In 1969 Sam and Aiko Nakanishi opened the first Japanese restaurant in Las Vegas and named it after their hometown, Osaka. Located just off the strip, it became a local favorite. Thirty years later their daughter Joy opened the Summerlin location spreading Las Vegas's favorite flavors of Japan to the newest part of town. Drawing on the well-established tradition of quality the restaurant was an immediate success. Please enjoy the multicultural experience she and her staff are proud to share.

Didn't even get to eat there. Made a reservation for 7, had a show to see at 9:30. Would not have been able to get to show in time by the time they would have been able to seat us. Had to go eat somewhere else. Other people with reservations for 7 were also waiting & not expected to be seated prior to 8:30. Obviously can't really speak for the food, but the ambiance was fairly loud & unpleasant, & not really what I'd expect from a Japanese steakhouse, & the host was fairly rude, unhelpful & all over the place. Won't be going back.

Good restaurant. Music was a little too loud. Should consider offering WiFi.

We enjoyed having dinner at Osaka Summerlin. It was my first time to Osaka. Bar was amazing. Great selection. Food was very good. You will never walk away hungry. We will be back.

the food is overpriced when you try to get something else from the menu that is over the groupon value., and they dont serve enough food. We've been to other teppanyaki restaurants where they give you plenty of food and for the same price.

Food was great but the service was off. Waitress forgot one appetizer until we were done with meal. She also forgot our drinks and had to wait 7 minutes for it. Didn't really get checked on as much as we use to like we normally do. We will still come back since we know the manager and have always had great service other than this last visit.

So we had a reservation but waited over 30 minutes for our chef to be done at another table to be able to cook our food. No one informed us of this so we just sat there starving watching other people for 30 minutes and without drinks for 20 of those. Once things got going the chef was funny. Food was good, not the best hibachi ever. The one thing that drove us crazy is that in between two tables where the chef stands, the employees kept walking behind the chef cleaning other tables and what not but when they did this since it's a small space their clothing went into the food EVERY SINGLE TIME. Disgusting. Also we had a Groupon and it stated you could get a hibachi meal for up to $32 per person. Well anything over $32 was either a $10 up charge or $17 up charge even if it was only $38. Kind of annoying.

We waited over 40 min even though we had a reservation. Waitress was pleasant but acknowledged one birthday at table, but not my friends, even though I told her about it when we were seated and she acknowledged she understood. I had to check in with 3 different people playing hostess before they even seated us. Hibachi chef was lack luster and all food tasted the same, like oil, very bland. We got served oily vegetables and long pause until fried rice or meats. Louder odd music with strange lighting, obtuse dj booth, unorganized staff, debris filled stations and hibachi cart. Bathroom was not clean with floor drain popped out in middle of floor. Very embarrassed that I purchased Groupon and brought friends out for birthday. Will not be returning. We all ate, so food was palatable but bland. Just disappointed as from Groupon site and Summerlin location, I expected this to be a nicer experience. The icing on the cake was when we got to parking lot to leave, I had an email that I had been cited as a no show. Open table did correct this (thank you) But despite my checking in 3 times, this restaurant still reported me as a no show.
