Excellent food. Great service. We love your corn chowder. Best steak I have had in a very long time. Interesting cocktail menu. Great wines.

Nice place, great service, but really loud. Had to literally scream at one another to hear each other.

The food was wonderful, our server was friendly. Tables were not too close together.
But - it was so loud that we couldn't really speak to each other and it was giving my husband a terrible headache.

We reserved on a day when they were offering a limited menu (a Sunday with no brunch) which was not communicated to us. They did tell us, once we were seated, we could leave if we were not happy with the short menu, but we adjusted. There were only a few other people in the restaurant and we know their food is usually very good, so we stayed. Unfortunately, three out of four orders were not delivered as requested. The two burgers ordered medium rare were very, very rare. I ate mine although it was purple red, but my daughter left over half of hers because it looked "just too bloody." The request to hold tomatoes from the wrap for another diner was completely ignored. We would have pointed these things out and asked for corrections, but for most of the meal--including when we wanted the bill--our waitress was doing other things and we couldn't get her attention. A really disappointing experience at what I typically think of as a very nice place. We probably won't return.

We've had positive experiences at Oro in the past. The noise level when we went last Thursday made that experience unpleasant. There was a boisterous party of six at one end of the room, and it was difficult to have a normal conversation at our table. At the point we left the restaurant, the party next to us asked to move their table because of the noise level. The salmon I ordered was good, but the risotto my spouse ordered was underwhelming. I am sure we will return in the future, hoping for a better experience.

We arrived early and were happy they were able to seat us at a table by the window. Waitress was very nice but we had to ask for silverware and napkins. I was disappointed with the menu - I had looked at it online but thought it must be abbreviated so I was was surprised when that's all there was. Fortunately there were 2 specials. I would say the place is very noisy, food is just okay - nothing special for the price, we will search for someplace different next time we visit the area.

Food and service were excellent- the special dinner was not described correctly which diminished the overall experience.

Food was outstanding.Waitress was very friendly .There seems to be a big disconnect between bar, kitchen and dining area. Drinks took forever even though it was very early and not busy. Wait for food too long...No bread served while waiting for meal. The noise was terrible and the restaurant was not that busy . Chairs at tables way too low. This is too bad as the food is very very good...maybe they should offer takeout.

Excellent offerings and service... one of few best fine dining options on south shore - creative, well prepared, dishes and very friendly, attentive staff. Nice bar area and view into kitchen, and quieter side dining room. Excellent!

We didn't have a reservation and the only available table was in the bar area. We don't drink but we knew the noise level would increase and it did. But the service was excellent as was all four of our dinners although a bit pricey. We would definitely go there again.

This was my first time at Oro. What a great find. Four of us had a lovely dinner. The food was fantastic. I had the haddock with potato latkes with a spectacular meunière sauce. This was cooked perfectly. My friends had the crab risotto, which she said was fresh and delicious, the pork chop with hush puppies which was reported to be tender and flavorful and the misto of tuna and salmon which was bright and clean and well seasoned. This place really is a gem and our server was wonderful.

There are not a lot of options in Scituate. I had steak and it was good not great. They need to improve the drink menu

Great food and great service. The dollar oysters on the first Friday of each month are the best! Jessica and Amy provide superior service.

Another fabulous Date Night at Oro. Even with the great energy and vibe in the restaurant, we were able to have a romantic dinner together. The new menu has great choices too.

As usual, another excellent dining experience at Oro. We tried a few items from the new summer menu, they did not disappoint. Risotto with crab & asparagus was delicious. The Haddock was tasty and light, great preparation. They also have good options for kids. Our daughter tried the grilled cheese and gave two 👍🏼.
One of our favorite restaurants.

Good food and service. The clam chowder had a strong bacon taste and was very good. Honored our request for a window table. Quite noisy on a Saturday night; difficult to hear the person across the table.

If you enjoy eating at a rave then this is the place for you. However, if you enjoy actually having a conversation at a human decibel level then I would stay away from this place.

Whenever we are at home my reservation is made for dinner at Oro.
We banter around about going somewhere else but why bother.
Oro service is always topnotch and the food is all of my favorites in one dinner. They will also split an entrée for my husband and myself.
Don't miss the misto and save room for cookie sandwich dessert

First try for this restaurant. It was a little bit noisy but not too bad. The drinks were good..had a number of wine choices and martinis. I had a fish dish. The fish was nicely cooked. I wasn't a fan of the potato latke that was with the dish. Also had asparagus which was nice. My husband had two appetizers. The calamari which was good. He also had a tuna app that was his favorite. He would give that app a five star. Overall it was average for me mainly because of the sides with my dish. Overall value average. I would give it another try but probably for an app and drink(or a different menu item). It is casual overall and was a bit noisy at times. There is a separation between bar and main dining which cuts the noise...we just happened to get a very noisy diner nearby lol

Dined here during Scituate Restaurant week based on the published special menu. They changed the menu which a restaurant is allowed to do depending upon available ingredients, etc. The regular menu was also available. Beet salad was both delicious and had eye appeal with a crouton bowl enclosing delicious greens all seated on a generous portion of sliced red and yellow beets. Mussels were perfectly cooked and swimming in a rich sauce. The pasta special with sausage was too spicy for my dinner mate. My Bolognese was of the creamy variety although I prefer the deep red type. A little too heavy. Cocktails were inventive and delicious.

Enjoyed a fabulous meal with friends at Oro this past weekend. Our waitress, Val, was the absolute best. She was amazing, she even bent over backwards for my friend who has Celiac's Disease to be sure her meal was completely gluten free and enjoyable! Thank you to the wonderful chef also. Look forward to going back again.

Chef Robin does a phenomenal job at this hip, eclectic, amazingly fresh and creative spot! He takes the time to source local food and it's prepared with passion! Don't miss the corn chowder (in season), the lamb carpaccio, the tuna misto app (to die for), the amazing wine selection, and any of his mouth watering desserts. You cannot go wrong here! Enjoy!

Oro, in my humble opinion, is the best dining experience on the South Shore. It starts with an overly accommodating staff, cool and hip bar crowd, unique and gorgeous ambiance, and the best food south of Boston. I have still yet to come across a better dish than the Misto Del Mar and chef Robin can be seen most nights in his kitchen working to ensure that what is coming out is consistently wonderful. Bravo Oro, please keep it up!!

Oro was exceptional. The restaurant was recommended by a friend in NYC and it also turned out to be the favorite restaurant of a couple we know in Scituate.

The food and service were fabulous. The only downside was the two couples behind us and one of the men was obnoxiously loud and bragging about how talented and affluent he was. No reflection on the restaurant but it did add a bit of a distraction.
