Osha Thai 3rd Street
We offer an escape from "carbon copy" Thai restaurant menus. Our goal to serve the Bay Area's most authentic traditional Thai, as well as modern riffs using local fresh ingredients and Thai sensibilities. We offer a seasonal menu that we update monthly; stop by to check it out. Besides delighting the discerning palate, our kitchen takes pride in sophisticated presentation.
Our wine list is a labor of love. It is constantly updated with new, exciting selections that we personally like with our food. See our Wine PDF on the Menu page for a look at what kinds of wines we select.
Come in to relax and remember our staff is eager to make your time with us a wonderful experience. Don't hesitate to ask for advice or special requests.

Delicious pumpkin curry and spicy eggplant. Great option for groups.
The tuna tower was very bland this time, but in the past it was stellar. Everything was delicious. We met for lunch. It was very crowded with large groups from a medical conference at Moscond center. We had a reservation & there was no wait. The service was fantastic despite the multiple tables of 20+ people each.
Indifferent service. Lukewarm food. Poorly prepared cocktails.
Dined many times at former 2nd St location & always had a good experience. New location next to Moscow Center evidently means they don’t have to try - fresh batch of conventioneers every week!
Country chicken was spicy and delicious, even my non-spice-loving friend liked it. Pumpkin curry was a delight as well. Medium portioning, one person could knock out either of those dishes solo. I think they were both about $14 which include a big scoop of jasmine rice. Nice atmosphere, looks more refined -decent for business meals or anything forma, but also just good spot. Wait staff was very pleasant and prompt about refilling water which doesn’t often happen elsewhere. Worth a visit.
We took family and friends that were visiting for our wedding here. Everyone raved about the food. All the dishes we got were great. Osha's always a pleasure.
This place is a great find with good ambience and welcoming spirit. We requested to be transferred to a bigger table for more elbow room and was gladly approved. From food with reasonable price to good customer service, definitely we will come back . Thank you Osha thai crew for making our first visit a memorable one.
For what was in the past a well designed hip restuarant, it has turned to a restaurant that the owners clearly don't care about. The leather of our chairs was completely ripped. Some of the paper menus we got had food stains on them. The food was still ok, not all plates were as good as I remembered. When we asked for an extra egg, we were charged for it $2.5.
Osha is my favorite Thai restaurant. The food is consistent and amazing!
The overall was good. However, 1) I wrote the special common/request on the booking, it is the birthday dinner. But they didn't even add a candle to the dessert. 2) The faux leather sofa was broken/peeled off, and it hurt my legs. :(
Our 12:00 Friday lunch with my boss, a SVP and co-worker went very well. Restaurant was very busy but service was impeccable, food was delicious as always, and my boss and co-worker were pleased with their birthday desserts that I ordered in advance. Osha 3rd Street is the best. Thank you!
Average at best
Just average food
Everyone enjoyed the Country Chicken, Vegetarian Crispy Rolls, Beef Wasabi Rolls, and a very tasty Hanuman Gin Fizz, we'll come back.
Great food as always and perfect before going to the movies. Our waiter realized we were vegetarian so brought us a separate menu that has the vegetarian and gluten-free options.
Good food but service seems like they want to rush you and free the table
I would not suggest the pad see you, it’s very bland
Very tasty meal. Portions were just right. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. Overall a good experience
Delicious food and fabulous presentation! A true feast for the eyes as well as savory.
(quick caution - their mild still has a bit of a bite)
We had an enjoyable dinner here. The food was fine, service was great. We were there at 5:30 on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was quiet. It is conveniently located to go to Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, where we were going to attend a performance. We wanted a medium priced sit down quiet restaurant close walking distance away, and it was perfect for that. We would go there again for that purpose.
Service is usually slow, but it was lightning fast today.
Excellent service. Good Thai cuisine. Impressive wine and cocktails list.
Very early dinner with a friend. Quiet and empty so we could chat
Mango salad was bright, fresh, spicy Really enjoyed.
Great location and deft service.
Check it out
Love OSHA ! The Pumpkin Curry is delicious as is everything else. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful.
A nice place. The food was good; the setting comfortable. Service was slow. I will go back.
We went to Osha for my boyfriends birthday dinner and it was an overall good experience. The food was pretty good, but nothing spectacular, but the service was what really made it a great experience.
I was really looking forward to our dinner. Unfortunately the quality in food has gone down and not worth the price paid. Service is the same mediocre would receive anywhere else. Normally order the Volcanic Beef. The sauce on the beef appeared very oily and odd looking. The beef was drowned in sodium.
Overall I feel they’ve lost their touch with quality dishes..
This was a great choice for a business lunch during a busy conference. Only complaint was that it took a long time for everyone to get their meal...10-15 mins between first plate and last, which is always a little awkward. But as it was a very busy time it was not that big a deal. The food was excellent. Would definitely recommend.
My least favorite part of the meal was the server telling me "these ones are good drinks for ladies and these ones are good drinks for men" as if it's 1950 when all I asked is if the bourbon-orange cocktail was too heavy on the orangey flavor (because if that was gonna be the case, I'd rather just have straight bourbon). Doesn't this guy realize he's in San Francisco in 2018 and he's serving a very obvious queer couple? Seriously. Anyways, the food was 50/50. The yellow curry was watery and the potatoes in it were halfway raw/crunchy. But the Pad Thai was good and the "man's cocktail" I ordered was decent.
The restaurant did not have a table ready for our reservation. We ended up sitting at a fold out table jammed between two standard tables. We arrived on-time for our reservation.
Simply great! We had 9 for Dinner, service was great and food brilliant
Osha should update their website to let people know that they are no longer on 2nd street. We walked to 2nd street, only to find out that Osha moved to 3rd street. we wasted 20 minutes just having to re-route and find the new location on 3rd street. very inconvenient, and we had less time to eat and socialize because most of us had to get back to the office for meetings. food was great, as always
Overall a good food experience. Our server was unhelpful and only wanted to "take the order " and move to the next table, questions were not welcomed I suppose because they took time. Border line rude actually. The experience was okay but not one that would cause us to make a return visit.
We did not enjoy our meal at OSHA Thai at all, mostly because of the service. The waitress seemed to be in a hurry and hardly had time for pleasantries. A person from the kitchen came and placed the food in front of us. The food was extremely salty and the lettuce wraps had no taste at all. I would not go back nor would I recommend this restaurant to anyone else. An evening out should be pleasant.
One of the worst restaurants in San Francisco! Wouldn't you think a Thai restaurant could make Pad Thai?!
We loved the food at Osha. Have no complaints about anything. Service and ambience were great
Long time friend visiting from Hong Kong.
Lovely place but noisy and poor service. We could not get a server to come to our table.
Portions are too small. Their "entrees" are more like appetizers. The large plates are for show, as only the middle section of the plate is filled with food, leaving a rim around the food that is at least as large (if not larger) than the part with actual food.
Their staff seems to be unable to take down the correct details for the reservation. We had reserved at a specific time and double checked it. Received a call from them to confirm on the day of the event to be told a different time. They kindly corrected on their end, as our emailed confirmation was originally correct. When we arrived on-time to check in with the host, he gave an incorrect total count. Again, different from our emailed confirmation. Since his count was actually higher than our party size, this was just a minor mistake. But it seems like they are unable to get the small details right.
Too spicy and too expensive
