The steak was a very bad cut, very fatty and had a lot of gristle. they replaced it but the cut was not much better. Service was a bit slow and the tables were only half full. So they could not blame it on the busy time frame.
4 of us dine, 2 of us had a meal mess up. They sent Prime Rib instead of Rib Eye. The other 2 diners had great crab legs and stuffed shrimp, however - they dined alone as we didn't want them to wait for us to get our meal. Oscars did "make it right", by not charging us for the wrong order/then undercooked steak, and we appreciate that, however, it was our first time there and the steak wasn't "the best" after all. i would recommend the happy hour and ordering anytihng but ribeye.
We were there to celebrate mother’s day and my brothers retirement.. they brought out a happy Birthday dessert. Not happy
We enjoyed a nice, very traditional steak dinner at Oscar's. The food was good and our table looked out over Fremont street. One negative is that the two hostesses seemed to be sleep-walking through their jobs and could barely make any eye contact with us.
Everything was wonderful! And I had requested a booth overlooking outside and they met my request. Thank you!
I had a great dining experience; however, the majority of my party didn't. They found the food to be overpriced, and too small of portions. Another thing, to their point was that it would have been nice if the sides weren't a la carte because I think they would have felt like they were going more for their money. Honestly, I don't think that they understood that we were going to be dining at a Steakhouse versus a restaurant that would served an entree with sides. I had the surf and turf and it was absolutely delicious. My steak was seasoned perfectly (no Steak or Bearnaise sauces were needed) and my crab stuffed shrimp were cooked to perfection. Oh and my dirty martini was also PERFECT. Shaken and blended so smooth. The Blue cheese stuffed olives were also delicious (my server even brought me out an extra row per my request I love extra olives!!). The restaurant handled it very well when my friend (the bday girl) didn't like her steak and they comped it and let her sub it out for the jumbo stuffed shrimp. And they brought out a slice of cheesecake with a sifted coco or espresso powder that read "Happy Birthday." I thought it was a really sweet gesture. I would definitely come back and have the exact same thing. I really enjoyed myself. I also enjoyed the pictures with the celebrities and Oscar. You could see through those pictures how legendary this place is.
The Oscars team made my 60th birthday celebration the most amazing experience ever! Everyone was wonderful, and our waiter Juan was GREAT!!! The service was excellent and the food was outstanding!! Best night out for sure, THANK YOU for my most memorable bday gift, a perfect night out with my dear friends.
Amazing food and great atmosphere.
Our server Emma made our anniversary special. Food was great and service awesome!! Thank you Emma.
I cannot say enough about this restaurant! This was my second visit and again they exceeded my expectations! The food was delicious. The service impeccable. We were there for a birthday celebration and it could have been better! This steakhouse should be on your "must do" list when visiting downtown.
Service always awesome, cocktails on point, food is perfect.
The bone in steaks were amazing. Great service other than a small spill on one of the guests but it was clear liquid. I love the restaurant and view down old Fairmont. it is a great experience.
Excellent food, especially for steak lovers, and the service was awesome. Ask for Bobby if you can. One of downtown's best kept secrets.
We all had the strip loin which was amazing. One of us had a baked potato while the rest of us shared asparagus and brussell sprouts. The vegetables were disappointing. The view and the service was great. The booth was very cool.
Excellent food. Great service.
A little pricey for everyday dining but was a highlight of my Vegas trip.
We went for friends 50th bday. Our service was not great at all. For a higher end restaurant our waitress was quite flustered and not helpful with suggestions. We just got our credit card bill which we split up for her with our tip and the birthday girl has an extra 82.00 charge. All of have our own charges. Food was delicious. When we did arrive it was so cold inside we were shivering when air was running.
We decided to eat in the lounge to watch the Golden Knights game. Service was a bit slow but then it got worse. The bar filled up and there was only one server. Management was just standing around doing nothing. I got up twice to tell vth the hostess to get the manager to get this guy some help. The 2nd time she said she would send the manager over to our table. He finally showed up about 20 minutes later to talk to the other people at our table. They had to go to the bar to get their drinks. We had ordered two more glasses of wine and that took 20 minutes to get. My husband gently told the manager that he was sure he was capable of helping out with the guests which he finally did but not until most of the bar had cleared out. Not sure if someone called out for their shift but very poor management.
Outstanding wine, entrees, sides, and service.
My prime rib was overcooked. It was remade. The second was a better temperature but was tough. Prime rib should melt in your mouth. The sides were cold. I don't mind a premium for great food, but I did not get good value for my money.
Before going to a show at the Smith Center, I get a reservation at Oscar's Steakhouse! The Steakhouse also has a shuttle that will take you, and pick you up from the show --- that's a definite plus. I always want to sit in "Bobbie's" section because he's just a wonderful waiter. He gives greats service, is attentive to your needs, professional, definitely knowledgeable of the menu and very friendly. The restaurant itself has a nice ambience, is welcoming, and if there is anything negative to say (which for me is not something that bothers me) it would be that when the restaurant gets busy, the volume does tend to increase. Other than that, "just enjoy!"
Tasha and help assistant were awesome. Everything was great, the bone-in-rib eye was very flavorful. A little more fat than I would prefer, but overall great place.
Oscar's location at the head of Fremont Street makes it the best dinner in the area. The view is worth it.
Celebrated an anniversary. Food was of high-quality and quite delicious. I recommend the crabcakes. Loads of crab not a lot of bread crumb filling. Great location under the dome.
Food was great! Bobby, our waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable about the restaurant and Vegas history!
Pricey but very good service-very good food & very nice atmosphere. I visit every time I’m in Vegas.
The filet mignon was great. It was thick, flavorful and well worth the price. I had order sides of asparagus which were huge and the corn which were delicious. Nice ambiance and great place for a romantic dinner.
Nice place. Good service. Unfortunately, I had a steak which was underdone (I order medium no blood but pink)
The steak A rib eye, was extremely full of grizzle and an over supply of fat.
Needless to say, I was very disappointed.
I did pay the 700 bill. I did tell my server who advised O should have told her first before plated were cleaned.
One in my party of 6 also stated his steak was not good.
This was my second visit to Oscar’s I am sorry but I will not return.
Celebrated my mother's 60th birthday. Great food and ambiance, great place for a date night, birthday or a special occasion. The pork chop is a must have!!!!
What a classy joint! Everything was top notch. We got picked up at The Smith Center by Cedric, the limo driver, who provided excellent service. The restaurant has a great atmosphere-lots of nostalgia decorate the walls. We were greeted by a very courteous staff and taken to our table. The waitress quickly introduced herself and her helper, and both of them were extremely courteous, attentive, and professional. Our waitress recommended the New York Steak for one of us and it was exquisite, as was all of our meals. The whole dining experience was great and we were taken back to The Smith Center, by Cedric, to enjoy a show.
Absolutely, positively a 5 star recommend.
Wonderful service, presentation was beautiful and food was amazing.
Can’t say enough. Food and service were fantastic
We parked at the main valet yet when we returned were told we had to walk (via a super sketchy area) to pick it up from another valet.
The service was excellent and the glass-domed restaurant is a cool concept but we’d never eat here again. There are way superior steak houses with better quality food and much better sides in nicer hotels for the same price point: Mastros, STK, Gordon Ramsey, Bazaar meats...anywhere but here. $260 for 2 for an ok meal.
We also noted on the reservation it was for my husbands birthday but they did nothing even though we mentioned it again while ordering 2 desserts.
Greeted by 2 lovely hostesses. Taken to our table right away. Our servers name was Bobby. made us feel comfortable right away. We started with 3 apps Crab cakes, calamari & artichokes. One better than the other. My guests said best Crab cakes they ever had. We ordered the house Cabernet & it was fantastic ! I ordered the Filet along with one of my guest & the other ordered the bone in Ribeye. We ordered 5 sides all tasty with my favorite being the Mac & Cheese. The Chef Jeff was the manager also & came by our table to check on us & the food. Again my guests couldn't stop talking about hoe great the food was. He sent us out complimentary desserts ! Bobby kept checking on us all night & kept our wine glasses full. My special guest this evening was Hall of Fame hockey player pictured. He said Oscars rates with all the top steakhouses in Chicago. I want to thank the whole staff for making this dinner amazing!
Food was excellent and our waiter, Nick, was amazing
The food was fabulous as were the cocktails. The best shrimp cocktail with enormous perfectly poached shrimp. The Caesar salad was also perfect with just the right amount of anchovy. I had a Vesper and my husband had an Old Fashioned. Both were delicious and potent. Our steak was also done to perfection as were the sides of creamed spinach, baked potato and Brussels sprouts
Really great food. I grew up in Vegas. Loved the chicken soup from the Alpine Village! Steaks were great. My only complaint was a very dis-interested hostess when we checked in she was almost unfriendly. The waitress on the other hand was an absolute gem. Overall, it was like being in Vegas when I grew up. Loved it.
This was my favorite place in Vegas. We loved the food and the atmosphere. Our waiter, Nick, was great too. He’s been in Vegas a long time and we enjoyed hearing about some of it’s history from him.
Really cool location, everything else is just average
Had an excellent experience at Oscar’s! Service was excellent and the food was even better!
I love their warm friendly atmosphere and that it is Vegas style. The people there are wonderful.
