After a two-year closure, Original Joe's, San Francisco’s quintessential Italian-American dining destination, revitalized iconic Daly City institution Joe’s of Westlake, and reintroduced it into the community as Original Joe’s Westlake. An anchor of Daly City from 1956 to 2014, Original Joe’s Westlake underwent an extensive two-year renovation, complete with a front-to-back interior remodel, including the kitchen and all dining spaces, and an exterior and landscaping overhaul. Following the Original Joe’s tradition, Westlake continues to prepare unpretentious, old-school Italian-American fare in an open kitchen for all to see. The menu is carefully crafted to reflect a past-meets-present hybrid of what Joe’s of Westlake used to be and what Original Joe’s Westlake is today.

Evoking the spirit of the original Joe’s of Westlake, the newly renovated restaurant transports guests to Westlake circa 1960. Boasting Sputnik lighting, terrazzo flooring and redwood accents throughout, Original Joe’s Westlake elicits mid-century America in the likes of Palm Springs, Beverly Hills and Las Vegas. The newly reimagined Cascade Room features show-stopping pimento orange banquettes, and offers a variety of options for large gatherings—from private rehearsal dinners and memorial receptions, to smaller non-private family dinners, class reunions and birthday celebrations. With beautiful custom sliding doors, the Cascade Room can be divided in half, creating two fully private event spaces, accommodating up to 50 guests each.

Original Joe’s Westlake is ALWAYS GREAT! but the other night it was particularly GREAT!!! So DELICIOUS!!! GREAT server!!! Sad I forgot his name! The staff is WONDERFUL! We LOVE OJW !!!♥️🌴♥️

I was disappointed when waitstaff did not acknowledge my husband's birthday. Also, at the end of our meal, we were not asked if we wanted coffee or to see the dessert menu. Did not sing happy birthday and packed a container of au jus to go that spilled all over the back of our suv. I felt we were being rushed out so they could open up for dinner service. I felt cheated out of our celebration.

First time dining at Westlake's Original Joe's. Our service was very good and food was good for the most part with some misses like dry french fries and over salted eggplant parmiganno. Our biggest issue was that the placed our party of 8 into a booth and it was extremely tight. The booth cannot fit 8 people comfortably and we should have been given a table. There's also no coat check so all the coats were also piled at the edge of the booth and one guest had to sit on a chair.

extremely slow food service. Saturday lunch is very busy, but sitting for 1 hour and 7 minutes after ordering before food arrives at table is too long. Very indifferent waiter.
