Perhaps the best table service I've ever had. Like a well choreographed dance every step was perfect. While the dishes were very good, I didn't find them to be so delicious that I swooned over them and frankly, at this level I want to swoon! May be just my personal taste but my dining partner felt pretty much the same way. For perspective, I've dined at many fine restaurants over the years including Paul Bocuse Restaurant, Alinea and the French Laundry.

Wow! Amazing! I can’t wait for the menu to change to visit again. The staff is incredible.....& the culinary experience is 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Treat yourself to the premium beverage experience & you won’t be disappointed. My only comment is that they should ask guests to refrain from wearing perfume or cologne....as it interferes with other guests experience.

Fabulous experience, the ambience, service was impeccable and every detail thought through. The food was exceptional, with every dish providing an incredible taste, texture and flavour. Would highly recommended.

Amazing food. Flavors and textures I’ve never experienced before. We shared the standard wine pairing which was plenty and definitely added to the overall dining experience. A full one would have been too much. Service was professional and courteous. The most expensive meal I’ve ever had. It’s was terrific but $650 for dinner for two and a split pairing (before) tip was a kick in the pants.

An incredible experience. The sommelier was brilliant. The food was extraordinarily. The entry is unique and exciting, an experience unto itself. They treated us beautifully for our anniversary.

My cab was 10 minutes late and she called me from Oriole wondering why. She told me they needed my table later that night and since I was ten minutes behind that I had better “keep up with the kitchen “. When google maps got us there we could not find the entrance. I was delayed ten more minutes looking for the entrance. Beware, you must “keep up with the kitchen “ and don’t let traffic delay you from servicing the diners coming after you!

Very elegant restaurant. Service was very good. Would have liked it better if all the servers explained about the dishes in a way that I could hear about them better. Some did a very fine job, while others were kind of whispering maybe because they are trying not to disrupt the ambience of the place. The dishes were unique, thoughtful, and very delicious. Specially enjoyed the sablefish course, as well as the rind and uni dish. The wagyu beef was phenomenal. The amount of dishes were just enough for the 2 1/2 hours experience. The cookie and the cookie recipe that were given as to go gifts were a nice touch.

Amazing food, fantastic service. I would imagine it takes tremendous talent and dedication to create this experience. Try the reserve wine pairing, it just might be the best wine pairing in the world!

After 35 years of special occasions at restaurants, this is in the top two and perhaps number one all time. Incredibly creative and delicious items, paired perfectly with wine, sake and other libations, with servers who are friendly and fastidious without pretension. An amazing experience.

I have always respected, but have never quite understood or agreed with Michelin's methodology of awarding the coveted stars to restaurants. But for sake of consistency, when I compare Oriole to other 3-Star restaurants from an overall fine-dining experience, I fine that Oriole not only matches but even exceeds the experience we have had around the world. Is it the Avante-garde reuse of an old industrial building? In my humble opinion, that is what makes Oriole so much more special. This is not our first time at Oriole. And yes, we were not as surprised by the contrast of the exterior appearance and the industrial-chic charm of the inside. But, we enjoyed it just the same. But to more important things..

The menu was expertly crafted with delicate treatments of exquisite ingredients sourced from the far reaches of Hokkaido to a local farm just hours from the city. But more impressive than just the outstanding presentation and preparation was the creative genius that went into conceiving the dishes. One case in point is the pairing of foie gras with blueberries. While it is not unusual to balance fatty foods with acidic contrasts, this was almost playfully surprising in its effect. Or the presentation of uni. I have always enjoyed this jewel of the seas as a cold or at least room temperature preparation. This offering over a warm risotto blew us away. I could go on about all of the courses - but I think you the reader get a general idea.

We did enjoy the standard wine pairing very much. Yes, there were the rare finds and the excellent explanations for the choice for each course. But most importantly - as impressive as the beverages were on their own - they complimented the courses and let the dish still be the star.

The service is a unique blend of observance of fine dining protocols and friendly welcoming hospitality. A combination that is difficult to achieve and even rarer to perfect. But this is Oriole, after all!

Oriole rivals some of the best fine dining restaurants in NYC or LA. The intimate setting provides a warmth and comfort that supports the entire meal. The staff is extremely knowledgable, friendly, and attentive - they were always one step ahead of us without being aggressive. The menu was fresh and innovative. Each course presented its own set of surprises while sticking to the tradition and spirit of the dish. I am glad that we chose to spend our anniversary at Oriole (we traveled in from Texas) and would recommend to anyone looking for a culinary adventure.

Superlative. Everyone knows about the Michelin stars but the cuisine, atmosphere and service well exceeded our (quite high) expectations. From the first drop of a cocktail to the tiny bite sized ice-cream sandwich bit of desert, we were thrilled. The variety, originality and aesthetic of my vegetarian options was a delicious, beautiful and unusual as my sweetheart's offerings which included meat and seafood. Oriole would be a delightful place to celebrate a special occasion or to return often to appreciate the creativity and energy of this wonderful restaurant.

It might have been one of the best meals I've had in my life, with others being sentimental meals (ones cooked by my grandma,) or ones that are about the location itself (e.g. Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo). The food pairings were outstanding and full of surprises. The food placement (plate decor) were a piece of art to look at. I don't know what else I could have asked for. P.S. the guest restroom was also super impressive with thoughtful one-time usage supplies, I'm in awe!
