Beautful atmosphere, delicious food , and services was great . Highley recommend it.
Great spot for some small plates and wine. We sat in the pretty garden with our dog and had a very nice time
Delicious food. Very friendly people. Fun setting in the back patio area.
The food was stupendous. Service was quick, friendly, and well staffed (outdoor dining and COVID safe). We will absolutely go again when we are in town. Portions were filling and generous.
Food uneven: Mussels were great; caesar salad had dressing that tasted like mayonnaise and lacked croutons. Service was just terrible: had to call the restaurant on the phone from the back patio to get someone to take our order (15 min. after being told "I will be taking care of you today"). Asked for olives - were delivered to another table (found this out after asking again 20 min. later). Asked for extra toasted bread with mussels - had to get up, walk in and ask again after we were nearly done with mussels. It wasn't busy either.
Went here based on previous reviews. The menu was small and an odd mix of options I thought. The cocktails were expensive and watered down, the deviled eggs were good but nothing spectacular. The pork tacos were pretty gross and we didn’t end up eating them. Big chunks of chewy meat and an overload of sauces. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Great lunch spot! We sat on the back patio and had a great lunch with awesome drinks! Super wait staff too! Highly recommend!
We enjoyed fantastic food and service on the back patio! The mussels in coconut lime broth, a great basic cheeseburger on a buttery brioche bun - and those yummy deviled eggs capped with crabmeat. Definitely will go back!
Enjoyed a lovely early dinner on the patio. Service was great, drinks were delicious, and small plates were so yummy (raw and grilled oysters especially!). We'll definitely be back!
Everything was perfect!!!!
Great service great food
Excellent servers and staff. Always fresh and delightful cuisine.
Best Caesar in town. Staff well trained, and talented Chef.
Staff and food was amazing. We will be back!
Wonderful food and a comfortable outdoor area. Heaters were provided. The servers were nice. It was a good experience and we will be back.
We had a wonderful lunch in the newly-outfitted back patio, with its “safe” and comfortable ambience.
The food and service were terrific, as always! We had the shrimp tacos and always-great deviled eggs! So good!
Everything tasted wonderful and the service was really good as well.
Food and service were excellent. I thought they could have put some candles on the tables. The patio is nice but eating outside on metal chairs without cushions and limited lighting seems like an easy fix. Add some cushions, candles and a few flowers. I had the steak special and my friend had pork tacos-both were yummy. We also enjoyed the blood orange margaritas.
It was the perfect place to have a drink & amazing food with a couple of friends.
What a treat to eat at OSO during these unusual times. The food, as always, was incredible! Our server was fantastic and we felt absolutely comfortable in the patio area as far as COVID safety. What a wonderful opportunity to spend time with friends.
Every bite was delicious...oysters Rockefeller, pork tacos, shrimp tacos! The blood orange Margarita was heaven! Not sweet at all and you definitely could still taste the tequila! Looking forward to trying more items on the menu.
We sat outdoors (Covid) so I can't really judge the noise level, but it was a relaxing vibe out on their patio.
Service and food staff were approachable and kind; we had a delightful lunch on the patio - sunshine, shade, relaxed environment.
Inquisitive menu, nice local wine selection, and dog friendly!
We will be back and plan to try to deviled eggs with local, in-season crab!
The service was fantastic and so was that food
First visit to OSO although I live in Sonoma. It was outstanding given even the restrictions of the SIP. The food was excellent and service as well in their tiny outdoor courtyard. Look forward to another visit when restrictions lessen.
A charming garden in the back. The shrimp and grits were amazing. Delicious oysters. Wonderful stuff
The service was wonderful, the food was outstanding and everything was done safely. This was our second time at OSO and have been impressed both times. We will be back.
We loved it
Very nice lunch on Saturday. I highly recommend the shrimp and cheesy grits, and the seafood pasta. I will be back. there is a sweet little patio at the back of restaurant.
The sun was shining and I was happy
Delicious food, very nice, intimate outdoor dining experience. Friendly server.
Not typically a fan of small plates/ tapas style, but did enjoy this place. Shrimp and grits were awesome!
Very romantic spot right in the Sonoma Square. The food was phenomenal. I highly recommend the Shrimp and Grits. But don't stop there as the Butterscotch Pot de Creme for dessert is reason enough for us to go back.
So sorry we had overlooked this find! We thoughly
enjoyed our food choices.
Last minute tapas style stop prior to dinner later in the night and were surprised by the delicious food here!! Enjoyed CA oysters, rockfish ceviche, Dungeness crab deviled eggs, and Thai broccolini!! Glad we stopped in with a last minute reservation, very delicious!!
Food was delicious. The back patio needs better sun management. I had to move around three times to avoid baking In the sun. A couple sunshades would go a long way and help the ambiance.
Great staff, great chefs, awesome drinks and amazing food!!! Will definitely be back!
Why didn’t we get points for this reservation?
Oso is a bar restaurant with not much in the way of ambiance. I had to send back my chicken dish as it arrived cold. It took awhile before it was brought back. However, I must rave about how delicious it was with the couscous, dried fruit and salad. And enough left over for lunch the following day. The cook sent over a nice dessert complimentary to compensate for the meal that was cold. My husband had the mussels which had a delicious sauce. So, if you don’t care about the ambiance, Oso is a good local restaurant to visit in downtown Sonoma.
This restaurant is right on Sonoma square. It has a fun rustic atmosphere and high-quality food.
Service and food were exquisite!
I went back because their Thai Pork ribs are just outstanding!!! I brought a friend to turn him on to this dish. He too, loved it! Yay chef.
