We met my sister & her husband there for dinner. They have been there a few times & recommended Tibby's. Upon entering we were impressed with all the New Orleans decorations & vibe. We were promptly greeted & guided to our table. Our server, Giselle was fun & energetic. We ordered the barbecue shrimp & potato skins. We took our time, immersed ourselves in the atmosphere while enjoying a few adult beverages before ordering our main dishes. The portions were of nice size & we each took food home. We highly recommend the "Who Dat" sauce (if you like vinegar base). I had the cheddar shrimp & grits, with a side bowl of their jambalaya. I will order this dish again. It was amazing & perfectly topped off with what seemed to me to be a Demi glacé which had incredible flavor depth (IYKYK).
Two complaints IMHO:
1. The air conditioner was broken (July) . It's probably not the owners fault, but more the plaza's issue as it's not a stand alone building. We heard that it happens every summer....this needs to be addressed, or consider adding a mini-split or two if the landlords won't cooperate.
2. Again IMHO:
The size of the bowl shaped glasses are just too heavy & take up too much space in height, width & weight. Maybe a person could request a normal pint glass. Not sure.
Overall, we will come back soon. Whenever we get the urge for some jazzy food & fun environment to start our weekend this place will always be considered.
