Located in Binfield Heath, Henley on Thames. Orwells' Kitchen is headed up by Michelin starred chef Ryan Simpson & Liam Trotman. The aim is to source the best produce available locally and beyond to prepare delicious dishes with no fuss to let the quality of the produce shine. The kitchen takes a rural approach combined with modern cooking. The restaurants' been recognised in all the major guides and have continued to hold 4AA rosettes consecutively for 8 years. We have a nice relaxing lounge area and the atmosphere is cosy and classy. The garden area has great views and is open on warm days for dining. We are also dog friendly.

Orwells offers a choice of Al a carte, Wednesday - Sunday alongside a Tasting menu.
The Lunch menu runs from Wednesday to Sunday, its £45 for 2 courses and £55 for three courses. Sunday has a roast offering which in £55 2 courses & £65 3 courses, alongside the tasting menu and A la carte

Really recommended, lovely Sunday roast, food was perfect and well presented. we went for 3 courses and was a lot of food! Maybe nexts time for sunday roast just main and desserts. The service girls were lovely all of them. The only thing about the service was that we wait a long time between starters and mains.. We will come back for another occasion to try the others days menu

A wonderful experience from beginning to end. The ambiance, food and service were all superb. Expensive yes but in this case we got what we paid for. Will definitely visit again.

We have eaten at Orwell’s a few times now but the last time was a couple of years ago, every time the food has been good and there is always a concern whether things may have changed. But there was no need to worry with Orwell’s, the only change was to be even better than we remembered! From the signature Ploughmans dish (not what you may think) which was as delicious as ever, through fantastic lobster and fish, to lamb (which my partner doesn’t normally like but really enjoyed), a vegetarian bolognaise and a chicken and mushroom dish with no chicken, to the best piece of duck I have eaten for a very long time, perfectly cooked - our only suggestion was to serve it with no sides as it was so good! Everything was perfectly done. When we were asked what our favourite dish was it was impossible to say as they were all so good. The only slight disappointment was the options on wine - my husband loves burgundy and the choices were a bit limited but the wine list did have many other options. We will definitely be going back again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Orwell’s. Setting is lovely and food was excellent. There was a slight lack of atmosphere in the dining room as we were at the only table occupied. That’s circumstance, nothing that can be altered by the restaurant. We shall revisit of an evening. We did feel that there was too long a gap between courses but that is personal taste and we appreciate that everything was freshly cooked. We shall definitely be back.

A superb first meal at Orwells. From the warm greeting to the "goodbyes" at the end of a lovely evening, we had an exceptionally fine experience. The food is stunning, innovative, beautifully presented and delicious. The service is highly professional and efficient, the pace was just right, and friendly. Everything was done "properly" if you know what we mean by that. We chose a Romanian wine that was recommended by the chef which was a new one for us and great value for the quality. We were very impressed and will definitely go back! Thank you. Nick & Chris.
