Great food and great service! Nick was awesome
Ordered the Filet medium well, Béarnaise sauce, Baked Potato , and Caesar Salad. Husband ordered Filet Medium, Crab and Corn Bisque, and Thick Cut Grilled Bacon. To start the Hostess was low energy to say the least. We had reservations tonight for 5 pm. We were sat in the seats overlooking the construction even though there were 5 couples total in the restaurant and there were seats available with a view of Fremont Street. The Caesar Salad was okay. Nothing fancy. The Corn and Crab Bisque was okay but would not call that “King Crab” for sure (and look out for those shells). The thick cut grilled bacon came out and we were very excited as it looked like pork belly. However, it was very tough and tasted like a ham steak. Also was supposed to have jalapeño honey sauce but it tasted like maple syrup with no heat at all. The waiter came and said they did not have baked potatoes and asked if I would be okay with the mashed potatoes. I said okay but when the bill came, they charged me for the baked potato when the mashed was $2 less. The steak was beautifully cooked however, the char on it was so intense it was inedible really. Took it home in a doggy bag to try to give it to the dog. We do not complain while in restaurants as we realize what happens to your food when sent back. Sorely disappointed. Will not return.
Oscar’s was amazing! Bobby was our server and was awesome! I recently had shoulder surgery and Bobby had the kitchen cut my steak for me since I was unable to! Great views and great food!
This is the first time for us to try Oscar's even though I've stayed at the Plaza in the past. The service was exceptional and we had big fat bacon as an app. which was really good. Also the side of Brussel sprouts was amazing. I had the bone-in ribeye which is my favorite cut of meat to get at steakhouses, and I go to a lot of steakhouses. It was cooked perfect but a little too much fat was on this cut. My wife had the prime rib and she thought it was very good. The view out to Freemont Experience is very cool. An Iconic steakhouse that I would recommend purely on the history of Las Vegas is a must.
Absolutely outstanding food and service. Seated quickly and the food was great.
Downtown Las Vegas is a little shady, but this was a nice restaurant and we were pleased.
Our 40oz steak was cooked perfect. Our waiter was wonderful and very attentive. Offered great recommendations which ended tasting great. This was our second time there and would defin go again.
We loved this place! Old Vegas charm under a beautiful glass dome. The food was delicious and the service was great. They were very accommodating to food allergies as well. Free valet parking in front. Very pleased!
I was pretty upset. First, the menu of choice for valentines day was definitely over priced. Waiter had multiple conversations with the people sitting next to us. Construction view was terrible not a great way to enjoy a valentines dinner. Last but not least I ordered my steak medium rare, I was served rare. I didn’t really notice at first because it was so dark inside. Over all, terrible. Won’t ever be back.
Great night for Valentine meal/ our waiter Eric ,was fantastically personal on such a busy note. Food was Good but portion size for price was lacking. Biggest portion was dessert! Bar n lounge empty seats with a full restaurant/ we could have sat there earlier if we had known. Great old vegas that's needs to be advertised.
In Las Vas, we waited 30 mins for our table, I had one drink on the way there, and when we were seated, I was told that I was cut off from ordering a drink. We had a party of 10. There was nothing I did that gave them reason to cut me off. At that point we should have left but we stayed for over an hour, maybe even 2. It was Valentines. I did leave the table to the bar and they gave me a glass of wine. I had one drink there. Needless to say, I will never come back or recommend this place. I’m certain the person at the check in did it. When I got there my gf says we didn’t check in. So I let him know our party was there and gave home my name. The reservation was in my name. When I returned to the waiting area. Someone else in the party told me, they checked us in. We walked there from our hotel, no one was driving. I don’t quite understand your reasoning, but I’m over it. Never again. Party of 10
The food and service was second to none. Absolutely outstanding. Thank you
Very unique restaurant. The seating is tight and the table itself was small for four but it worked. Steak was very good and cooked perfectly.
We had a wonderful dinner to celebrate a Valentine's Day 50th birthday! The food was excellent and the service outstanding. We were so full, we had no room for dessert that was going to celebrate the milestone birthday!
I would have loved to be placed in the middle next time. I feel that everything was perfect from the moment I walked in till I left. That experience was one I will not forget along with the food. Look forward to more nights like that. Thank you
As Vegas residents, were celebrating my husband’s one year cancer survival with neighbors. Our table overlooked the new Fremont Street light show with a view of the action down below. Perfect atmosphere for a celebration. The steaks were as delicious as we’ve had anywhere in Vegas. My sidecar drinks were classic versions of the traditional steakhouse cocktail. We ordered a bottle of reasonably priced bottle of Malbec wine that everyone loved. We’ll be back!
We went to dinner for an early Valentine’s Day treat. Our food was wonderful and we also enjoyed the beautiful bar at Happy Hour. Superb chopped salad, great Prime Rib and lovely chocolate dessert! Highly recommended.
Best steak I've ever had! Can't wait to come back!
The hostess was not very friendly. Our waiter was very nice. We were not greeted friendly by the hostess and as we were leaving I asked where the restrooms were and she did not even look up and pointed to the door. For a restaurant in the price range we should have been greeted with a smile and some enthusiasm. She could have asked how our dinner was. Customer service is excellent in Las Vegas and with so much competition we would choose somewhere else next time. I am a local and we go out often. I also recommend places to visitors. Unfortunately the attitude of your hostess makes me not want to return. The food was good and our waiter was very good.
I am so sorry to hear that we have missed such an important part of the service! Our commitment is to deliver an exceptional and memorable experience every time. We value every guest that comes to our establishment. We care, therefore I would like to invite you back and show you a better time. Please, don’t hesitate to contact me at 702-386-7227 to make the reservation for your next visit! Ivan Daskalov, General Manager, Oscar’s
The food was excellent. Make sure to order your steak Oscar style it was delicious. And it’s cool to sit by the front so you can see out on Fremont Street. I would definitely go back to Oscars
Everything was going amazing until we recieved our food. We had our whole meal without being checked on. It was almost like we were forgotten about. I also noticed the busser boxed everyone elses food for them but just put the box on the table for myself to box. I've served tables before and I'm a bartender. So I felt awful about leaving a less than 20% tip on a $169 bill. I'm not looking to get anyone in trouble or anything for free but if we were different kind of people it would have been a whole different story especially with those kind of prices. There would have been huge scene if we weren't such laidback people.
Food was amazing, service was even better. We will be back for sure! Don't visit Freemont without stopping here for dinner.
What a great old Las Vegas experience. Great service and amazing food. A must visit
My girlfriends fillet steak was perfect, however my 24oz ribeye with bone in was very tough and fatty
This location was a pleasant surprise. The food was delicious and service was top notch. It's older and the chairs could really use a refurbishing. Nothing like sinking in to a hole when you sit to start the night. Otherwise, very enjoyable.
Valet NOT available upon arrival @ 5:30p.m., however, Plaza security allowed us to park at entrance.
Resort "casual dress" was not followed or seemed to be required !
Oscars never disappoints! The atmosphere is the best in downtown as far as I'm concerned. The wait staff is second to none, and if you want the best, ask for Bobby! He's the master of the menu and will have it brought out however you like.
I’ve been blessed to eat at mane fine restaurants across the country. This was of the best I’ve ever had. Mick was our server and was outstanding.
We made reservations and glad we did because the place was super busy which is always a good sign. The service was great and the food was really good. Go hungry because the portions are large. Iconic Vegas style restaurant and a must try.
Way too much food. Almost overwhelming
Oscar's is an old school steakhouse where location matters. Sitting at the end of Freemont Street, Oscar's offers tremendous views of old school Vegas lit up with a glow of lights. The service was good, some improvement could be made. Somehow my wife's order was mixed up. She ordered a filet and received a NY Strip. The steak was good, not great, but we enjoyed our evening. Likely a 3.5 star experience.
Food was delicious service was impeccable
I’ve never been to Oscars but I’ve been meaning to go for years. I have to say, this place didn’t live up to my expectations. The food was good. The service was ok. We had a good waitress and I don’t have any complaints about her but there was nothing more than ordinary here. The other employees we interacted with here weren’t as welcoming. The dress is whatever and the place kinda looks tiered and run down. I just don’t think you can experience anything different or even “old Vegas” like. I’ve been in town since 79 and these types of restaurants used to be a treat with table preped salads and deserts or at least a little more lively service. That’s not what you should expect here but they definitely held on to the really high prices for mediocre. That a lot of places on and of the strip these days though, I guess it’s just the times we live in, nothing classy anymore just excessive.
We had a fantastic time at Oscar’s!
The food, service, and food were superb! Will definitely go back.
Oscar’s is a true Vegas experience. The service, the views and most importantly the food exceeded all of our expectations. If you’re looking to celebrate a special occasion or just looking to have a great dining experience go to Oscar’s.
Service was a little slow, but the food was wonderful!
Amazing meal! Not something you’d expect to find in Downtown. Truly a hidden gem!
Best Steakhouse in Las Vegas. From front of house, to servers, bussers and mgmt. Everyone was pleasant, professional and above all made you feel like an old friend. The history of Old Las Vegas is all there. I had the Prime Rib, my buddy the Filet. We had eaten at Heritage two nights prior, but WOW Oscars has them beat. I am telling evryone, if you go to Las Vegas, and want an amazing dining experience, you need to go to Oscars!
All you need to do, is call and make a reservation. Then, ask for Bobby's section and you will have the best dining experience in Vegas. Seriously a top 5 dining experience that I've had anywhere and I've eaten in most of the top restaurants in the country. I'll be in every time I'm in town and even more frequently when we move to Las Vegas. Cheers Bobby and thank you for everything!
Oscars is a fantastic restaurant that I eat at every time I am in Las Vegas. Tonight was a little off. Everything was a little less perfect that it always seems to be there. To go from five stars to four stars still shows Oscars is a great place to eat and if you are in town you should give it a try.
