Service was exceptional, entrees were delicious but dessert was undercooked and sought Apple strudel.

Perfect service! Great drinks; fancy, delicious food where I know there won't be any screaming from the next table over! Great location and easy to get to and park. Always something different to choose from and portions are perfect. I love coming here!

My wife and I have been there about 20 times... each time getting something different. Only restaurant in my 53 years that I've experimented so much with the menu. Neither one of us have ever been disappointed. Highly recommended.

Another great overall dining experience! Only mark against is the first table we sat down to was wobbly. We moved to a booth and that was very comfortable. It was a little cold in the restaurant. The wine and entrée were phenominal. Service was great as well. Thank you so much for a great anniversary celebration!

Met a local friend here for dinner. Great fresh fish dishes prepared with local ingredients and creatively plated. Good friendly service and a nice wine list. We enjoyed our evening.

The dinner salads are getting smaller, the dish I have ordered in the past, that I enjoyed very much was changed enough that I would not order again.

Food was ok. Ordered the steak special, which was over priced and very grisly. Half of it was left as not edible and a waste at $32. It had been awhile since I dined there and won't be rushing back. The whole meal felt rushed as clearing dishes was a constant. There was no reason to rush as the place was half empty and with good reason.

This place regularly cleans up on the Best of the Valley polls hosted by the Statesman-Journal newspaper. It is a bit spendy, but several entrees are between $15-$20, and the ones we had were quite filling. The appetizers (aka "shared plates") are also unique and I recommend the parmesan wrapped crab - essentially a crab cake on a big parmesan tuile with a brie sauce. If the weather is good, try the rooftop garden.

I went on a Friday for happy hour in a group of three and had a great time. Food was so good. We stuck with just the small/shared plates menu because it was 1/2 off for happy hour. Everything was great! Service was wonderful--they were very attentive. Only negative was that it was too quiet for my taste at 6:30pm on a Friday evening. I like I nice energetic vibe, but if you prefer quiet, I recommend happy hour here!

Made reservations for Mothers Day. Failed to read reviews. Waited too long for meal. Salads came out before appetizers. We were told daily Kids meals (fried chicken) were not available as we were being served main course. We ordered at 5:30 pm. We had asked for the kids meals to come with appetizers. Told kids meals (12 noodles with red sauce) would be taken off bill. Bill came still on there. Asked waitress and told us she couldn't take them off. Food was okay but seemed every plate was missing something from the description. Peas and mini carrots in pasta C'mon. Scallops on mashed potatoes? I don't get it. Paid way too much for bad service and *meh* food. Not worth it.

The food wasn't that great and it was WAY overpriced for the portion sizes. The cheese plate appetizer had one piece of cheese, a few olives & grapes. One slice of tomato cut in half, thinly sliced 1/4 of an apple and two pieces of toast baguettes. The steak in the Tex Mex was tough. The salmon fettuccini looked like the salmon was dumped out of a can. The price you pay isn't worth the value of the food. Very disappointed. :(

Hans does it right every time. He is the best cook in all of Oregon.

His restaurant is made to accommodate all. You feel welcome the minute you walk in the door.

Orupa always does such a nice job. Preparation and presentation are first class, the staff is relaxed yet attentive, and the noise level is pleasant. We often go there as a family for special occasions and we always enjoy ourselves. The menu is wide-ranging yet not overwhelming. Highly recommend.

My duck came out frozen. FROZEN. The center of my duck leg was frozen solid. The appetizers were bland and the drinks took forever to get to us. They replaced my meal with the steak and it was undercooked but flavored very well. I felt they should have made my meal complimentary, instead we got two free desserts totaling around 14 dollars. Considering our check came out to nearly 200 dollars I'd say I was thoroughly disappointed. My friends and I will never eat here again.

Orupa was recommended by friends who said it was great and we weren't disappointed. Broad menu so there was something for everyone with very good small plates to share. Entrees were very good and price was reasonable. Good drinks and yummy desserts too. Great service! Would highly recommend!

Our service was great for even a busy New Year's eve. The food was superb but my husband's sword fish arrived not as warm as it should have been and my Fettuccine was delicious, but lost it's warmth in about 2 minutes. We determined that the crockery was ice cold when the food was plated and detracted from what could have been a great meal..

The atmosphere was great, the service was spot on, my steak was wonderful and the presentation was beautiful. My partner had shrimp scampi that was horrible. She reports it was cold, tough, and tasted as if it had been boiled in sock water. It was not sauted in anything. Disappointment at almost $30.00 a plate. I wanted to send it back but she did not want to cause a scene since this was Christmas eve. This was supposed to be our big Christmas celebration. Bummer. Not sure if we can recommend this again or not. Hard to drop $30.00 on nothing and might not want to risk it again.

Expensive. Appetizers were 1/2 price for happy hour I would never pay full price for the amount of food but they were good. Service and atmosphere were great. I would make this more of a regular spot if cost was more reasonable.

Everything well-prepared. A sazerac right out of NOLA. My wife is gluten-intolerant. They don't relegate her to a separate menu; they simply adjust the dish. Service excellent.

We went on Thanksgiving afternoon, expecting a crowded noisy place, and were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant was moderately full, with no waiting. We had a before-dinner drink, but no non-alcoholic beer on the premises...which would have been my choice. The Caesar salad had iceberg lettuce mostly, cut in a way I had not had before, and did not prefer. We received three tiny biscuits for a table for two... What made this into a visit to try again was the quality and portion size of the entrees...we had the traditional turkey dinner, which came with cast-iron-cooked stuffing without breading, two large slabs of turkey breast, mashed sweet potato, and tiny asparagus spears. It was arranged in Northwest cuisine style, and tasted even better than it looked. We both agreed later that we will go to Orupa again...
