Chef Bush is focused on his new world style of cuisine and presents a menu that appeals to the entire scope of one's palate. Items such as fresh raw oysters, farm to table California vegetables, local fish and meat. OSO looks forward to your visit.
This is my third visit to Oso and it did not disappoint. We ate out in the back because it's quiet there. Unfortunately, I find the interior of the restaurant very loud and difficult for us seniors to talk. Other than that I will be back. Food is excellent. Love small plates
I came with a party of 5. We really enjoyed the flexibility of choosing several items to share. Vegetarian dishes were available and flavorful. The green beans were substituted with broccolini, but, yum! The tacos were a favorite. The ribs were quite spicy! Service was good, not overbearing. Food came out at a leisurely pace. Probably better for adults, however I did see a family with a boy, maybe 11 years old.
The Little Gems Salad and the mussels were both wonderful dishes. The service was friendly without being overbearing. We had a lovely seat by the window. The only faults were one of the cocktails was overly sweet, and perhaps the artwork which leaned towards nudes.
Oso has an energetic modern vibe with shareable fusion tapas style plates. They have a great cocktail and wine menu and would be a nice upscale place to go for a nice dinner with friends in wine country. We really enjoyed the garlic butter shrimp, Korean short ribs, and raw fish of the day!
The food was OK but was all over the place. Value not great. Ambiance not very nice. That being said some delicious dishes.
It was nice. The portions were a little small but it was all very good. This is a great place to come and snack.
Great meal with friendly service. We dined later in the evening, so didn’t experience the loud crowd. It’s a small place, do recommend booking in advance.
We're locals and this is one of our favorites. Always a good menu, specials are interesting, nice bar.
We sat in the front window during lunch today with the beautiful breeze blowing by as Sonoma did her thing. This place makes fantastic cocktails (Sonoma Dreamer is a favorite.), and has nice wine and beer available. Food was good, they really know how to run a kitchen and put out high quality fare. The wait staff at this place will take really good care of you while being pleasant and helpful.
Food and service was excellent. The sauce with the mussels was to die for.
We chose to site outside and were pestered by flies. Not bad enough that we moved inside, but a distraction nonetheless. Our bad. Otherwise, highly recommended.
Oso’s little gem salads are the best anywhere. I’ve had several variations and have never been disappointed. The menu offers something for everyone and the wine list is eclectic and reasonably priced.
The service was top notch and the food was absolutely delicious. Celebrating a job change with family and we shared a few small plates and 2 large plates. Everything was a great pairing of flavors and I highly recommend sharing a few plates. The shrimp was amazing as was he short rib. Also the best green beans I ever had. Fun atmosphere and a great value for what you received. Will definitely dine here again!
Completely underwhelmed by everything but the service.
Amazing what a tiny kitchen with no grill puts out. Interesting tasty well seasoned food that still surprises after all these years.
If you like bland go elsewhere, if you like well prepared that will perk up your taste buds this is the place.
Perfect as always
Amazing flavors. We had deviled eggs with crab. I had a salmon with spring vegetables in a shiitake broth that was amazing and perfect portion size. Wine list offers many choices. Ambiance and service are excellent. Make reservations
Food was delicious. The wait staff is attentive and helpful. Will definitely return.
Ceviche was one of the best we have had.
Wonderful lunch on the patio. Rave reviews for the hummus plate, little gem salad and anchiote chicken sandwich.
We have been to Oso several times with varied food quality usually very good this time is was only just good! The gem salad was lacking flavor the Korean ribs were too spicy, the deviled eggs were had very little crab. All in all a decent place
I really enjoyed the deviled eggs! Great service and drinks. Definitely would go again.
Great service on Father’s Day. So many good items on the menu, it was hard to decide so we shared and enjoyed all our choices. The burrata was outstanding. Our server was excellent. Coming back
Great food. GREAT location. Great service. I can’t wait to go back.
I would recommend for a drink and a bite. Did not realize the menu was set up as al a cart. Went with a friend, we tasted several items and each had a signature cocktail.
Really yummy Thai asparagus, Korean ribs and baked oysters.
Everything was great but the a/c seemed to be having a hard time overcoming with the 100-degree temps outside. We ended up having apps at Oso and moving on to another restaurant for dinner because it was just too warm inside the restaurant.
The food came so quickly we had no time to enjoy our wine. Felt like we were being rushed out when we wanted a relaxed dinner together.
In central town. Good vibe. Good place to kick back and chill. Service was great. Food was I would say good for bar food but not restaurant food if that make sense.
My old Sonoma stand-by continues its string of flawless execution.
Their outdoor area was on the lean side of ambiance. Should be nice when it’s finished.
Seafood platter - perfect. The house mignonette, while not traditional, really brought a great spice aspect that paired well with the oysters, The burrata plate we had was simple, yet tasteful and bursting with flavor. Quality food, excellent service, affordably priced. We ate on the patio, which was perfect with the weather. Worth noting - the noise level inside of the restaurant was very loud, we would have been disappointed if we had sat in there.
Great food and service, Daniele is a perfect representative of the restaurant itself, she provided the service and answered all our questions the food was excellent and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants good food and service.
Thank you all.
Food, drink + service = excellent.
Noise decibel levels at lunch = harmful.
Hope the restaurant takes the high road and takes steps to adjust the painfully LOUD interior dining room.
Loved everything about OSO! Food was flavorful, ambiance perfect, and service was great. Will definitely stop by again.
Always proud to take out of town visitors to Oso.
Small plates, and great selection. Really like this place. A big pricey but not unreasonable.
Great experience overall. Delicious food and attentive service. If I had one complaint it's that the ceviche had too much other stuff in it so the fish was overpowered. But the raw ahi was excellent and how can you go wrong with fresh oysters. The Korean BBQ ribs were terrific as was the Moroccan Chicken--outstanding actually. Portions were perfect size.
Wish there was an Oso in Mill Valley or closer by, I’d go once or twice a month. Awesome across the board.
Great food and friendly service. The baked oysters, Korean short ribs, devil eggs, and asparagus with house made hoisin sauce was delicious!
