Osaka Japanese Cuisine
In 1969 Sam and Aiko Nakanishi opened the first Japanese restaurant in Las Vegas and named it after their hometown, Osaka. Located just off the strip, it became a local favorite.
Thirty years later their daughter Joy opened the Summerlin location spreading Las Vegas's favorite flavors of Japan to the newest part of town. Drawing on the well-established tradition of quality the restaurant was an immediate success.

Good service good food
we were surprised by the patrons who didn't wear their masks enough. The groups at the hibachi tables did not practice social distancing. The food and service were great, though. I just wish they more carefully enforced health safety issues.
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday, it was his first time at a teppanyaki restaurant and Osaka was perfect! Our cook Sam made him feel extra special during his cooking performance. Dinner was amazing, meat was perfect and we even tried one of the sushi rolls which was really impressive too. On our way out we stopped by the bar and they even gave him a free Sake shot. This was our first time here but definitely not our last, Thank you Osaka!

Have been to Osaka on S. Eastern many times . Moved to Summerlin recently and expected the same service. Boy was I wrong. The waitress lacked serious attentiveness. Our drinks were mostly empty and when I finally got her attention to fill my glass she ONLY filled mine and left. Then 50 minutes after we arrived to our reservation did we get our first order. And they weren’t busy. There was 1 other top with customers and 1 hibachi in use. I will never be returning to this location
Food mediocre and music was too loud.

Birthday dinner for daughter-in-law
It was a terrific dinner. My wife and I had a great time. Sam was our chef. He’s amazing! And Ocean was our server. What a team!!!
We have a lot of Japenese steakhouses where we’re from so this was pretty similar. It was a great experience and value but for some reason the restaurant is extremely hot and not because the grills are going it was just really hot in general.
Spent 2times the price of a all you can eat- spent $120
Wile a all you can eat costs $65.00 for 2 people
Eh- this was just ok. They weren’t great at social distancing, so we moved from hibachi to our own table. I’ve been to the original location and it’s wonderful. Summerlin felt like it doesn’t get the same TLC. The furniture is worn, the chairs don’t match, my menu was greasy, and people were seated too close together COVID or not. I was looking for a more traditional Japanese atmosphere like at the other location, and this felt like sloppy hibachi. Do yourself a favor and skip this location and go to the other.
Restaurant did not have paper/disposable menus and the ones we were provided I didn't see being sanitized.

Our Chef at the Hibachi table was Roy. He was great. Funny and a wonderful chef. The service is always great there.
We had a reservation for 7:00 pm. We were seated in a few minutes. We sat there until 7:26 without anyone approaching our table to take a drink order, or say hi. So we walked out and went elsewhere.
Also this did not make us leave but the restaurant is not abiding by the COVID restrictions of 50% max capacity, seating at only every other table, no seating at the bar etc. All those rules are broken, they don’t care. Staff is wearing masks, that’s the only rule followed.
We love Sam, the cook and Daffny and Ocean. We love the food and all the staff!

This restaurant has fantastic sushi. It have a big menu with Hibachi and traditional Japanese fair. The Bento boxes are a little boring. However, many of the appetizers can be meals as well as their noodle soups. The bar is well stocked and I love the blackberry martini. Social distancing is well done and a nice selection of desserts are available.
We had a group of four, sat at the teppanyaki table and really enjoyed our dinner. Om was our chef and he did a great job of cooking and entertaining us. Food was delicious. We will definitely go there again.
We had to ask for the salad which is part of the dinner. Service was not up to expectations.
We bought a groupon. We still ended up paying $300 for 5 people. Total rip off. They up charge you for every little thing. And it’s not a $1-2 up charge, it was $15-19. Ridiculous.
They have changed, shrimp appetizers no longer included and the portions are much smaller. Won’t be going back again.
The service was excellent. The restaurant was able to accommodate us, even though the app did not send our reservation. We provided them proof of our reservation. We were still seated with minimal wait. The food was excellent. I would say for the price, I would expect more for the value. I have been to hibachi restaurants and usually leave full, but here I left hungry which was a first. The food was cooked at different times not at all the same time, which lead to people eating at different times. It was an odd experience.
The service was great and everything tasted great except the fried rice was on the bland side

Food was well-prepared without going overboard on the garlic as some hibachis tend to go in Las Vegas. Staff was efficient and friendly, albeit constantly rushing to turn over the Teppanyaki tables.
It was a nice dinner and the chief was great but the waiter, Erin was not very friendly and kind of turn off ish. Was not friendly and sarcastic. Probably won’t return again, will try other places.

We had reservations for 6 people at 5pm for hibachi. They sat about 20 other customers at the same exact time as us with one sever. It took forever to get served and when I finally got wine it tasted like vinegar from being open in a bottle too long. Therefore, almost a hour went by before I got anything to drink. Food was ok.
Atmosphere was good, must’ve come on a not busy night. Food? Good. Drink? Good. Service? Good.
Always a favorite .... always excellent service ... always incredible food. We’ve been going to Osaka for 20 years and never been disappointed!! My husband’s favorite are the scallops although he had shrimp this time and loved it. I had the fillet and it was delicious.
My family and I had a fantastic dinner and hibachi experience at Osaka! Sam, our chef, was great with our two young daughters and was outgoing and friendly with the entire table. Our server was great too! We visit this restaurant each time we’re in Vegas, and they never disappoint.
Great food with attentive staff. We celebrated a birthday and anniversary. Staff was accommodating. Our chef Joe made great food while entertaining.
Got Groupon which seemed like a good deal until they added 18% gratuity on the full amount (prior to Groupon price) This is their policy for parties of 6 or more. We were 5 adults and a 3 YEAR OLD. I normally tip 20% anyway but felt forced into this and didn't like it.
The chicken was over cooked which caused it to be dryer out. The lobster tail was an added $14 upcharge to the Groupon and was full on sand which caused evey bite to be gritty and un edible. I personally would have sent it back but was not the one that ordered it. Service was prompt and chef was very friendly, funny and entertaining. Over all, glad we went just didn't care for the $$ surprises.
