   Service was sooo efficient it made us feel rushed. I’ve been at Roy’s numerous times and this is the first time feeling this was. It was Not intentional from the staff. Love this place and will Always go back

   My husband, daughter, and I had our first visit to Roy's (06/03/2023) for my husband's birthday! The staff work very hard, super professional, and the food quality is unreal. The food prices are high. But you know what? Brah, the food QUALITY is incredible, your tummy gets so full, and go for the experience!! Our 4yr old had the kid's menu that came with appetizer, choice of entree, and dessert (the ice cream sandwich was a bit messy for her personally so she ate off our red velvet cheesecake lol), and she pounded everything. My husband and I both ordered the 3-course Pre Fixed (please excuse, I don't remember the spelling). Appetizer: a single jumbo shrimp with cocktail sauce and a single marinated rib meat, and side edamame. Entree: Short rib meat (so tender and tasty you can easily cut it with your fork), macadamia nut mahi mahi fish, and Orzo "mac n cheese" with sautéed cucumber + carrots. *Chef's kiss* Dessert: Perfect little 6" Red velvet cheesecake with a couple sliced strawberries.

   We had the set menu for two. The fish was dry and over cooked. The rest of meal tasted like it was reheated previously prepared food. Not what I expected for the price.

   Our second time here in 2021 and now 2023. We ordered pasta with tomato sauce, butter fish entree, and chocolate souffle for desert. Food, service and timeliness were excellent. It can be on a pricey side if you are not careful.

   I enjoyed Roy’s at Jacksonville Beach for years! This was always my favorite place for special occasions. Kawaii Kai was perfect! Ambiance, food and service was perfect!

   Absolutely fabulous!! The food was in the top ten meals I’ve ever had (and I’ve eaten all over the world!!) The crispy zucchini is heavenly. Service was spectacular, setting was beautiful and we have decided this was one of our best date nights ever!

    We arrived and was seated promptly. Waiter was friendly and informative. Food courses got to our table perfectly timed, from appetizers to main courses and desserts. We were all happy with what we ordered, Rack of Lamb, Seafood trio and Scallops. Roy’s is always consistent with their service and food. My son always orders escargot since he was 10 years old, we celebrated his 17th birthday there last night and every year.

    My wife and I always enjoy dining at Roy's Hawaii kai. Service is prompt, friendly and accommodating. Food is excellent. Atmosphere and view of the ocean and the mountain are very pleasant. Parking is very accessible.

    Everything about dinner at Roy’s was fantastic. The food, the service and the ambience can’t be beat. We had the Ocean Trio, Butterfish, and Shrimp ravioli. All were delicious. One of the best restaurants I have ever been too.

    Terrific as always. We grabbed a table outdoors with a sunset view of paddlers on the bay --this is the only restaurant with this particular great view. Tourists and residents alike get welcomed by Roy's staff as if they were special guests. Last night we splurged on the zucchini Bao buns, which should not be missed, the brussels sprouts, raviolis with tomato sauce and grilled salmon. All the dishes were excellent. Roy's gets the best salmon and then is careful to not overcook it. The salmon was flaky, tender and flavorful. A perfect Friday night.

    Amazing food, did the three course dinner which is a great way to try many signature items. Pineapple upside down cake one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. It was our first anniversary and they made it feel very special.

    I’ve been wanting to try Roy’s Hawaii Kai forever and finally had the chance to get in for their Mother’s Day brunch. When we walked in, there was no one downstairs, so we went up the stairs..the hostess on the 2nd floor told us “there’s a check in on the first floor” with an eye roll. Cool- we’re starting this off great. We were seated at the very back of the restaurant- fine whatever. Our waiter was so less than interested in us or making sure we were having a good time. Didn’t even offer small talk and forgot several several requests. The food was fine- my husbands “Da Plate” was the winner of the table. My MIL loved her scallops. My filet was just okay. The best part of the meal was the sweet girl pouring water. Really I get that it was a busy day…but it was supposed to be a special day too. Don’t get the hope of this place. Won’t be back to this location.

    This place has been in my bucket list of places to eat since we were in the mainland and I’m glad that they did not fail my expectations. Quality of food and quantity is great. Service is awesome and servers are very attentive. Highly recommended.

    We were greeted immediately and taken to our table which was ready. Our server was prompt and friendly. They even thanked us for returning Roy's to dine there again. Since we were there for a special occasion there were decorations on the table. We were happily surprised when our server brought us complementary appetizers from their current menu. We had the tempura zucchini on bao bread and the chicken spring rolls which were both excellent with many different flavor levels which all blended so well together. We ordered many appetizers and also the Ocean trio which had the macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi, the miso butterfish and the seared ahi. All of which were perfectly cooked and tasted so good!. We also received a complementary dessert on account of the special occasion we were there celebrating. That dessert was light and creamy and had a passion fruit flavor - we would order that again. The "ménage à trois" dessert was spectacular as was their signature chocolate soufflé. The service was outstanding, the food came out quickly and was definitely delectable. We loved every menu item we ordered, as each item was different and the flavors in each were so well balanced. We will happily return to Roy's again and again.

    The original Roys in Hawaii Kai did not disappoint. We shared the dragon roll which was amazing. I had the butterfish which was absolutely delicious. We ended our meal with the molten chocolate cake - so delicious. Our server was super nice and attentive. No complaints at all - highly recommend.

    Food and service was fine. I mentioned to the hostess (as well as notated in the open table reservation) that we were celebrating a birthday but we didn’t get a dessert and candle like another couple a few tables down did, so that was a downer. Credit card machine also went down though our server was apologetic for the wait.

    We ate on the second floor for dinner. The ambience was really nice, the wide open windows and the ocean view was great. Our server Ken (?) was awesome and the food was delicious. We had the butterfish and sashimi appetizer. They even gave us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. Highly recommend!

    As usual when we invite guests, the menu always has something for everyone's taste & the exemplary service by the attentive staff is found nowhere else. Mahalo for letting us use the gift certificate from our anniversary dinner, always at Roy's HK.
