Chef Bush is focused on his new world style of cuisine and presents a menu that appeals to the entire scope of one's palate. Items such as fresh raw oysters, farm to table California vegetables, local fish and meat. OSO looks forward to your visit.
Great experience overall. Delicious food and attentive service. If I had one complaint it's that the ceviche had too much other stuff in it so the fish was overpowered. But the raw ahi was excellent and how can you go wrong with fresh oysters. The Korean BBQ ribs were terrific as was the Moroccan Chicken--outstanding actually. Portions were perfect size.
Wish there was an Oso in Mill Valley or closer by, I’d go once or twice a month. Awesome across the board.
Great food and friendly service. The baked oysters, Korean short ribs, devil eggs, and asparagus with house made hoisin sauce was delicious!
Deviled Eggs amazing. Potatoes Bravas amazing. Moroccan chicken Amazing.
Very tasty food. Friendly waiting staff. Very good value
Good place for small plates although my salad was a little limp. Knowledgeable service staff with good alcoholic beverages. Extremely noisy so impossible to carry on a conversation with the person across the table.
The food was fabulous! We dined there twice on our weekend in Sonoma. The first night we ate there the hostess was frazzled and unfriendly. Service, the second time, was better, but still not quite on par with the level of food served.
Cute little place right if the Sonoma square. Service was amazing but dishes were really salty.
Steve our waiter was great, helped us navigate the menu & provide a recommendation that reinforced our desire to visit Bedrock Tasting room on the square, a great find. I loved the baked oysters, very nice gem salad, and good deviled eggs. The dumplings were also delicious! We’ll go back for more.
Probably my new favorite restaurant on the plaza. Consistently deliciois
Very much enjoyed our dinner at Oso. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We scored one of the 4 outside tables and it was perfect. We were not rushed, and could have a conversation without shouting. We live in Napa, friends in Kenwood, we try to meet in Sonoma and this might be our new fav. We started with cocktails. The blood orange margarita indicated we had found a good place. We ordered appetizers, the deviled eggs with crab delicious! The Burrata cheese was just ok, needed more toast (4 of us) and cut thinner and a pizazz oil or seasoning. 2 of us had the Poke special and it was great. I would have liked a flavored oil on/on the side. A shrimp dish, fried fingerlings and ribs were all well enjoyed by the guys. Dessert we left up to the waitress to bring us her favorite for us to share. We were not disappointed. A butterscotch pot du creme, 4 spoons...delightful. Interior has art work that isn’t my choice especially while eating and was hopping when we were leaving which made it like most places noice wise, so very glad we were seated outside and the weather was perfect. Im not a total foodie but living in Napa has given us exposure to some great service and food so the bar is set pretty high. Oso delivered. Our friend teased the waitstaff and they took it and played along professionally. Kudos!
We enjoyed the back deck in warm weather with our dog. Osbaldo, our waiter, couldn’t have been more attentive and gracios. Best little gem Caesar in town.
We enjoyed a very nice, relaxing lunch with friendly service. Enjoyed sharing many different vegetarian options, and especially loved the spicy asparagus. Everything was fresh and inventively seasoned. Our party of four enjoyed sitting in the small patio at the back on a nice sunny day, as the inside of the restaurant was pretty dark.
It's really a cool place to hang out and dine. Love the atmosphere, the bartenders and waitresses. You feel like family pretty quick there1
The food is really good, and I like that it is right on the square and not too difficult to get a table.
We had the salmon, short rib and shrimp dishes. All we very good and perfectly prepared. I would recommend these to everyone. The short rib was exceptionally tender and full flavored...a real treat.
Our server was uber efficient and knowledgeable about wine...very helpful as our group was eating a variety of items that were very different in taste profiles.
Unusual dishes. Food well prepared. Service was good
Love the food. They need a scrim over the front window because the contrast from the dark restaurant to the bright outdoors is glaring for anyone facing the window.
Also music is always to loud.
The food was wonderful. Complex, unique flavors in every dish we tried. I’d recommend the Garlic Shrimp, but get extra bread because you won’t want the sauce to go to waste. There was a Coned beef as a special which was also excellent. Even the hummus, was more than a run of the mill app. Excellent Food.
We just had lunch, only had the mussels and ceviche, but both delicious.
Spectacular food and good service. Every plate we shared, and there were many, had great depth and balance of flavors and textures. Service was good and it was great to see the chef/owner orchestrating all operations with a clear view and awareness of what was happening in his kitchen and dining room. Overall, a great value and a great dinner.
My friends and I tried about 10 different items, and EVERYTHING was extremely flavorful and well-prepared. The butterscotch pot de creme was a decadent dessert favorite, and I can't wait to go back again soon for the house-favorite deviled eggs with crab....yummmmm!! Our only negative critique would be the small table we had to squeeze into and the ultra-small plates we were given for our meal. The plates were no larger than your standard saucer under a teacup. Besides that, no complaints!
excellent drinks, and delish food! we had the guacamole, which was very fresh! two tacos, pescado and beef, tasty! the entrees were the braised octopus and the pescado con mole verde. all were very good! and the spicy margaritas hit the spot. we will definitely be back!
Went with a group of six and it was great. Lively atmosphere and it was fun to order a bunch of small plates to share. Food was delicious and service was friendly. It's a VERY busy place on a Friday evening and quite loud, but we had a good time.
Great selection of small plates
Taco specials were great. We had the shrimp tacos and the crabmeat tostados, which were specials. Both entrees were wonderful, flavors were spot on and no cheese which were like. The hummus was rustic, flavorful and some of the best I’ve ever had - feta cheese as a topping was wonderful! Service was great as well. Would recommend and would eat here again. Very good wine list.
We really enjoyed our dinner at OSO while visiting Sonoma. Great drinks, fun unique shareable dishes and nice atmosphere. Perfect for our last night in town.
Great ambience, amazing variety of food and drinks, excellent service, delicious meal and cocktails. Met expectations in every department. Highly recommended.
Unusual and varied menu, good service, our current favorite place. Good for a light meal, a drink and appetizer or a great burger.
Friendly servers, relaxing environment after a day of wine tasting when you really want a beer.
A terrific menu, and always brilliantly executed. There are enough items rotating through to get something new every visit. But some of the standards keep me coming back (deviled eggs topped with Dungeness crab? To. Die. For.) While many think this is a small plates menu, most of those "plates" are more than enough for a single main, so if, like me, you aren't into sharing, you will be perfectly content here. The wine list always has some interesting choices, and consistently offers good value. A very nice, casual vibe and always good service.
Amazing food. We had the seafood platter, deviled eggs, Pappas, roasted squash
This is great Tapas restaurant. The food was wonderful with perfect choices for all tastes. Highly recommended.
Very tasty food. Wonderful service!
The food was pleasant, but did not live up to the expectations set by people who recommended it. The location on the square is convenient, but I was disappointed by the quality of the food.
Great food and great service!
We have been to OSO on a few occasions and have never been disappointed. It is amazing the quality of the food that comes from their tiny kitchen. Tastes, textures, presentation all excellent. The bar is top notch as well boasting the best Negroni in Sonoma
The Korean short ribs and the poke were fantastic! Our server Oswaldo was also extremely friendly and helpful. The papas frites were a little salty. We enjoyed the seafood platter as well.
We had a very nice meal of a number of tasty dishes. All were spicy without being too hot. The service was excellent. We will be back.
