The seafood was excellent, the drink menu had some traditional cocktails and some newer additions, and everything was great. Would definitely recommend coming here for a date.
One of the best restaurants in Miami. Great food and service!
Have wanted to come here for years I but moved out of state not long after it opened. Just what I imagined. French Caribbean foods in a tropic themed setting. The surprise was the depth and breadth of the wine list. Will be back soon!
Dinner was good. Ortanique provides a consistent and unusual menu. It is the perfect mix of what you know with a wild side.
Ortanique is one of the few restaurants that you can count on the quality of the food being consistent. We always have a good experience. Friday night our waiter JoeJoe made the evening especially enjoyable. He was friendly, helpful, and consistently positive throughout the meal. He added tremendously to an already wonderful meal.
Excellent service, delicious food.
We went late because we went after a show. Service was excellent and food was good. I did notice that the fritters smelled like they had been fried in old, dirty oil. However, everything else was fine and Kevin at the bay was awesome!
Great food and terrific service.
I enjoyed everything about this place. The ambiance, the food, and service are second to none. The owner, Delius, even came to speak to my table personally, and was very warm and friendly l, even though he was busy helping to run the business. I will DEFINITELY be back and would highly recommend it. ONE OF THE BEST RESTAURANTS IBE BEEN TO IN A WHILE.
Wonderful ambience. Excellent food and service.
Excellent. Valentines day dinner with my love was great.
100% of the time, Ortanique delivers!! Thanks for always providing a consistent environment with extra ordinary food. Customer for life!
Love Ortantanique! The food is excellent. Best bartenders, waiters, cooks kitchen staff & Chef!
Have dined here for years, still the best seared tuna I have ever tasted. Be sure to order their signature Caribbean seared tuna along with some amazing ceviche.Staff is friendly and welcoming, great ambiance. Highly recommended!
We made a reservation for outside seating and when we got there on time, no place available outside. Very disappointing because it was one of our beautiful nights and it was my birthday. Also the food is usually great but I ordered the jerk chicken penne and it was so blah. No flavor. It is usually amazing.
Love it and always happy with the entire experience.
Very good meal, interesting food, excellent service, very inviting setting
Tables are extremely close together....service was good. Ariel was very attentive. Food runners could let table what they are dropping and ask if we need anything and also, almost were given a different tables appetizer. Food was very enjoyable, apps are tiny though.
Cindy needs to get back in the kitchen. Her old reliable dishes were not very good. If this were the first time I went to Ortanique, I would never go back.
Ortanique never disappoints! Even after 20 years, the service, experience, and more importantly, food quality are fresh and new. Fantastic!
Food was excellent and service outstanding.
First time to the restaurant. Nice ambiance. Little busy / moderate noise level. Great food and amazing server. Extremely knowledgeable and clearly loves his profession. (Thank you, Joe Joe!) Will definitely go back. Would like to try a high top in the back bar. That looked super cute!
Food was great. Only problem was reservation was for party of 6, confirmed # before seating but was sat at a table for 5. Had to wait 15 mins for them to squeeze in another place setting at our table as the restaurant was full. But still had a great night!
EVERYONE was do delicious and well prepared. My favorite restaurant in all of Miami!!!
The food was very tasty but it took a very long time for our entrees to be served. We were going to a show after our dinner and we were concerend that we would not make it. We did make it, but the food took too long
The restaurant was very good. I enjoyed the food we ordered, would definitely go back there.
We enjoy coming here. Came last Friday night 1/17 again. The maitre d' Gigi is terrific. This place is consistently good all-around. The short rib appetizer was terrific. Came in a crepe. And the Cuban cod fritters were unique and outstanding. Usually when you get cod croquettes in Miami at the bakeries they tend to be too dry and just not good. However, these were very different and definitely most unique. Must try. They're not that overpowering either for those afraid.
It was date night with my wife, and decided to pay another visit to this quintessential gem in the middle of Coral Gables. The ambiance was quiet, romantic and inspiring. They had a wine tasting activity prior to dinner that proved to be very good, with more than 20 different wines with appetizers for $20. I ordered the fix price menu and it was great! She ordered the Tuna Tartare and Mahi Mahi, both wonderfully prepared and served. We had the house merlot which was a good companion to the plates ordered and it was very affordable. For dessert, we had the Mango Tres Leches. It was great! Overall, a great experience, great service, lively bar, great menu, excellent wine selections and wonderful food. Definitely will recommend.
Fantastic! The salmon was delicious
I love this place. Food is flavorful and one of the few places in Miami that I think are worth the prices for the quality. Drinks are amazing!! Well made mixologist-style not just thrown together like a joke. I enjoy going there and always enjoy the meals and ambiance.
Amazing and unique Caribbean spices, taste and quality. A local gem to enjoy!
Very cozy and pleasant place. Great for a date or a celebration!
Excellent overall experience!
We (= 2, tourists visiting from France) had a wonderful dinner at Ortanique on the Mile. Great food (including cool vegetarians options), nice wine list, helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.
Had not been there in a while. Found the food and service outstanding as usual. They even ran out of Mcallan 12 (single malt) and our second drink was substituted with Mc 18.
Ortanique has been a favorite with me and my friends for many years. I have never been disappointed. Everybody, including the hostesses, bartenders, and servers are always welcoming. The food is consistently good and although I am not a vegetarian I often enjoy the nightly vegetarian entree because it is always excellent. The wine list is good with some reasonably priced options. The bar is well-stocked with a nice selection of wines by the glass. Now that the Miracle Mile improvements are complete they have an expanded seating area out front. There's convenient parking behind the restaurant in the city garage. You can enjoy a stroll on Miracle Mile after dinner.
Place & food was AMAZING!!!! You have to try the RUM CAKE!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Excellent food, service and atmosphere
