Wonderful celebratory lunch with attentive staff. Glorious sunny setting. Food was delicious! Can’t wait for corona shutdown to end so we can go back! Thanks to all the staff on Sunday for a lovely lunch!
Excellent food, great service, friendly staff. Can’t be faulted!
Civilised meal in pleasant, cool, surroundings with fine view of lovely Marylebone.
Service sophisticated and attentive.
Red wine by the glass we both straightaway agreed was a little oxidised. Sommelier smoothly and graciously replaced it, opening a fresh bottle in front of us at the table. It had been his recommendation and the fresh glasses hit the mark. These things can happen, but handled discreetly.
Overall a pleasurable experience - we will be back.
very good value, very sunny light white ambiance, excellent service
Always a reliable restaurant to visit - good welcome, fine menu and always kept smart by regular attention to the decor throughout.
We had a very nice meal the staff were friendly and attentive and the Maitre De helped us out to rescue one particular meal !
A little but disappointed that a fixed price menu should have a number of supplements and can’t see why a cheese dessert should command an extra £10
Another really enjoyable Orrery experience. I must admit that the special limited choice menu is an attraction! If you go off piste the cost could rise steeply.
But there are excellent choices on this menu and the level of service is impeccable without being in any way obsequious.
We were two, and had different choices for each course: all six dishes were extremely good.
Apart from anything else, Orrery is an oasis of tranquility - unlike so many restaurants.
We’ll be back!
Great meal. Well done
Really good evening!
The food is always great but the service is slow. For a relaxing lunch this is super, but for a working lunch over 2.5 hours is just too long for a three-course set-lunch menu.
The slowest service I’ve ever experienced. Wouldn’t recommend.
Really lovely surprise find. We stumbled upon it in Marylebone and had a gorgeous set lunch. The restaurant is light and airy, the staff charming and it over-looks a lovely garden square.
Great food and wonderful service!
Fab as always! One of my favourite places to eat in London. Attentive staff and great food available on the Sunday lunch set menu. Good value for money in a relaxing and contemporary setting.
Wonderful restaurant which never disappoints! Reunion dinner with old friends passing through London was superb -- changed tables easily to accommodate my wife and provided excellent service throughout,. Staff are all well trained in assisting with selections. We had the set menu with champagne and the food was exquisite. Not an inexpensive option but for the right occasion well worth it!
Great service and very tasty food - generous portions too
Orrery sets the standard for French fine dining in London.
It was well run and food was amazing
Beautiful atmosphere with great food. All round really pleasant experience and very good value too. Can’t wait to come back! Thanks
Great, tasty food with a flawless service. Strongly recommend.
Been looking forward to going to the Orrery for some time but I’m afraid with so many good options it’s not quite up to par. Food was under seasoned, both my girlfriend and I thought, and whilst presentation was good overall flavour and texture balance was lacking.
Fine dining in a very relaxed atmosphere with ample room between tables. Service very friendly and unhurried
We do go regularly to the Orrery and we enjoy it each time. The food is very good and the location is very convenient in a lovely neighbourhood. I would definitely recommend it for all sorts of occasion, one is never disappointed and of course the staff is attentive without overwhelming.
Think a case of possibly too many bookings being taken for the front of house staff to cope with in the pre Christmas frenzy.
The food is superb, the service is attentive and very accommodating, everyone was really nice and friendly despite being busy. The only area they could improve is overall interior design.
Visited for lunch with a group of 7. Food was nice however service was terrible. The restaurant was busy however they were very slow from taking our orders and bringing the food. The lunch took over two and half hours. Most of the dishes were nice but some seemed rushed and not up to their usual quality. A staff member spilled a sauce on the floor which splashed on some of us and stained our clothing. I will not be visiting again unfortunately as they charged a cover charge per person and service which was not worth the experience we had on the day.
Excellent service, delicious food. Very highly recommended.
Great location in Marylebone. Food exceptional and great value.
We had a lovely evening . The staff were very attentive making for a very relaxing evening . The taster menu was special .
friendly service and great food
Unfortunately the winter terrace was in shambles and not anything like pictured on the website or their instagram. It was a disappointing evening as that was the main reason for us booking the venue
Maybe it doesn't have the commanding views of its new sibling, 14 Hills, but the food is so much better. I had the Tournedos again and the difference was notable. Either side of that the salmon gravlax was beautifully fresh and the cheese board really appealed to my taste buds being predominantly soft cheeses. The main restaurant sits over the Conran shop and is long and slim, so loses a bit of ambience bit it makes conversation easy. Friendly staff and mainly very attentive. For a Tuesday night it was busy so clearly a local favourite. I'd go again.
Excellent food, friendly staff, lovely environment.
We revisited Orrery with friends who had not eaten here before. As usual the food serviette and ambiance were all great. Orrery remains a favourite for elegant dining. We all ate from the a la carte menu and were not disappointed. Highly recommend the Orrery for a sophisticated and civilised evening out.
Lovely food, well served. Nice ambience, though a lot of background noise. First visit. Will be back.
