Perhaps the best meal we have had this year; just a stellar all-around experience. Oriole is arguably Chicago's best restaurant and is just about perfection. Best service in town, elegant yet super comfortable, excellent beverage program and exquisite food from the opening bites through desserts. Well worth the splurge; am already eagerly anticipating a return visit.

Our night was a wonderful experience. I think the ambiance is just right and the food with wine pairings were excellent. If you are looking for a special night out/ dining experience, I highly recommend Oriole.

This was our second visit to Oriole and it did not disappoint. Although it is 13 courses, they pace it well and keep portions small, so you aren’t overly stuffed by the end. Servers are incredibly well informed regarding food and wine, but are not pretentious. Noah Sandoval circulates to every table and was in the kitchen all evening, clearly still very involved in menu. I have been to many of the top restaurants in the city, and this is our favorite. Highly recommend for a special occasion or business dinner.

Phantastic food and excellent service in an interesting ambiance in an old warehouse. The set 11course menu is perfectly composed and surprises with new and innovative culinary combinations.

I ate here and Alinea in the same week - the food was better here. More traditional tasting menu cuisine and every dish was delicious. If you want a flashy experience, go to Alinea. If you want to delight the tastebuds, go here.

Only two words of warning - when I first arrived I was offered a welcome cocktail, so though I agreed to one nothing was ever provided. Also watch your toes if the server moves tables or chairs for you; one pushed the table onto my foot.

Despite those trivial mishaps, well worth the experience.

Wonderful. Worth all of the hype. Quite expensive (as expected), but may want to reserve only for special occasions. Highly suggest the non-spirit pairings (despite the expense).

From start to finish the best food in Chicago. All of the 13 courses and wine pairings were perfectly constructed with the truffle pasta and the A5 wagyu being the highlights. In my opinion the overall dining experience was better then that of Alinea with the food at Oriole being far superior.

Oriole is to dining what Hamilton is to musical theater. The hype is so great that you cannot possibly imagine that it is going to meet your built-up expectations, and then you get there and it exceeds your expectations in every way. The room, the food, the service, the ambience were all outstanding and astounding. It was as good of a meal as I have ever had. If there was better, I simply don't remember it.

Fabulous experience! After traveling all day, my husband and I were unable to make our 5:30 reservation. I frantically called to schedule a later time and Erin was very understanding and cooperative. Our experience was the best ever!

I was expecting amazing, but Oriole truly blew me away. Normally in tasting menus, there are always a couple of dishes that I don't care for - but I absolutely loved every single bite. It was the perfect amount of food to feel 100% satisfied without feeling uncomfortable full. The Chef even came out to shave fresh truffle on one of the dishes. His attention to detail can be seen and tasted in every dish. Truly an experience everyone needs to have!

Pretentious , precious, and way overpriced. One daily tasting , and no clue what you will be served until each miniature course appears. All part of the experience. While the staff calls in advance to see if you have allergies, there are no other questions asked about preferences. The only options provided are whether one wants the standard wine pairing, the tea pairing, or the reserve pairing (at $250 per person in addition to the menu). A la carte is only offered for beverages. We opted for the reserve pairing and were underwhelmed. Each wine was described in unnecessarily painstaking - indeed at times intrusive - detail, primarily to let us know how few bottles the vintners produced and how lucky we were to taste these unique wines. Unfortunately rarity did not equate to tasty or impressive. The wines - virtually all white - were fine. I find it difficult to imagine that the standard pairing was so inferior to make the premium worth it. It seems to be the kind of place where you say you've been and loved it to say you've been and loved it. Sorry - from the perspective of this old New Yorker, who has had many fine dining experiences, this was disappointing.

We went for our wedding anniversary. Definitely a special occasion place BUT not because it is stuffy or "special occasion", it was just so very very delicious and the atmosphere is cool, chic and beautiful. The food was incredible. We have been to the French Laundry, many of Alain Ducasse's restaurants, and many other Michelon Star restaurants and this was/is one of my favorites.

Great restaurent. The food was excellent. The wine was outstanding. Credit to the sommelier, she really knows her stuff. A tad pricy but given the compexity and quality of the food I understand why it costs so much. Definately one the top restaurents in the US. I highly recommend everyone goes.
