menu, witty, and did not mind that most of the table was not drinking alcohol despite his detailed wine recommendations. Atmosphere is very pleasant and the location on Main St convenient.
Osteria and staff provided us with a lovely and delicious dinner!
I’ve eaten at this restaurant three times now. I’ve dined in many other restaurants in Annapolis. I believe this is the “best” restaurant in Annapolis 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Overall a great experience. The food was fantastic and they were very accommodating for our two young children, which is always appreciated. We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary (which was mentioned in our OpenTable reservation) and while the service was very good, there was nothing done for our occasion - not an expectation, but would have been nice. Overall a great experience.
What a great dining experience!!! Food and service was amazing.
A long time ago, we had a less-than-great experience at Osteria 177. Finally went back several months ago and had a terrific experience, which brought us back again. Terrific again. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable and personable without being "in-your face" and the food was outstanding. Osteria will never be an economy destination, but its definitely special.
If we could give them a 10 we would. Phenomenal
Love...love.....love this place. Food and service is fabulous!
We love Osteria! We often go for any special occasion. It never disappoints. 5 people, 5 different main courses, 5 very happy diners!
